Welcome, Commander Code-8!Hello and welcome to Wookieepedia. I hope you like the place and choose to join our work. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
Wookieepedia aspires to be a reliable source for all Star Wars fans to read and draw information from, and as such, fan-created continuity and fan fiction are not allowed within our articles. All in-universe material must be attributable to a reliable, published source. Please do not remove talk page and forum comments, as they are part of the public record. Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the Senate Hall, visit our official IRC channel, or ask one of our administrators. May the Force be with you! |

Hey there, I just wanted to point out that per the sourcing policy, ref notes in the introduction are unnecessary. Happy editing!

Hi Commander Code-8! Your profile sounds almost like I wrote it myself! you are so similar to me. I live in Australia too, in NSW, blue mountains to be exact. More militiagung stuff
You recently Unidentified_Militiagung?diff=4062836&oldid=3752145|moved a page with the following explanation, "Militiagungs are the actual name for Gungan Warriors". Our page on Militiagung actually seems to imply that the term is an honorific for Gungan soldiers, that were in the Gungan Grand Army, and that not every brainwashed Gungan deserter with a heavy stick would be considered worthy of the title. But putting that aside, Unidentified Gungan warrior is the name provided by the source, not Unidentified Militiagung. If a james bond movie credits an actor as "creepy thug #3", we wouldn't move his page to "Villainous Uniformed Tech Lead." I'm going to ask an admin to undo your move, and whether or not the unmove is performed, I wanted you to know why. SinisterSamurai 08:00, June 20, 2012 (UTC)
Galactic Battlegrounds battle titles
Hi there, I saw that you changed the "confirm" templates to "Conjecture" templates on articles like the Reytha campaign. Just to check, what was your reason for doing so? The templates are there so we can find the proper titles for those articles. Corellian Premier

- Hey, Code-8. Thanks for contributing to WP:VG. When you add articles to the articles needing creation section, though, can you please add which game they are from, like you did on one of them? That way, the other users can know whether they have access to the source, and can therefore perhaps create the articles easier. Thank you. Cheers.—Cal Jedi

Basicaly, what separates a GAN from a CAN is it's length, not its noteworthiness. Anything under 250 words is a CAN, while GANs are 250 and greater. Right now, OOM is under 250 words, so he will be a CAN unless there is nothing else to add to him. Hope that helps, 501st dogma(talk) 01:14, September 17, 2012 (UTC)

Archiving Good Article Nominations
While we appreciate your efforts, please note that only AgriCorps members should archive successful GANs. While the CAN page allows for any user to archive successful nominations, both the GAN and FAN page are the preserve of the AC and the INQ. Thank you for your cooperation. - Cavalier One(Squadron channel) 09:53, October 8, 2012 (UTC)
- No apologies necessary, really. I can understand the excitement. Even amongst the AC we tend to avoid archiving our own noms without consensus from other members in IRC. - Cavalier One

Hey Commander Code-8. When voting on FAN or GAN pages, please make sure to update the vote count as required. In or around?
Hey, Code-8. Not too long ago, in Hantic's GAnom, I asked you for clarification on whether The Essential Atlas dated the War of the Gungan Tribes specifically to 3000 BBY, or just "around" 3000 BBY. You asserted "around," but Fred's asserting "in" on Tenko's GAnom. Do you think you could weigh in, or possibly let me know where in the Atlas it is so I can check myself? Thanks. Menkooroo (talk) 10:43, December 30, 2012 (UTC)
- No worries. I just found the reference in the "Naboo" section of the Atlas, and it definitively says "in 3000 BBY." Be sure to change all of the "around"s to "in" in your recent Battlegrounds articles, in the articles themselves and the reference notes, too. Menkooroo (talk) 12:41, December 30, 2012 (UTC)

Moving pages
Please don't rename pages by cutting and pasting the contents to the new title. Doing so leaves the edit history under the old title, thereby breaking the attribution required by our CC-BY-SA license. Use the MediaWiki move function to rename pages instead, as that function will move both the text and edit history. If you cannot use the move function for technical reasons, ask an administrator to perform the move for you. Thank you. —MJ— War Room 00:00, January 2, 2013 (UTC)
- Whoops, sorry about that. I assumed it was okay since I was still leaving the old page as a disambiguation, but I was clearly wrong. Won't do it again. Commander Code-8 To say hi, press 42 02:31, January 2, 2013 (UTC)

- What aspect of editing do you enjoy the most? And on the flip side, what about the site would you change if you could?
- What kind of advice would you pass on to new and aspiring editors?
- You have your own personal project about Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds. Have you always been a big fan of the game?
- What are some of your other favorite Expanded Universe works, and which film is best?
- On the other end of the spectrum: Your least favorites. Go!
- What's the Star Wars fan community like in Australia? Is everything as readily available as it is in the US and Canada? Have you ever been to any conventions or anything?
- What role does Wookieepedia play in the broader Star Wars community?
- What do you think the future holds for Star Wars... and, consequently, for Wookieepedia?
- Any other thoughts you'd like to share?
- Hello there! I've just published the interview. The RSS feed on the Main Page should update within the next few days, and then your interview will be there for all the world to see! Menkooroo (talk) 14:02, January 7, 2013 (UTC)

If you ever a moment to check, that would be nice—provided you'll let me return the favour, of course. --LelalMekha (talk) 12:58, January 21, 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for the tip. I've got to admit the article does look a bit messy for the time being, but it's still a work in progress, and there's plenty of room for improvement! I shall take account of your remarks and keep working. --LelalMekha (talk) 23:26, January 21, 2013 (UTC)
- Oh, by the way, if the game does say that Itchy hadn't seen Chewbacca for a while at the time of the Vor'Na'Tu mission, it kinda contradicts The Wookiee Storybook. That children's book was meant to take place in 0 BBY, while the Vor'Na'Tu campaign happens in 0.5 ABY. Is that last date correct? --LelalMekha (talk) 23:49, January 21, 2013 (UTC)
- That sounds like a continuity error at any rate, since Itchy met Han Solo during the time span of the novel Rebel Dawn, whic takes place between 2 BBY and 0 BBY. That means Itchy already knew his son was free at the time... Weird. What is also weird is that Leia calls Itchy "an old friend." I can't imagine where (and when) she knew him from. --LelalMekha (talk) 00:07, January 22, 2013 (UTC)

FAN page reviewing
Hey, Code-8,
I'm writing this to you on behalf of the entire Inquisitorius. At our recent meeting, we discussed the current lack of non-INQs who are actively involved in reviewing on the FAN page, and we decided that the best solution was to simply appeal to people to review more. This first paragraph is being sent verbatim to a whole bunch of people, but the following one is being written specifically for you.
You've been showing some fantastic reviewing skills lately, and I want to thank you for bringing them to the FAN page. I want to encourage you to keep it up—in this, the INQ's quest to kick-start the somewhat-stagnant FAN page, we'd love to have you keep doing what you're doing. Cheers, and have a great day! Hey Commander Code-8! Thank you for bringing those to my attention. I'm totally willing to bring those few articles to FA status, but I think we'll have to wait a little for that, since there are currently 46 FA nominations. I guess we should wait for the list to be less clogged before adding any new noms. As far as Galactic Battlegrounds is concerned, I can do that for you if you can wait one day or two (I'm still staying on campus and won't be home before tomorrow). OOM-9 in Battlegrounds
Hello Commander Code-8, I saw you've worked on a ton of Battlegrounds articles. Would you by chance know if that game confirms OOM-9 was destroyed after the deactivation of the Droid Army, as opposed to the possibility he could have later been reactivated? If no source confirms OOM-9's permanent deactivation/destruction, I think the date of destruction needs to be removed as speculation. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 18:39, May 25, 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks, I just removed that date destroyed from his infobox. The recent AC moot brought up the fact that it was unclear if those battle droids were destroyed for good following their deactivation. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 15:10, May 26, 2013 (UTC)
WP:VG milestone
Good day, gamers! WookieeProject Video Games has reached a new milestone. The members of WP:VG have taken 100 articles to Comprehensive status! The 100th article was Inspector-General, from the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II in-game databank. The full list of articles can be seen here. WP:VG and its members can be proud of the accomplishments we have made. As we near the two year mark of this ambitious project, we look back and see all the great progress and improvements we have made to Wookieepedia as a whole and the video game aspect of the wiki in particular. Most of these 100 articles would have probably been lost in the shuffle had it not been for the hard work, dedication, and patient perceptiveness of the users who comprise WP:VG. Out of all the current WookieeProjects, WookieeProject Video Games has the second highest amount of Comprehensive articles to its name. I would like to say good work and congratulations to all the members of WP:VG. First EduCorps meeting
Hello, I am inviting you to the very first EduCorps IRC meeting, which will be held at 7 PM ET on Saturday August 31st. I am inviting all Inquisitors, AgriCorps members, and EduCorps members to a meeting in order to discuss the large amount of old comprehensive articles that are in need of maintenance. I would also like to discuss the possibility of increasing the responsibilities of EduCorps-only users due to the lack of reviewers on the Comprehensive article nominations page and CA review page. Please come join the discussion on this page if you wish to participate in the meeting. I encourage anyone who wants to contribute to add any articles with issues to the appropriate section on the page. Thank you for your time.--Exiled Jedi (Greetings) 03:59, August 18, 2013 (UTC)

Hey, CC-8, just wanted to give you a heads-up about the EduCorps Meeting that's coming up next Saturday. Hope you can make it. Cade Calrayn 16:42, August 24, 2013 (UTC)

No problem my friend. I suppose it should be good if I post them tomorrow? --LelalMekha (talk) 10:10, October 4, 2013 (UTC)
- Hi man. See if those two pics fit your needs. I can also do the Wookiee worker icon, but what do you intend to do with it? It's really small, you know. --LelalMekha (talk) 16:17, October 5, 2013 (UTC)
EduCorps things
Hello, EduCorps member. This is a general message to you, as an EC member, regarding EC membership responsibilities. In accordance with recent site mandate, it is now the responsibility of all EC-exclusive members (EC members who are not otherwise also members of the Inq or AC) to maintain the Comprehensive article system by reviewing CANs and attending EC meetings. Since the beginning of this initiative, several members of the EduCorps have made no effort to meet their new responsibilities, so the EC came to a formal agreement to send out general notices to all EC members reminding them of their expected responsibilities. For those EC members who do not meet their responsibilities, an effort will be made to remove their membership. The next EC meeting has been scheduled for next weekend, on Saturday, October 12, at 7 PM ET. Hope to see everyone there. Thank you. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 19:48, October 4, 2013 (UTC)

EC Meeting 5
Greetings, EduCorps Meeting 5 is scheduled for Saturday, November 16th at 7 PM ET. If you are unable to attend, please leave notes on the meeting page on how the articles under review should be handled. (If you are not an EC-only member and wish to stop receiving EC meeting notifications, please leave a message on my talk page.)--Exiled Jedi (Greetings) 05:58, November 11, 2013 (UTC)
EduCorps membership notice
Hello, this is a notice regarding the recent changes to the EduCorps reviewing system. EduCorps members are now responsible for either attending or leaving notes for the regularly scheduled EC meetings. If you are unable to leave notes or attend the next meeting—which is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, December 7th at 7 PM ET—you will be removed from the EduCorps membership list. If you are able to participate fully at a later date, your EduCorps rights may be reinstated at that time.--Exiled Jedi (Greetings) 03:47, November 17, 2013 (UTC)
Boorka and Rogoe audioquotes
Heu Commander Code-8! If you're interested, I have the appropriate audio quotes ready for the Boorka's and Rogoe's articles. If you agree, I can add them in. --LelalMekha (talk) 20:29, November 21, 2013 (UTC)
Leaving
Hey, CC-8. Just wanted to say that I'm sorry to see you go, but I understand where you're coming from. I thought you had great potential for the Wook, but I understand that when life calls, one must answer. Congratulations on the progress you made during your time here, and best wishes for the future. Cheers.—Cal Jedi (Personal Comm Channel) 01:42, December 16, 2013 (UTC)
It's been a pleasure
Hey CC-8, upsetting to see you leave. It's been a pleasure making your acquaintance. Thanks for all the help you gave me when I started actively editing, especially helping me through my first status article nomination. Best of luck with wherever life takes you, Supreme Emperor (talk) 04:01, December 16, 2013 (UTC)
Your leaving
I'm sad to see you go, as you've become such a great contributor to the Wook. I'll wish you best of luck for the future. 501st dogma(talk) 12:06, December 16, 2013 (UTC)

Galactic Battlegrounds
Hey, first of all welcome back, although I'm not sure if we either met. :P I came back from a rather long absence time too.
A question: Do you plan to work on Stam Reath and Naat Reath in the future? The first would be within the scope of my Geonosis strike team project and the second one seems to be interesting. So if you don't plan to write on these articles, please let me now. BTW: Do you where to find a free-download of the English version of Galactic Battlegrounds (and its expansion)?
Thanks for your time. Clone Commander Lee Talk 12:29, March 29, 2014 (UTC)
- Hey, thanks for your reply, I'll take good care of the two. :) Yeah, it kinda sucks that the game isn't available for purchase anymore and I was unable to find any (legal) downloads. At least I found two o.k. playthroughs on youtube, but if I don't trust them to 100%. So when I have finished the Reaths, I would be glad if you could take a look at them and tell me if there is anything wrong. An additional question: Is there any info about the two in the in-game-databank, perhaps in the Echuu-Shen Jon entry? The video showing this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4oTFR1rZivY&list=PLFF9A01B16B372F25&index=76) isn't available. If you have any other links for playthrough, info etc. please let me know.
I also took the liberty to update the redirects on all these amazing article related to the Gungan campaign. Clone Commander Lee Talk 19:50, April 4, 2014 (UTC)

Re: GB Images... Again
Sorry, I did miss it indeed. The thing is, I'm on holiday right now, so I can't play GB for the time being. :-/ Won't be back home until the 23rd. Will that do? --Lelal Mekha (Audience Room) 10:53, April 13, 2014 (UTC)

Clone troopers confusion
Ok, I am confused. For the GA nomination - Good article nominations/Unidentified clone trooper 2 - JangFett mentioned that there is no need to mention his being a human male, as that is covered by saying he is a clone trooper. This is supported by the GA 2242. However, for the CA nomination (which might end up being a GA) - Comprehensive article nominations/Unidentified clone trooper - both you and Cade Calrayn are asking for mention of that clone being human, contradicting the aforementioned article.
As this involves two inqs and an edu member, I am not sure what to do, though i am inclined to follow what Jang said, as the aforementioned article agrees with this. I have left messages on the other users pages as well. Thanks for helping with trying to clear this up, i tried IRC but got no response, and posting a topic on the senate hall wouldn't necessarily get a response from you. Re:GB Image requests
I have those images you requested done. You can find them from my Contributions. Hope these are good enough for your needs! --Za'rath (talk) 17:09, April 28, 2014 (UTC)
- I have that Tutorial 1 picture done for you, like before it's in my Contributions.

CSWE
Hey, Code-8. Just a heads up for your Destruction of Otoh Sancture article that the CSWECite template is now required for CSWE referencing, so you should update that article's referencing when you get a chance. Thanks. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 06:35, May 13, 2014 (UTC)

Hey Code-8. I wanted to apologize for completely forgetting your images request there, but I see you did manage to find what you needed. :-$ As I wish to catch up, I offer you to add audio quotes to some of your articles—Boorka, for example.—Unsigned comment by LelalMekha (talk • contribs)

Certainly. What is it that you need? --Lelal Mekha (Audience Room) 11:51, June 9, 2014 (UTC)
- Here are two of the images you asked: the camp and the ambush. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the two warriors in the ambush shot, they simply are too far behind Itchy. I'm still trying to figure out how I'll get the battle snapshot, though... there are many problems with it (Wookiees hidden by trees, grouping togother too much and so on). --Lelal Mekha
