This page is for Featured article nominations. A Featured article is an article that is of complete quality and represents the best a Wookieepedia article can be. It is for fully fleshed out subjects that go beyond the limited content of Good and Comprehensive articles. On this page, users can nominate articles that they believe are ready to be reviewed to achieve Featured status.

The article-nomination process is not a way to showcase your favorite articles, but rather articles that are of high quality. Articles placed on this page will be extensively reviewed by experienced editors, including the presiding Inquisitorius review panel. The nomination process will require the article nominator to respond to objections and improve the article until the requisite number of users supports the nomination.

In undertaking a nomination on this page, the nominator is taking responsibility for their nominated article. This means they need to thoroughly read the following instructions, implement them into their nominated article, and respond to given objections. Nominators are encouraged to ask more experienced editors for guidance and assistance, but self-sufficiency is a requirement of the article-nomination process. It is not inherently the job of reviewers to rewrite elements of an article, but rather to guide nominators to be able to fix issues themselves.

Your nomination is your responsibility. Nominations that severely neglect the following rules or otherwise fall idle after two weeks will be subject to immediate removal.

READ THIS FIRST!

A Featured article must…

  1. …be well-written and comprehensively detailed.
  2. …be unbiased, with a neutral point of view.
  3. …have comprehensive Appearances and Sources lists.
  4. …be fully referenced, including all quotes and images. See Wookieepedia:Sourcing for more information.
  5. …follow the Manual of Style, Layout Guide, and all other policies on Wookieepedia.
  6. …be stable during and following the review process. This means the article does not change significantly from day to day with new content and is not the subject of ongoing edit wars. This does not apply to vandalism or other administrative edits, such as page protection.
  7. …not be tagged with any sort of improvement tags (i.e. more sources, expand, etc).
  8. …have no redlinks.
  9. …provide at least one quote on the article if available. A leading quote at the beginning of the article is preferred but not required if no quotes are available. Although quotes may be placed in the body of the article, a maximum of one quote is allowed at the beginning of each section or subsection.
  10. …include a "Behind the scenes" section for in-universe articles.
  11. …include a reasonable number of images of the highest quality to illustrate the article, as source availability permits.
  12. …provide an introduction that gives a good summary of the topic.
  13. …be at least 1000 words long. This word total counts the introduction, the article body, and "Behind the scenes" material, but not captions, quotes, headers, etc. For clarification, please refer to this flowchart.
  14. …be properly titled in accordance with Wookieepedia's treatment of Canon and Legends articles; i.e., no nomination may have "/Canon" in the title.
  15. …be nominated by a user who has promoted at least one article to Good article status. Exceptions can be made for a Good article nomination that, due to objections post-nomination, has gone over the Good article word limit, so long as the number of words added during the Good article nomination process is 250 or fewer.

How to nominate:

  1. Select an article you feel is worthy of Featured status. Nominated articles must meet all fifteen requirements stated above.
  2. Add {{FAnom}} at the top of the article you are nominating, and save the page. Please note that if the article you are nominating has been nominated for Featured article status previously, you will need to specify the number of the nomination as a parameter (e.g. {{FAnom|second}}). To automatically generate an index upon nomination, use {{FAnom|index=1}}.
  3. Open the redlink in a new tab to create the nomination page, modifying the preloaded instructions as necessary.
  4. Copy the code provided to the bottom of this page.
  5. Purge the article to update the template.
  6. Other users will object to the nomination with issues and suggested improvements (errors, style, organization, images, notability, sources, etc).
  7. The nominator should then adjust the article until the objections are satisfied. The objector is responsible for striking their objection when it has been addressed, not the nominator. Additionally, reviewers will often copy-edit the article themselves as desired to fix any issues.
  8. Following their review, other users will vote to support the nomination. Users may not vote on their own nomination.
  9. Each user (except for members of the Inquisitorius) shall be limited to four active Featured article nominations at any given time. Any additional nominations will be subject to immediate removal.
  10. Users must successfully complete one Featured article nomination before they can have two nominations active on the FAN page at one time. Likewise, users must complete two successful FA nominations before they can have three, and three successful FA nominations before they can have four.

How to review:

  1. To review an article, users should read the article completely, keeping a sharp eye out for mistakes.
  2. The article should be reviewed with the criteria listed above, and any issues should be placed under the Object section of the article's nomination page. Objections should be clearly explained, and detail how the article can be improved.
  3. Objections should then be addressed by the nominator. Once the objector is satisfied, they should strike their objection. The nominator should not strike reviewers' objections for them.
  4. Once a reviewer is satisfied with the article, they can vote to support it. Please note that in order to support a nomination, you must have 50 mainspace edits.

Result:

  1. If a nomination has been active for over two days and has no active objections, it may pass with a total of either five Inquisitorius votes, four Inquisitorius and two user votes, or three Inquisitorius and four user votes.
  2. Once the nomination is successful, the article will be considered a "Featured article." As such, an Inquisitorius member will archive the nomination using JocastaBot in Wookieepedia's Discord server and place the article on the Featured articles page. Only members of the Inquisitorius are allowed to perform these archiving tasks.

All nominations will be considered idle and are subject to immediate removal by Inquisitorius vote if objections are not addressed after a period of 2 weeks.

  • How do we know that the correct Coruscant and the Core Worlds image is the one in Rhinnal's entry and not the one in Ralltiir's?

  • That the atmosphere is "Type I" is infobox-exclusive (body only mentions breathable).
  • Galactic Basic Standard is also infobox-exclusive.
  • "In 22 BBY, the Allied Tion Historical Society's..."—generally, pretty much all of the HNN stuff requires a GrS date conversion like here for any BBY inclusion in prose since those themselves don't support it outright.
  • Tython, Ord Mantell, and Ruan should have context as a planet or a world.
    • Done.
  • I spy Jedi vs. Sith in the sources, which does have an IU book and is mentioned as a 40 ABY compendium like other diegetic works in other SAs. Just wanted to briefly check to see what the nature of Rhinnal's mention was in that because it's likely eligible for a similar note. It seems like Platt's Smuggler's Guide also has an IU equivalent.
    • Added JvS, but Rhinnal's mention in Platt is in the OOU character development section as a possible homeworld, so not applicable. Cade GalacticRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 23:11, 21 October 2025 (UTC)
  • Regarding the quote caption in locations; ending punctuation in quote attributions is generally disallowed since they're not allowed to be full sentences
  • Regarding the two links to characters in the top quote attribution; would be unneeded as both are linked elsewhere below
  • Does Episode I Adventures 1: Search for the Lost Jedi support a flatcite to 33 BBY without additional referencing? I took a quick peek at the book's page and it seems to say it was 32 BBY. But even if it was 33 BBY, curious if the book itself has that somewhere in there, as its fairly unusual for a narrative book to self-support its dates.
  • I also wanted to check up on the 27 ABY flatcite for Star by Star's date; we've had some nominations in the past come through from that and most of them include The Essential Reader's Companion date notes.
  • Regarding Mara Jade Skywalker's linking in the quote caption, it would be standard to include some form of context for her in the quote attribution if thats the only place she's introduced, like a rank or role.
  • There's definitely room for a BTS image perhaps of the Adventure Journal cover or of any of the other milestones media mentioned there.
  • Its generally not standard to include publishers for children's books (in this case Scholastic) without referential need. I also don't think the month is needed there as its the only 1999 source being discussed.
  • Its standard to introduce a link to both the series and the issue when referring to magazines, in this case something like "fifth issue of the Star Wars Adventure Journal" includes both, but as long as both links are somehow included that works too.spookywillowwtalk 17:05, 26 September 2025 (UTC)
    • Tackled most of these, but I pulled my back and am going to go lay down. Will try to fix the planets & BTS image later. Cade GalacticRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 22:21, 7 October 2025 (UTC)

  • A Guide to the Star Wars Universe coins weapons officer and specifically identifies the Y-wing's navigators (obviously seen in Return of the Jedi before that book) as being weapons officers. In terms of treating "weapons officer" and "chief gunnery officer" as not inherently the same except for the literal cases of pirate and privateer chief gunnery officers being interchangeably called weapons officers, I can think of numerous real life cases of inconsistencies where 2 different titles are interchangeable in one situation and separate in another. • So, the article says "The Empire moved in to the Morlani system the day after the incident on Ferrix,[16] imposing permanent authority there[15] and relieving the majority of the Pre-Mor Authority staff from their posts.[17]" However, the Empire took over the full Free Trade Sector, so it should really read "imposing permanent authority there[15] and across the greater Moralana sector (cite to the encyclopedia)." The bit about relieving majority of staff can then be its own sentence. Editoronthewiki (talk) 19:59, 9 August 2025 (UTC)
  • I think you can begin the sentence about Karn moving to Morlana with "Against the wishes of his mother, Eedy Karn,(cite to Harvest) the Coruscanti[1] Syril Karn..." You could maybe even just cite him being Coruscanti to Harvest as well

  • I'm seeing on inconsistent linking on related pages to Morlana. I noticed that on Tac-Corpo, there is a redlink to Preox-Morlana sentry guard. The page for Pre-Mor Authority Security Forces just calls them "sentry guards," linking it back to Tac-Corpo. I also saw the same redlink to "Pre-Mor Authority Security Forces" linked on a few of the Preox-Mor corpos' pages, all cited to the SWInsider "On Program" — Star Wars Insider 220. Is this the same as the Tac-Corpo or a different Preox-Mor subunit that needs to be linked to Morlana One? StarWarsFan327Talk 14:06, 14 December 2025 (UTC)

The episode itself obviously calls them sentry guards, but Luthen calls them Corpos in Reckoning, which is why it's all the same page I'd say. • Stats on his Galatic Files card should be added to skills and abilities like on GA Pons Limbic and FA J'Quille. Skifffy (talk) 23:39, 7 September 2025 (UTC)
    • It's a bit unclear to me exactly how we're quantifying those stats. On Pons Limbic's article, he is described to have "above average" of certain traits and "average" of others, but his Galactic Files card gives no indication of where "above average" or "average" (or "below average") are considered to lie; we don't know that around halfway up the graph is actually average, the average could lie somewhere else entirely; "average" is not the same as "middle," it just means "most common" (assuming a data set has a wide enough breadth of data and isn't solely individuals on the extreme ends of a spectrum). Looking at Yarael's card, I could certainly describe him as "skilled" or "proficient" in the stats/traits shown on his card (given his are all near-maxed out), but if you're looking for the info from the card to be described in a similar manner to Pons or J'Quille, I'm hesitant to do so. - Thannus (DFaceG) (he/him) (talk) 07:00, 11 September 2025 (UTC)
      • With how long the articles had been at their statuses, I thought some precedent had already been established for these cards. I'll bring this up to the article's nominator about this. Skifffy (talk) 22:25, 15 September 2025 (UTC)

  • Yarael Poof is mentioned on page 5 of Star Wars Kids (1999) 9: "Yoda was a hand puppet. Mas Amedda, who stood next to Chancellor Valorum in the Senate, was prosthetic makeup. A good example of the animatronic masks we created, besides the Neimoidians, was Yarael Poof." —DKS MaXoO (talk) 20:39, 30 August 2025 (UTC)

  • The ref for the "Outcome" field in the infobox doesn't explain how it's an outcome of the civil war per se. Might need to remove this if this is just a coincidence of timing and no causality was established. OOM 224 16:24, 7 October 2025 (UTC)

  • I don't see anything in the databank that indicates the gender Lewisr (talk) 00:17, 19 October 2025 (UTC)

  • Cybot Galactica and Forensics droid are infobox exclusive, so should be added into the body somewhere. And Galactic Republic should be worked into the biography as well, probably at the mention of the Coruscant Security Force Lewisr (talk) 00:17, 19 October 2025 (UTC)

  • I think the 2nd paragraph of the introduction could be split, it'd look better imo to have 3 roughly similar sized paragraphs Lewisr (talk) 22:44, 25 October 2025 (UTC)

  • I believe you can add the mention of Russo in the file in Scum and Villainy as a quote in legacy, if you look at Yudrish Sedran for example. Also on this and to confirm, no other available quotes that could be potentially to the other quote less sections? Lewisr (talk) 22:44, 25 October 2025 (UTC)
    • I added quotes from Scum and Villainy and Sabotage to the related sections that were missing quotes, asides from "Coruscant Work." Not sure what source to use a quote from for that section, as the content in the Coruscant Work section was only mentioned in source material. StarWarsFan327 (talk) 21:37, 28 October 2025 (UTC)
      • If there's nothing that can be added then no worries, just wanted to check if there was anything or not Lewisr (talk) 05:38, 1 November 2025 (UTC)
    • Is the quote I added to the legacy section too long compared to the length of the section? Should I use a "..." to shorten the middle of the quote? StarWarsFan327 (talk) 21:37, 28 October 2025 (UTC)
      • Yes I'd say that'd be a good idea in this case. Would recommend the formatting used in the BTS on Shirene for applying that Lewisr (talk) 05:38, 1 November 2025 (UTC)
        • I shortened the quote a bit, but it still is a bit long for the section, in comparison to the quote used on Shirene. I don't want to cut out context, but everything said in this quote has already been stated in prose earlier on the page. Do you think more could be cut and retain enough of the context? StarWarsFan327 (talk) 21:39, 3 November 2025 (UTC)
          • Sorry the link to Shirene was mostly just for what to do when skipping dialogue. I don't really know what much else to suggest cutting. I think I'm fine with it now, and if anyone else wants to see it shrunk later they can object themselves Lewisr (talk) 03:30, 14 November 2025 (UTC)

  • The Test section is four paragraphs, so it could be split

  • Brought this up in the Discord a while ago to no response but there's a bit of a headache that I'm hoping this nomination will resolve: I haven't found a source that explicitly states that the ones behind Maul's resurrection were the Prophets of the Dark Side. In the comic, they refer to themselves as "adherents to the dark side," and if you're just looking at the comic, it's implied that they're remnants/descendants of Baron Yorn's movement. It's been assumed that they were Prophets way back when the article was created in 2006, and this information is repeated across numerous articles, which is why I haven't gone and removed it without getting other editor's inputs. The closest we have to confirmation is that Kalakar Six is located in the Dromund system, but that's still not as satisfactory as I would like. Hoping there's just an obscure source/forum comment that clarifies this, otherwise I'll have a bit of rewriting to do. Commander Code-8 Hello There! 08:36, 28 October 2025 (UTC)

  • Is the skirmish at Osou spaceport actually days later? I checked and it only seems to be a single day after CometSmudge (talk) 02:24, 14 November 2025 (UTC)
  • The Ronin needs context and linking in the intro

      • The infobox says dark, but the body says black. It should be made consistent, and I don't think a specific color can really be listed since all the images are in black and white.
  • The Ronin being a former Sith isn't citable to "The Duel"
  • I think the timeline in A handsome bounty is still a bit off. The Ronin meets the Traveler the day after the skirmish, and they head to Osou together. Once they reach Osou, they split up, and that's when the Traveler encounters the Gran in the cantina. Then a few hours after they split up, the Traveler finds the Ronin again and warns him about the Gran. CometSmudge (talk) 19:43, 17 November 2025 (UTC)

  • We usually give full dates for magazines of most types; was curious about that 59th issue mentioned and whether the reference on the media page can't be used for that full date. To my knowledge we've been taking ones like that as valid for other SAs.spookywillowwtalk 18:39, 14 November 2025 (UTC)
    • The 1stm was a result of the LEGO videos being recategorised to a Source, so I've removed that and rejuggled the BTS accordingly. The missing date was just me being forgetful 😅 OOM 224 20:29, 17 November 2025 (UTC)

  • That October 13th date isn't citable to the appendix itself. It should probably use the Substack ref like Jero system.
  • Seems like it isn't categorized in Slice planets (and yes I realize that it's in the sector category here too, but according to the new category structure it still gets main overarching region + secondary region + sector cat since they're not full overlaps.
  • A redirect present in intro and body.spookywillowwtalk 18:34, 14 November 2025 (UTC)

  • Should the appendix be listed in sources? And also counted as a 1stID? Seems like it should just be the Galaxy Map in this instance Lewisr (talk) 04:00, 22 November 2025 (UTC)

  • I recognize that this might be a controversial suggestion, but I think that Luthen's line from "Welcome to the Rebellion" can be reflected in some form. Something along the lines of, "After Andor's success on Sienar, Rael pondered if something greater had been acting through Andor on Sienar and during his other missions." • In the BTS, the citation to the release date does not say specific dates after December 10, asides from confirming they released one a week, and as a result, does not specify that "You Have a Lot to Learn About Pirates" released on December 24th. Perhaps to make it clearer, the citation template could be changed to match the release date Twitter citation that is on "You Have a Lot to Learn About Pirates," and specifies the exact date every episode released. • I'm going to push back slightly on assuming the TOR PC who did the Crew Skill mission here must be the Outlander. Shadow of Revan had content that was not directly part of the main story and therefore isn't assumed to have been canonically done by the Outlander. We already assume that each of the eight classes was on Rishi for one reason or another at that time based on the limited class-specific content released in the expansion, for example, and there's nothing saying that since the Outlander as a unified player character first fully began to take shape during the Revan expansion, therefore every canonical questline not part of the main story must also feature the Outlander to the exclusion of everyone else. We already have confirmation that the Outlander as a character distinct from the class stories existed earlier, with post-Eternal Throne content confirming that your Outlander was the one who defeated Malgus during the Illum questlines, but we don't assume that every (Republic) sidequest released since Illum therefore must feature the Outlander (whom, for article writing purposes, we treat as a Republic player). Since Shadow of Revan still has all eight separate player characters running around at the same time and the story unification into the Outlander is only confirmed to affect the expansion's main story, there's no reason to assume non-story content, including the Crew Skill missions released at that time, must be completed by the Outlander. If this were Crew Skill missions released in the Fallen Empire or any later patch, then I would say we could assume those were completed by the Outlander, since by KOTFE there's only the unified Outlander storyline. But before KOTFE I don't think there's enough evidence to be able to assume that anything not part of the main story must have been completed by the Outlander. Fan26 (Talk) 05:18, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
    • I mean, I'm pretty sure it was you who originally asked me to change it to the Outlander, so of course I'm fine with changing it back. :P Imperators II(Talk) 08:02, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
      • Lol I honestly have no memory of that, but if I did ask you to do so then I was definitely in the wrong. There is limited precedent for taking this route anyway re: Revan Crew Skill content, but firmly hammering it in both on the FAN Page and the project discord channel is a good step forwards. • I noticed the Facebook card also has miswritten Maul's species as "Zabrack." I think this should be mentioned somewhere, although I'm thinking it may be too unrelated to the Eighth Brother's TIE. I could see it being mentioned amongst the TIE's continuity errors, or perhaps this could also just be mentioned on Maul's page instead. StarWarsFan327Talk 14:32, 22 November 2025 (UTC)
  • In the equipment section of C1-10P's infobox, it calls his arms "Retractable grasping arms," as opposed to grasper arms. Are these supposed to be the same thing, as the page on "grasper arms" doesn't mention Chopper or the C1 model, and Chopper's page does not link to the grasper arms?StarWarsFan327Talk 17:24, 3 December 2025 (UTC)
    • The Audio description of the episode used the term "grasper arms" so that's what I went with. Most likely they're different words for the same thing, but that'd require research into both subjects and a possible merge, which imo is out of scope of this nom.
