The general consensus of the previous SH about this subject is that most board games are inherently notable like video games because they offer unique canonical information and art. However, card games, which was not previously covered in the SH are in much more of gray area. For example, card games like Star Wars: UNO Technical Schematics have canonical information, and are thus notable, or unique card games such as Star Wars: The Deckbuilding Game. However, I think that most people, including myself, would consider things like Star Wars playing card sets to just be merchandise and thus not notable of independent pages. In between that, there are things like regular UNO or trivia games such as Star Wars Picture This or Top Trumps Quiz - Star Wars. I am not sure what to do about the card games, but I think the Notability policy can have a small update to clarify that board games and video games are exceptions to the general rule that merchandise don't get articles. - Sounds fine. Basically whats done already anyway - every video game naturally has a page.—spookywillowwtalk 04:02, 22 January 2025 (UTC)

- One thing I will note about about boardgames is there is Star Wars versions of Monopoly and Risk ect that might not need pages. ThePedantry (talk) 05:16, 17 February 2025 (UTC)
- Why not? We have pages for every official video game as stated in WP:N, including Star Wars Chess and Monopoly Star Wars (video game); as a comprehensive Star Wars encyclopedia, I think such pages for board games are also notable. ThrawnChiss7

- Lmao I wasn't aware we had the latter; yeah, if we have explicitly allow an article for the latter we should absolutely also have one for the physical version. Imperators II(Talk) 15:32, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
- I mean IMO if we're claiming to be the most comprehensive Star Wars encyclopedia we should fully cover stuff like merch as well but that's neither here nor there... - Thannus (DFaceG) (he/him) (talk) 16:55, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
