Star Wars: The Official Chess Collection

Star Wars: The Official Chess Collection was a magazine published by De Agostini in France, Spain and Germany. The first issue was published on January 2, 2012, the second on January 18, and further issues where published biweekly. The magazine ran for 64 issues and included a chess piece of a Star Wars character, alternating between the original and prequel trilogies for each issue, for a total of two complete 32-piece chess sets. The magazine included with each shipment was entitled Star Wars: Art Treasures, and included art by Ralph McQuarrie and behind-the-scenes information on the making of the films.
