Re:
Hi, I apologize for the delayed reply, and for the perhaps scattered way the reply might be ordered as small details get tucked in to address various parts. Due to ongoing offsite factors, I'm regrettably unable to articulate much of what I'd like to say onsite. But if you'd ever like to converse elsewhere sometime to fully clear the air in a form, I'm open to that as it might benefit us both going forward, either with or without a mutual friend chilling as a intermediary. I'm aware we never really talked, but everyone likes to say communication never hurts.
Despite the copy of Jayce and I's shared statement no longer being present on Wook, I'd like to briefly reassure that I do acknowledge the situation could've been handled differently in many aspects, including the ones mentioned. It was a really confusing time period, but nonetheless one learned from, and I (alongside the rest of the team) do resolve to see nothing like it need to happen again. I look forward to continuing to support marginalized communities on Wook as best as can be done as we continue to enter a much brighter era, and am grateful others—like yourself—often have the same goal in mind: the betterment of the site.
I'm not able to comment on the bans issued as I wasn't the issuing or consulted administrator(s) for either the first ones or the second round (just, for the record). I offer you an apology for any sharp comments I might've made as well. I believe admins best serve a community when able to be held accountable for their actions and that it's important to speak up when you disagree. In that regard, there's no need to apologize. But, I do appreciate your apology for the offsite issues—thank you—and it means quite a great deal to me, though I'm unable to elaborate here. Lastly: that'd be nice, I think, but I'll leave that up to you in the end. Out of respect, I've steered clear of you generally, save for SAs, just because I'm not looking for trouble and want to mostly continue paperworking away in peace. But WP:RESISTANCE certainly would get much done with us all working as colleagues I imagine. Kind regards, —spookywillowwtalk 02:10, 28 November 2023 (UTC)

Redlinks
Hey! Thanks for the message you left me about redlinks and inuse. I come from a smaller wiki (485 pages), and we Aren't supposed to use Redlinks there. I have about 3300 edits on that wiki, and so I'm accustomed to their rules and guides. Thanks for the info on the future! —Unsigned comment by AceTheAnonymous (talk • contribs)

Hey Thannus, thanks for the message! Just to note that it's 2 weeks from your last message on the nom page (from the 6th), but I have been looking into it. Lewisr (talk) 18:59, 14 March 2024 (UTC)
Re: Rise and Fall
Hey, thanks for pointing out that I can toggle redirect links as orange; I genuinely did not know that. Aside from that, I tried to pay attention so I wouldn't make any redirecting links, but some of them must have slipped my attention. I actually planned on fixing some of them (like Palpatine/Sidious' link) but you already beat me to it. On a side note, Bionicle FTW! Glad someone finally commented on my PFP! Revert
Your revert on the Eurus page of my edit was completely uncalled for and unnecessary. There was absolutely no need to revert it. The link in this case does not need to be capitalized to effectively link to the other page and it was never stated Eurus was non-binary and went by they/them. The evidence you are referring to IS the fan-edit on Bonjiorno's website. Just beccause those other appearances appear in Bongiorno's fan-edit hosted on his website does not mean that those appeared in the original manuscript submitted to Lucasfilm. https://web.archive.org/web/20191230071348/http://www.starwarstimeline.net/The%20Heart%20of%20the%20Jedi.htm provides all the evidence required. By his own admission Bongiorno removed Gathol so that is the only appearance we can be certain of. There is zero proof that the other appearances were ever in the original manuscript however likely. 188.214.122.250 03:21, 17 February 2025 (UTC)
- It's hardly extensive. We have no idea precisely what he has edited, changed or removed. Only that he openly admits to removing Gathol. He has also since removed the scanned manuscript of Lightsider which exhibited differences to the now-typed "manuscript" hosted there. Combined with the entire Supernatural Encounters fiasco, he has demonstrated to be an entirely unreliable source. 188.214.122.250 03:31, 17 February 2025 (UTC)
- Please stop edit waring! Those appearances are not valid. 188.214.122.250 03:34, 17 February 2025 (UTC)

- Hi! Thank you for your concern regarding edit warring, I will concede that I had surpassed 3RR (one edit over, mind), though I had no intentions of taking it further as I consulted administration, who have at this point locked the article from being edited by anonymous users. As for what he changed or removed, he very much does indeed clarify much more of his personal revisions to Heart of the Jedi beyond just the name of Gathol, and further states the majority of the source's content was otherwise unchanged. His unreliability regarding another source does not preclude completely ignoring information he provided regarding another, completely unrelated source. I would highly recommend that in the future you take discussions like this to an article's talk page to open it up to a larger forum of people, rather than an individual editor such as myself who is well within their rights to disagree with your changes entirely. There is an argument to be made about whether or not cancelled sources qualify for Appearances sections, but claiming that the subjects you removed from the Appearances section were entirely fanon to the work was baseless, especially considered the actual text of his notes following his publication of the novel. It is incredibly important that you carry out your due diligence in providing sufficient evidence for something when removing such substantial content from an article, otherwise other editors are very much within their means to revert such changes if they believe your reasoning to be insufficient. Thanks, and your contributions to Wookieepedia are much appreciated. - Thannus (DFaceG) (he/him) (talk) 03:42, 17 February 2025 (UTC)
Harch
Thank you for working to improve Wookieepedia.
Regarding this edit, based on what i've seen, precedent is for =Behind the scenes= sections of pages about Canon subjects to mention if and when the subject first appeared in Legends before becoming part of Disney's continuity. (Thrawn and Boba Fett come to mind as extreme examples.) The phrasing you restored reads to me as though the Harch species, and in fact the whole Star Wars: The Clone Wars series, did not exist as part of Star Wars fiction until Disney acquired Lucasfilm.
What if we just say Harches first appeared in "Cat and Mouse," the sixteenth episode of the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars' second season and remove any mention of canon or Legends? That way we avoid what you consider an unnecessary mention of Legends, and avoid what i consider a misleading emphasis on canon.
Wishing you safe, happy, productive editing, and may the Force be with you.

- You would be correct. Per status article precedent (see Dud Bolt as an example), if an article subject's debut is the same source in both continuities, then neither would be mentioned in that particular context. However, if a subject first appeared/was mentioned in an earlier source than the shared source in either continuity, then you would mention the first appearance/mention in both continuities as that's important to the character's BTS history. That doesn't appear to be the case for Harches in particular, however. - Thannus (DFaceG) (he/him) (talk) 23:47, 20 February 2025 (UTC)
Voorpee and Continuity
Personally, due to the non-canon nature of the Jedi Academy books, I would consider it a gray area. While it is true that the later books of the series incorporated canon elements, the original books were written during the Legends era and definitely incorporated material that strictly came from Legends stories. If I'm not mistaken, though Jedi Academy: The Phantom Bully was released after the "great reset" to Star Wars Legends so to speak, we still considered it Legends at the time because it did not incorporate any canon material. My personal suggestion would be to count A New Class as the starting point and not incorporate any material from then onwards into a Legends article.
P.S.: I realize that makes a limited amount of sense, given that the later books both contain and reference characters and situations from the earlier installments. Non-canon, right? Bizarre. ProfessorTofty (talk) 10:32, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
