Re: Backup links
Good day to you! Yes, I'm perfectly aware that I should provide a backup link, but I'm having trouble creating one. Indeed, the book page I'm using as a reference is hosted on Internet Archive, but the Wayback Machine cannot save Internet Archive URLs. I also tried archive.today, but it cannot archive the specific page, just the preview as a whole. I suppose that will have to do? --Lelal Mekha

- I honestly thought it would be easy to find a valid online reference to the character of Miss Prissy, but surprisingly, it's not. Almost everything you find comes from fan sites or wikis... Therefore, I had to resort to the same source the Wikipedia article uses. But now you've shown me what's been done with the (strange) case of (Dr) J'Quille, I think I'd rather write a good old fashioned reference. Fortunately, this book has an ISBN number, so I'll include it. (As for the screenshots of social media posts, good riddance! It was a bore to add those. ^^) --Lelal Mekha

Re: Strand-Cast vs strandcast
Hello there! Regarding the Strand-Cast article, I think we should rename it "strandcast" and make "Strand-Cast" the redirect. After all, two sources use "strandcast" (the TROS novel and the very recent The Star Wars Book) versus one for the other option; also, the spelling without capitals seems more "normal." What do you think? --Lelal Mekha

I can understand why on other articles Clear can make undesirable blank spaces, but on this article in particular, the effect is very minimal, and you would hardly know it's there, and it helps keep everything in line. Re: Costume info
Thanks for letting me know. I feel like that information is better suited for the Rebel Marine and Rebel Honor Guard entries, instead of individual character articles. Take note that
From World War to Star Wars: Imperial Officers on StarWars.com (backup link) is only used as a behind the scenes discussion for Imperial military uniforms/Legends, but none of the individual Imperial officer entries have that note. I feel that the Imperial officer's uniform entry definitely should have that info though. For Piett, it would be different because Kenneth Colley specifically talked about the casting decision surrounding his role in the films, and the Legends article should definitely have that info alongside the canon version, the latter of which already does. However as a further example I don't think the info would belong in the Ozzel article, unless Michael Sheard also publicly talked about any of the decision making surrounding the Nazi parallels. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 16:29, 8 November 2020 (UTC)
- That is understandable. I guess it only applies to individual characters if their costume is unique. UberSoldat93

Sector Maldo Kreis
It has been confirmed within the show which sector it's in. Look on the talk page I explain it in full there. It was said Kol Iben was in the same Sector as Tatooine (Arkanis) and is trailing only one other system which seen on Din's map in Chapter 10 to be the system with Maldo Kreis. Therefor its in the same sector. Also one other thing to note, other pages from the Chapter 10 of the Mandalorian such as the one of Trapper Wolf acknowledge the fact he and his partner were on patrol specifically in the Arkanis sector and is cited with Sedaris' quote as evidence.Falcon9DarkJedi (talk) 09:24, 10 November 2020 (UTC)
- If you watch the scene in Hangar 3-5 again, you'll notice that Peli says that the Kol Iben system was "one sector over." This also means that Maldo Kreis is either located in the Arkanis sector, or the sector Kol Iben is in. We won't know for sure until another source confirms it. UberSoldat93
(talk) 09:31, 10 November 2020 (UTC)
- Right before Peli says "one sector over" she says Kol Iben is in the same sector as Tatooine trailing one other system. If you look on Din's map you see that system its trails is the one Maldo Kreis is in. Also if you look at Din's space map on the Razorcrest it shows that Din uses a different sector system than the one that is generally accepted and shows him hopping between two sectors. This is why Peli says one Sector over, because his ship uses an older map of Sectors. But the Arkanis sector is not from the same Sector System the Razorcrest uses due to Arkanis having a different geometry than the one on the map that Tatooine is located in. So in a canon sense, yes it is part of Arkanis. Falcon9DarkJedi (talk) 14:52, 10 November 2020 (UTC)
- This is assuming that the Crest uses an old and different system and that the geometry is different for in-universe reasons. Do you think that putting this explanation in an article proper and creating an excessively detailed note is a good idea? UberSoldat93
(talk) 14:57, 10 November 2020 (UTC)
- At the very least a note should be made explaining the Razorcrest uses a different system of sectors than what's generally accepted. I am pretty sure its an older system since time and time again it has been reiterated that the Crest was pre-Empire. Most of the geographical terms we know about the SW Galaxy come from imperial terminology after all. And it's not uncommon for a planet to be stated to be in two sectors. For example, Lothal is part of the Dominus Sector in terms of the commonly accepted Sector system due to being in U-7 on the grid. But it has been repeatedly referred to being in the "Lothal Sector" in Star Wars Rebels. This may seem contradictory or more likely it is a different system of terminology. For example, separating a state between counties vs separating a state between Metropolitan areas or by separating by districts. So my best inference is that Maldo Kreis is one sector over from Tatooine using pre-imperial geography and in the same sector when referring to common terminology.Falcon9DarkJedi (talk) 15:41, 10 November 2020 (UTC)

Question about Dodson Makraven
Hi Shayanomer, I have looked in The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia and Dodson Makraven isn't included in his own individual entry, nor the entry for Civé Rashon or Obsidian Squadron, which makes me question whether in canon he can even be proven to have been part of the Bespin takeover/Falcon pursuit. I do wonder if his CCG card image as seen here is definite proof that he is on Bespin, as it doesn't seem to be obviously Bespin on that image at all. As for the second source, it appears to be the same card as the canon article, picture here for reference. Would you say the second image can't be definitely proven to be Cloud City, as opposed to possibly some other location with similar architecture? If so, both versions of the article need to be changed. Thanks for your time. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 03:16, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
- Hi. Occam's Razor says the second image is Cloud City without a doubt. We've never seen a similar structure before to my knowledge, so we can safely make that assumption. UberSoldat93
(talk) 05:02, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
- I would say then that it can only be proven that Dodson flew through Cloud City at some point, without it being confirmed he was part of the Falcon pursuit. Thanks for looking into it, and I never knew the term Occam's Razor before now lol. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 15:57, 4 December 2020 (UTC)

Errol Shaker Article
Sorry to disturb you, but as i said in the article, there was an actor named Errol Shaker who was meant to appear in Return Of the Jedi. I did not get that source from ImdB, i became aware of this after i read an article on the website CodeSwitch, titled "Tracking Down The First Asian Pilot In Star Wars". Although the article itself was primarily focused on the man who portrayed the pilot Telsij, Leland Chee did ask J.W.Rinzler to send him call sheets, and there was an Errol Shaker name mentioned. Furthermore, a Star Wars fan of Facebook managed to get an autograph from Shaker himself, and he also shared a picture of a man very similar to Shaker in a Y-Wing pilot's flight suit in an old photo. So i think that most of the sources i included in the article are fine. Dat1899 (talk) 20:11, 14 December 2020 (UTC)

Dorovio Bold photo
Is not using that photo of Dorovio Bold taking the Canon/Legends thing to an extreme? The image's original source is Legends, but obviously it's the same photo of the same character and actress, just slightly cropped. Plus the newer source has a much smaller image that may be too small to work well in the article. Maybe I'm wrong and there's an absolute rule here, but I don't see the harm. --JMM (talk) 20:31, 14 December 2020 (UTC)

Which Page?
Hi Shayanomer! I'm certainly a noob at Wiki editing and could use some help in correcting a mistake. Yesterday you posted on my Talk Page a message titled "Backup links" with what looked like a template message that stated "Thank you for contributing to Wookieepedia! Please note that at least one of your recent additions added unverified information to a mainspace article. Additions to Wookieepedia's articles must be verifiable by a reliable source per our sourcing policy, and unverified information may be reverted or deleted. Continuing to add unverified information may lead to you being blocked from editing by an administrator. Thank you." I'd be happy to fix this, but I made small edits to several different pages yesterday and not sure exactly which page I made the mistake on. Want to make sure I get this fixed so I don't get banned from editing. Thanks! Random00021 (talk) 21:28, 5 January 2021 (UTC)

EE-3 Blaster Carbine
This is completely superficial but I noticed that you added the EE-3 Blaster Carbine to the appearances of The Mandalorian Chapter 15: The Believer a few days ago, after being adamant for a month that it was a completely different blaster. I was just wondering why you've added it now, did it say it somewhere on starwars.com or something? JJB34 (talk) 00:52, 11 January 2021 (UTC)

RE:Inuse
What page are you referring to? There's a bunch of them. I believe you said something along the lines of the canon Council members not being on the Post-Ruusan Jedi High Council members cat., if I'm not mistaken, but there are canon Jedi Knights on the Post-Ruusan Jedi Knights cat. Maybe instead of moving them to the Jedi Knights cat., a category page could be created for the Jedi Knights of the Jedi Order. Andrewh7 (talk) 06:33, 12 January 2021 (UTC) Andrewh7

Removing content
I removed that text because it excessively bloats the page. And since Daniels pretty much always plays the character, that information is best presented under Daniels' filmmography section. Sometimes less is more! :) Adamwankenobi (talk) 20:07, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
- If an actor has a lot of credits, there's nothing we can do about it. It has to be presented in the infobox per precedent in status articles. Another issue is that your edit removed entries from the Bibliography when it's supposed to list all works in which the actor is credited. UberSoldat93

- At the time, the policy was supported by the community. The material to be considered canon included the Galactic Ambitions set that includes Kyle Katarn, thus allowing the character to receive a page for that continuity. Since then, we have noticed that there were a bunch of Legends topics that were canonized by this set, and so marking Galactic Ambitions as a canon set is not suitable. A change to the policy is being discussed, please be patient. UberSoldat93

I wanted to apologize for adding in headers for the episode appearances on a few pages. I have seen that on a few pages and assumed that was standard practice. Phase 3 Armor and It's Weirdness
Hello Shay, I was hoping you'd be able to lend your expertise with my article, Phase 3 Armor. An issue I've found is that there is no official information on it, and everything about it is an observation of what is seen, with it being from one game. I'm not sure if it would qualify for the Wiki, so your expertise would be very helpful in this, and if it ends up not being worthwhile Wookiepedia material, I will remove it. A slight issue is I have more examples of pictures, yet due to Fandom's rules it seems I'm not allowed to upload them, making things slightly more difficult, but that's a sidenote. Any help or insight you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Galaxies template
Lately, I've mostly been following HK 47's example on how to source various SWG articles. I think something similar to the TOR template you referenced would be helpful for sure. As for how exactly to structure all the different sources, that may be tricky to figure out exactly the best way. There's probably many ways to go about it. I think for sure it would be good to have a SWG source specific for mission terminal quests, as well as things like Points of Interests, quest names, item descriptions, etc. It might be good to start with a few important ones, and we could build up the SWG source templates to include more things as necessary. - Thanks for the response. The problem is that I don't own the game in any form, which is why I approached you and Starsider initially. What was the issue with my edits to the page? —Unsigned comment by DerUtergang (talk • contribs)
- The cited source lists Malastare Narrows as a point of interest on Malastare, therefore your changes are inaccurate. UberSoldat93

- I checked the source and Malastare Narrows is considered a point of interest relative to Malastare, but it does not state that they are on the planet. It would be no different with an asteroid field being a point of interest. This is borne out by the fact that the Battle of Malastare Narrows was fought in space. My second edit rectified the incorrect usage of the name as a singular to the correct plural.
- It's not pluralized. And another source in fact states that it's a location on Malastare. As the nominator of the page, I would not have kept it like this. Erebus Chronus (Talk) 15:17, 5 January 2022 (UTC)
My Edit on the Daimyo Page
Hello there!
You recently sent me a message cautioning me that my edit to the "Daimyo" page contained "unverified information". I resepctfully disagree; I'm merely stating historical fact and how that fact has influenced the show's creators into calling Boba Fett a Daimyo. I have also linked it to a reputable source: Wikipedia, a site often used by Wookieepedians when editing/linking or updating words/articles on the Wook.
Apologies if I'm wrong (or if this was just a simple automated message), but I do not see that I've done anything improper in adding some "behind-the-scenes" info to a page marked as a "stub". Please tell me if that's not the case.
Thank you, Aragorn :) —Unsigned comment by Aragorn Skywalker Of House Stark (talk • contribs)
- Hi, Wikipedia is in fact NOT a reliable source of information as, like this site, its content can be freely modified and changed by anyone. The sourcing policy linked in the message sent to you specifically says that wikis cannot be used to cite information. The information you have added to the Daimyo page currently has no reference attached to it, in fact. UberSoldat93

Mando S2 Novel
Thanks! Pretty certain I'm done with the list now, but I have not yet finished adding the appearance to the individual pages. If I'm allowed, I'll remove the novel from the source checking list myself as soon as I'm done. --KingWookiee (talk) 20:19, 23 January 2022 (UTC)

1.9 Layout Guide compliance
Hi, can you explain me the reason of this reversion? Thanks, Hk 47 (talk) 12:09, 12 March 2022 (UTC)
- Hello, it's under this section, which reads "The "owners" field of Armor, Device, and Weapon shall only be used for unique items." UberSoldat93
