Re Question about a recent edit on "Cara Dune"
This wiki uses past tense for articles because it says "a long time ago in a galaxy far far away". - Red Duel 04:28, November 30, 2019 (UTC)
Referencing websites
Hi and welcome to Wookieepedia! Please employ {{cite_web}} when citing websites. The template might seem a bit complex at first, so I've fixed this reference for you. Feel free to ask if you have any questions about using the template. Cheers, 1358 (Talk) 23:09, December 1, 2019 (UTC)
Mando's blade
Hi there, it would be a vibro-knife because the blade is the size of a knife. A vibroblade would be larger, something like what the BX-series droid commandos wield. Kind regards Darth Tomotron (talk) 03:24, December 2, 2019 (UTC)
Tense
Thanks for contributing to Wookieepedia! Please be advised that all articles on in-universe topics are written in past tense. Please see the Manual of Style if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks!--Lewisr (talk) 17:31, December 7, 2019 (UTC)
Edit warring
"The Mandalorian, also known as Mando for short, is an alias..."
This is not correct grammar. An alias cannot have an alias. Stop undoing my edit without even so much as an edit summary. --Potsk (talk) 01:42, December 16, 2019 (UTC)
Read and respond to your talk page. Otherwise this will keep going on until an admin blocks us both. --Potsk (talk) 03:40, December 16, 2019 (UTC)
Introductory sentence
I think that you have a point by saying it isn't correct grammar to say: ""The Mandalorian, also known as Mando for short, is an alias..." but the change you proposed makes the introductory sentence clunky and doesn't roll as smoothly as the original does. Christhewalrus (talk) 03:52, December 16, 2019 (UTC)
Hello there
Din Djarin
Hi there. Just to clear up the situation involving Din Djarin's skin tone, Pedro Pascal is of Chilean descent and his skin tone is dark enough to be considered "tan." He and Djarin are much closer in complexion to characters such as Poe Dameron and Bail Organa as opposed to Luke Skywalker and Armitage Hux, who are listed as "light." Thanks. RattsT (talk) 23:33, June 1, 2020 (UTC)
Rey's lightsaber
Yeah "this" puts a present tense to it and this wiki uses past tense on articles. - Red Duel 00:19, June 27, 2020 (UTC)
- Okay, I didn't think about that, I'll try to keep that in mind for the future, thanks :) Christhewalrus (talk) 00:34, June 27, 2020 (UTC)
Clear
Hello! I believe that by default the view is set as oasis so anyone who hasn't specifically changed will see it that way. Its not a huge issue but I feel there's a better alternative than leaving a large section of whitespace which there now is, once the page is expanded a bit more I'm sure it won't be so worrying --Lewisr (talk) 02:28, July 8, 2020 (UTC)
- Again, please stop using this template in unnecessary places. The chunks of white space you're adding aren't helping these pages; instead you're just creating empty eye sores. RattsT (talk) 03:15, 31 October 2020 (UTC)
Maintenance templates
Hi there. When adding maintenance templates to articles as you did here and here, it's beneficial to actually state which sections you're referring to, ideally on the articles' talk pages or at least in your edit summaries. This way other users will know where the issues lie, and the problems may be resolved. Thank you. RattsT (talk) 19:42, August 22, 2020 (UTC)

Please do not remove messages from talk pages or other discussion pages. All messages are part of the public record and must remain visible. Thanks! DarthRuiz30 (talk) 03:35, 31 October 2020 (UTC)
Blocked
You have been blocked from editing for 1 day for breaking the Three-revert rule. Do not engage in edit wars, if there's any problems leave the user a message. Clear
Once again, please stop adding the Clear template to articles. Its completely unnecessary and your edits just will continue to be reverted.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 06:43, 1 November 2020 (UTC)
- Once more, please stop adding this. —Tomotron

Images
Hi, we have a policy of having images from left to right and you continue to modify the alignment in both Jango Fett and Pyke Syndicate. When multiple users are reverting and telling you to stop is better to communicate with them rather than to engage in an edit war. I don't see any issues with the previous alignment, there's zero issues. Please reconsider your approach to editing and when multiple people are disagreeing with you communicate with them first before continuing to an edit war.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 06:02, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
- I got told it's ok to move the pictures, so I tried that because I tried using Clear, whic his perfectly fine anyways because it wasn't even making any huge spaces, but anytime I do that, it's a problem.
- Stop doing redoing your edits once again, you're violating the three revert rule which will get you blocked. The images are fine, there's no need to move them/resize them or add a huge amount of blank space to the article.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 06:12, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
- There isn't a "huge amount of blank space," it's a little bit, which isn't a big deal because then the header doesn't have to get shoved over. Christhewalrus (talk) 06:14, 2 November 2020 (UTC)

Edits
Because your edits keep generating unnecessary blank space. The articles look okay, there's minor issues with the formatting that can be fixed by expanding articles or resizing some images.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 07:11, 3 November 2020 (UTC)
Image placement warning
Headers are allowed to be pushed over due to a left-aligned image. There is nothing wrong with that. There is no policy against it, and it cannot always be avoided. So just stop. You'd had numerous more experienced Wookieepedians - including Admins - advise you to stop what you are doing. So just STOP. - JMAS
Hey, it's me! 07:13, 3 November 2020 (UTC)
- Stop removing images, or resizing thumbnails because they happen to push a heading over. It is not against policy. You have been told to stop by several users and admins. You have been blocked more than once for ignoring this. - JMAS

Edits
Hey Chris, just want to inform you that a lot of us on the Discord server and on the wiki are getting pretty exasperated with having to revert your edits. You haven't taken the advice of an administrator, DarthRuiz30, and quite a few users with edits numbering in the tens of thousands. This is an unofficial warning, but an official one is coming. Could be from me, we'll see how things progress. But one thing, please don't change the image placement. If an admin and 2 users have asked you to stop, please do. You've already been blocked for a day, don't make it a week. We just want everyone to be happy, and following the policies of the wiki. Have a great day, SCVSlalom (Contributions | The Slalom Wall | Blogs |Watchlist) 20:49, 4 November 2020 (UTC)

Clear
As the use of the {{Clear}} template in the content namespace was banned at the most recent Mofference, attempting to mimic its functionality with HTML will also not be tolerated. Any further attempts to place any variation of div style="clear" in articles may result in a block. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 23:27, 14 November 2020 (UTC)

Beskar staff
Hey there, in the episode itself its called a spear, its just waiting on a move so the page can the page can be moved to "Beskar staff." Unless another source comes out and calls it a spear, we should leave it at staff, thanks --Lewisr (talk) 15:24, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
- Oh ok, I misinterpreted that. I thought you added the delete template because you agreed with the move. Re-reading that I see what you meant now. Should we then just copy the "Beskar spear" article over to the "Beskar staff" article and add the Delete template on the "Beskar spear" article? Christhewalrus (talk) 15:35, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
- No worries its all good! Best to leave it so an admin can delete the page so its moved there, and then we can go from there--Lewisr (talk) 15:43, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
- Ok, sounds good. 👍 Christhewalrus (talk) 15:46, 29 November 2020 (UTC)

Stop removing content
Please do not remove content from Wookieepedia. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. You have been warned about this. You have been blocked multiple times for this. Stop. - JMAS
Hey, it's me! 02:15, 15 December 2020 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to remove content from pages, an administrator will block you from editing Wookieepedia. You have been told by multiple, more experienced Wookieepedians, including an administrator, that there is nothing wrong with an image pushing a header over. Just because you don't happen to like it, doesn't give you the right to continually remove content from pages. - JMAS
Hey, it's me! 02:15, 2 January 2021 (UTC)
- "Stop removing content" isn't a valid argument. It's a three-line paragraph and extremely short. It really doesn't need its own picture especially when it is pushing the next header over. Saying I'm "removing content because I don't like it" is completely reductive. I could just as easily say you're only adding it because you like it. The "paragraph" is barley even long enough to pass as one. So why does it need an image all of its own? You keep acting like you're some authority figure. You also put words in my mouth. I never said anything about the picture or that I "didn't like it," i said it isn't needed because the paragraph it belongs to is literally only three lines long. Christhewalrus (talk) 02:29, 2 January 2021 (UTC)
Cara Dune removal
Hi Chris. While the information you're removing from Carasynthia Dune isn't the most well written, outright deletion doesn't help anyone. If you're bothered by the quality of writing, you can always improve it yourself. In the meantime, there's no harm in leaving it as is. RattsT (talk) 00:31, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
- That stuff ins't needed. It's unnecessarily inserted into the middle of the sentence and makes it less readable. The sentence is better off being kept short and concise. There is no good reason to just add all those details into that sentence when it doesn't need to be there. If someone wanted to read all that, they can just click the link and read the other article. An intro sentence to a paragraph doesn't need to be bogged down so so much extraneous info. The "harm" in leaving it how it is is that it decreases the readability of the article and makes a borderline run-on sentence. Christhewalrus (talk) 03:00, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
Maul's double-bladed lightsaber
It is not against any policy for an image to push a heading over. Period. There is no room for discussion here and you have been told directly by an admin that there is nothing wrong with it. It is however part of the layout guide that images should be placed to balance the article body. Regarding the Maul's double-bladed lightsaber page, there is nothing wrong with having the image in the Skirmish over Raydonia section, even if it is short and the image does push the next heading over. There are several short sections between the previous image and the next image that leave an non-aesthetically pleasing imageless gap if the image is not there. So I'm sorry if you don't happen to personally like it. Stop removing the image and expand the section if you are so bothered by it. - JMAS

Ahsoka
Personally I thought it was pretty clear from the episode itself, but fair enough. Just waiting on a response on whether the episode's audio description says she was using it --Lewisr (talk) 00:41, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
- The description says 'A POV moves swiftly on an unsuspecting guard' --Lewisr (talk) 00:46, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
- That describes the camera shot, but I don't think we can defintlvey say she was using a Force dash based on that alone. Christhewalrus (talk) 02:01, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
- I guess it comes down to how our own opinions, I still think she was even if there was nothing that outright says it --Lewisr (talk) 02:11, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
- I mean, "swiftly" is just an adjective. I don't think we should take that as evidence to say she was using a Force dash, it feels speculative to me. Christhewalrus (talk) 02:29, 19 February 2021 (UTC)

Participles
Hi. In relation to your edit https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Fennec_Shand?oldid=11112518, you don't need to change things like present participles to "past tense" since participles work in relation to the tense of the main verb. So a present participle working with a past tense main verb (as in that example) is still acting in past time. Thanks. Loqiical (talk) 23:29, 27 November 2021 (UTC)
- I didn't know that, thanks for letting me know Christhewalrus (talk) 19:17, 28 November 2021 (UTC)
