Dameron family

The Dameron family was a family of humans that served prominently in the military of the Alliance to Restore the Republic, New Republic and the Resistance.

History

Around 4 BBY,^[4] Kes Dameron traveled to Galator III before the wedding of a friend, they decided to put their money together and go to the betting houses. Kes bet one of his last few credits on a race, picking the driver called Shara Bey because he liked her name, after winning the bet, Kes went to thank Shara and bought her a drink.^[5]

The two eventually fell in love, got married^[1] and in 2 ABY,^[6] had a son whom they named Poe. Poe rarely saw his parents as they started to serve the Alliance to Restore the Republic in the fight against the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War.^[2]
