The Mofference Campaign

Mofferences were meetings that took place off-site (In the official IRC channel) as "real-time Consensus tracks." I wasn't present for this era of the Wook but from the stories I've heard, Mofferences were problematic. Time restraints meant people were excluded and the fast-paced nature meant discussions weren't really encouraged. I'm leading a campaign of Senate Halls to dissect individual Mofferences, in order to determine if the community agrees with the outcome still.

I want to be clear: Mofference outcomes are not inherently bad. I just think policies like these should go through the Senate Hall/Consensus track process. While I personally would like a series of CTs to "cement" each policy, that's entirely unreasonable. The goal of these Senate Halls is to encourage community discussion. If any issues are found through those discussions, the next step would be to begin a Consensus Track to change that specific issue.

The current Sentate Hall is concerning Wookieepedia:Mofferences/February 27, 2021Transcript. You can view previous Senate Halls in the campaign here.

Comic policy cleanup

Vote 3: The death of abbreviations

Currently we disambiguate comic collection either by (TPB) or (HC). While these are valid abbreviations, they are not the most formal version of these words. So this vote is to change the third bullet point under Wookieepedia:Naming policy#Disambiguation 3 from:

*To disambiguate comic-book collected editions, use "(TPB)" for trade paperbacks and "(HC)" for hardcovers.

to

*To disambiguate trade paperbacks, use "(trade paperback)" (example: Star Wars Adventures: Return to Vader's Castle (trade paperback))
*To disambiguate hardcovers, use "(hardcover)" (example: Star Wars: Shattered Empire (hardcover))
