Plot summary
Introduction
The episode begins with Sig Greebling reading the opening crawl before deciding to read his own introduction. He talks about accidentally using the Cornerstone to "mash up the galaxy." He explains that good guys became bad guys, and that bad guys became good guys. Darth Rey vows to get him while Jedi Vader praises him for his abundance of faith. Sig says that some people got weird as Luke Skywalker appears on a surfboard. Sig explains that even the starships and planets are different. Sig says that he wanted to go home initially but made some amazing new friends including Yesi Scala and "Jedi Bob". Servo also appears in the crawl. Sig laments that his brother has become an evil Sith. He wonders what Dev is up to now.
On a forested planet, Dev searches through a grove for something. He encounters three Daysisters led by Asajj Ventress, who ask why he is treading through their sacred grove. Dev explains that this place has appeared in several of his dreams and believes that there is power in the grove that will help him reclaim his galaxy. Ventress warns the Sith Lord to leave or they will unleash their strength on him. Dev is not intimidated and refuses to leave. Three rancors emerge from the first and the three Daysisters mount them. Before they attack Dev, they "welcome" him to Dathomir.
A Force building lesson
Meanwhile, Sig awakes in his bunk, having experienced a dream with Dev. He is greeted by Servo, who uses an alarm to encourage him to wake up. Getting into his Jedi training routine, Sig carries Servo through a temple on Alistan Nor. When Sig asks why he has to carry Servo, Jedi Bob says it is funny and tells Sig to address him as Master Afol.
For his first lesson, Master Afol tasks him with ringing the bell on a high tower. Using his Force Building powers, Sig creates an E-wing starfighter and flies towards the tower. Afol uses his Force Building powers to reconstruct the tower as a smaller structure. Heading to the ground, Sig transforms his starfighter into an AT-TE walker. However, Afol transforms the bell structure into a Sith infiltrator. Sig transforms his walker into a TIE Defender and pursues the Bell infiltrator. He jumps out of the cockpit with Servo and touches the bell with his lightsaber, causing it to shatter. The two the. Descend back to the Alistan Nor temple in a Delta-7 Aethersprite-class light interceptor.
On the ground, Sig thanks Master Afol for being a great teacher and suggests that they train other Force Builders in the city of Alistan Nor. Afol declines the offer, saying that one student is more than enough for him. Afol admits that he did not want to be a teacher and adds that even the best teachers make horrible mistakes. When Afol asks why he suggests other students, Sig tells him that he experienced a dream of his brother Dev seeking something powerful on Dathomir. Afol is dismissive of the dream, saying that he experienced a nightmare with a krayt dragon.
Sig explains that he sensed that Dev was in danger and believed that only he can save him. The last time they met, Sig says he was close to getting Dev to embrace the Light side of the Force but failed. He believes that Afol will be a good teacher for Dev who can help him get back to the light side. Afol believes that Dev cannot be redeemed because he is too far gone. Sig mouths an agreement.
Dinner with Yesi
Shortly later, Yesi Scala returns in the Dark Falcon. Sig shouts in excitement at the return of his girlfriend. When Sig asks about his hair, Afol remarks that it is very much the same. Servo tells Scala that he has been exploring every emotion ever since Sig resurrected him. Afol quips that Servo has not been annoying at all. When Sig asks why she is visiting Alistan Nor, Scala grumbles that the Rebel Alliance has been sending her on "boring" supply runs. She decided to visit since she was in the sector and asks about dinner. Servo is delighted to spend dinner with her. Unknown to them, the group are being watched by a figure in silver Mandalorian amor.
Later that night, the group sit around a campfire. Servo pretends to snore, with Sig explaining that he programmed the droid to snore. Afol quips about becoming one with the Force before going to meditate inside his tent. In private, Sig senses Scala is upset and asks what is wrong. Scala questions her purpose in life now that the Empire has fallen and the Sith are in hiding. Sig reassures her that she is doing good by hauling goods across the galaxy. Scala says she is a rebel and questions how she can be a rebel if there is no one to rebel against.
The bounty hunters
Scala senses movement behind. The two find themselves looking at a floating cradle carrying Din Grogu, whom the two find cute. Sig addresses the toddler as "Baby Yoda." While the two fuzz over Grogu, an exasperated Afol comes to investigate the commotion. Afol joins the two in fuzzing over the baby. The Landalorian thanks Grogu for distracting them and says he will be taking over Alistan Nor. He fires three whistling birds at the trio, which Afol deflects with the Force.
Afol warns the others that Lando is a bounty hunter. Lando throws a sub-thermal detonator, which freezes the trio in carbonite. The Landolarian says "this is the way" and tells Grogu to help him take their prisoners aboard their starship Razor Crest. Shortly later, Servo awakes from his sleep and discovers that his friends have been kidnapped. He decides to follow them in the Dark Falcon.
A new "Death Star"
Elsewhere, Dev sneaks past the rancors to reach a conclave surrounding what appears to be a shrine with several pillars. Sig sees his brother in a dream and tries to warn him. He and his friends wake up to find themselves in the presence of several Sith including Darth Nubs, Darth Jyn Erso, Darth Hammerhead, Darth Rey, Darth Rose Tico, Darth Kit Fisto and a Jawa Sith. Tico wants to torture them but Rey has other plans. Following the defeat of their former leader Darth Dev, Rey has taken over the Empire and sought a way to bring the Alliance to its knees. Darth Jyn Erso proposed the creation of a new Death Star, which she displays on a hologram. Sig realizes that they are aboard the Death Star.
Darth Fisto grumbles about naming their superweapon a "battle ball" while Tico responds with rage at not choosing the name Death Star. Rey asks Sig which planet they should destroy next with the Death Star. Sig tries to dissuade Rey. Fisto reveals that the Death Star's secondary defensive lasers are still offline, prompting an angry outburst from Tico. The Landolorian and Grogu then enter to remind the Sith to pay them for their services. However, Rey is reluctant to pay the bounty hunters and tells them to be grateful. Afol takes the opportunity to mock the Sith for not paying Lando, who agrees that "this is not the way."
Tico and the other Sith draw their lightsabers, intending to strike down Lando and Grogu. Before they can do so, Servo arrives in the Dark Falcon and blasts the Death Star, causing damage to the space station. The Sith are unable to respond since their defensive lasers are still offline. As the Ackbar troopers scatter, Lando uses a sub-thermal detonator to freeze several Sith.
Rey, Hammerhead and Nubs escape the detonator's blast. Rey fights Lando, who is armed with the Darksaber. While Nubs is distracted, Scala uses his lightsaber to free herself, Sig and Afol. Sig convinces Grogu to return their lightsabers and they flee through the Lego Death Star. Rey frees her Sith minions from carbonite and sends them in pursuit of the Force Builders and Scala. Afol duels with Rey in a corridor while Sig duels with Tico in the Emperor's throne room. After escaping several Ackbar troopers in the control room, the trio join forces with Lando and Grogu to escape the Sith.
After Servo fails to pick them up in the hangar deck, the group flee upstairs and cause the Sith to fall through a floor into the garbage compactor. Fisto is dragged underwater by the dianoga. Sig asks if they should help them but Afol is unconcerned. A grateful Landolorian invites the trio to visit them on Landolore where they can ride mythosaurs. Sig and Afol can't help liking the bounty hunter and Grogu. After locking the Sith up in a cell meant for Force-users, the trio depart with Servo on the Darth Falcon. Fisto regrets choosing the dark side of the Force while Nubs squeals angrily in Poobian.
Later in the cockpit, Afol grumbles about Sig's idea of taking the captive Sith aboard the Dark Falcon. Scala wants to contact the Rebellion to inform them about their prisoners. When Sig tells Afol that he experienced a new dream about Dev, Afol warns against attachments. Sig wants to go to Dathomir to find Dev. Scala agrees to set a course for Dathomir. Before leaving, Servo uses the Falcon a missile down the Death Star's shaft, destroying the superweapon once again.
Reunion on Dathomir
After traveling through a hyperspace wormhole, they approach the planet Dathomir. Sig says he can sense Dev through the Force and has them land the Falcon near the conclave. Afol says that this place reminds him of places of power in his galaxy. The group spot a frustrated Dev attempting to harness the power of the site. Sig convinces the others to let him talk with Dev.
Dev is not happy to see his younger brother and believes that this place will give him the strength to exact revenge on all his enemies including Sig. Sig says that he believes there is still good in his brother but Dev uses the Force to summon several rocks to create a barrier between them. Dev is angry that Sig led him to believe they could be brothers and tries to strike him down with his lightsaber. However, Afol jumps in they way and blocks Dev's attack with his green lightsaber.
Afol wants to destroy the dark sider. Enraged, Dev uses the Force to hurl several pillars at Afol, who lands unconscious on the stairs. Dev demands that Sig face him one last time. He attacks Sig with his lightsaber and Sith Breaking powers. Sig fights back with his Force Building powers. Dev scatters the rocks at the bottom of the conclave, causing a portal to open in the sky. A sinister voice exhorts them to use their powers as purple energy begins to appear.
An ancient evil
Recognizing the voice, Afol warns the two brothers to stop fighting. Before Dev and Sig can charge at each other, they are separated by a purple burst of energy. A hooded figure steps out of the portal. When Sig asks who he is, the hooded figure asks if it has been so long and tells Bobarian Afol to tell them the truth. Afol identifies the hooded figure as his fallen former Master Solitus, who betrayed the Jedi. Afol says that he banished Solitus to the Forcehold, which the fallen Master describes as a place beyond time and space.
Solitus explains that he needed two Force-sensitive brothers, one in the light and other in the dark, to free himself from the Forcehold. He explains he manipulated them by enticing Dev with promises of unlimited power and Sig with dreams about reconciling with his brother. Solitus derides the Force Builders and Sith Breakers as quarrelsome children playing an endless game. Solitus plans to end this conflict by resetting the galaxy once again.
Sig is unwilling to let the dark lord wreck the galaxy again and uses the Force to retrieve his own yellow lightsaber and to pass Dev his red lightsaber. The two brothers attempt to attack Solitus but the dark lord banishes them to the Forcehold. Servo jumps into the portal in an attempt to save the brothers before it closes.
Solitus turns his attention to Afol, who is entranced by his former master. Scala tells him to snap out of it. Before Solitus can reach them, Ventress arrives on her rancor and ferries them to safety. Solitus taunts his former pupil and announces that this galaxy's time has run out. A large spherical warship with arms exits the portal above Solitus.
