LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy - Pieces of the Past is an animated series and a sequel to LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy. It was announced at Star Wars Celebration Japan and premiered on September 19, 2025 on Disney+.^[1] A soundtrack for the series was released concurrently.^[4]

Production

Development

Rebuild the Galaxy: Pieces of the Past was written by Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit, who served as the series' showrunners as the sequel series to the 2024 animated series LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy.^[1]^[5] The series was directed by Chris Buckley.^[5]

During a Celebration Japan panel on April 19, 2025, Ahmed Best said that the second series would explore the Darth Jar Jar theory.^[1]

Casting

On April 19, 2025, Best confirmed that he would be reprising his role as "Darth Jar Jar" in Pieces of the Past. The characters Sig Greebling, Yesi Scala and Bobarian Afol were also confirmed as returning for the second season. In addition, Best confirmed that Ben Schwartz would be voicing the Lepi smuggler Jaxxon T. Tumperakki and that Ashley Eckstein would be voicing Ahsoka Tano.^[1]

On August 14, 2025, StarWars.com confirmed that Anthony Daniels would be reprising his role as C-3PO and Kelly Marie Tran as Darth Rose Tico. Other confirmed cast members included Sam Witwer as Maul, Cameron Monaghan as Cal Kestis, Nika Futterman as Asajj Ventress and James Arnold Taylor as Obi-Wan Kenobi.^[5]

Release and reception

The official trailer was released on August 14, 2025.^[6]^[5] On September 4, a second trailer featuring Revan and Obi-Wan Kenobi was released.^[7]

The series premiered on Disney+ on September 19, 2025.^[1]
