The Quelii sector[5] was a sector[6] of the Outer Rim Territories region of the galaxy. It contained the Dathomir system,[1] where a battle was fought between the Confederacy of Independent Systems and the Nightsisters during the Clone Wars.[2]
Behind the scenes
Quelii sector, albeit unidentified, appeared in "Nightsisters," the twelfth episode of the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars' third season,[7] which aired on January 7, 2011.[8] The sector was later identified in the 2015 Dorling Kindersley reference book Ultimate Star Wars, though it was misspelled as "Quelli."[6] Other sources, such as the Fantasy Flight Games sourcebook Dawn of Rebellion, had since corrected the spelling to "Quelii."[5]
In the 2024 Dorling Kindersley reference book Star Wars Encyclopedia: The Comprehensive Guide to the Star Wars Galaxy, the planet Abafar was moved to the Quelii sector[9] its previous placement in the Sprizen sector.[10] The Abafar system was also moved to the Quelii sector in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," a canon appendix published alongside the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025,[11] further supporting the change.[1] Jason Fry—an author who contributed on the appendix[11]—stated that there were no plans of changing the star system's current placement when asked.[12]
