An individual served as the dean of theological studies at Reena University on the planet Reena[1] around 396 BBY.[2] The dean believed in a contested theory that the annual Queen's Bloom Festival—celebrating the end of the torrential season and the glow of bioluminescent photoproteins on pollen—was connected to the Force. During the celebration, he escorted a group of Jedi—whose Order he was fascinated by—who he had campaigned to attend the festival in hopes they would prove the theory. While doing so, he and the Jedi were spotted by Axel Greylark, a student of Reena University.[1]

Behind the scenes

The dean of theological studies appeared in "The Queen's Bloom," a short story by Zoraida Córdova in the 2023 anthology young-adult novel The High Republic: Tales of Light and Life, released as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project.[1]

  2. The High Republic: Convergence establishes that Axel Greylark was eighteen years old thirteen years prior to its events. As Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia dates the events of Convergence to 382 BBY, he must have been born in 413 BBY. Greylark is seventeen years old in "The Queen's Bloom," dating its events to around 396 BBY.
