About Baras, do you think you can make a headshot of him without the mask in the game? It'll make good for the article.

Ralok's in-use template warning

While your zeal isappreciated, Cade, an in-use template is not a flag saying people can't edit a page while it's up. It's a notice to check the history for recent edits from the user who put up the template, in order to avoid edit conflicts. Jacobi had not edited the page for a month and it was alright for Ralok to edit the page. Don't revert edits simply because the template's up. Do the same homework they were supposed to do—Ralok probably didn't, but whatever—and peek at the history first. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo 07:45, August 30, 2012 (UTC)

CORELLIA; COLD WAR AND SECOND GREAT WAR

Great work you made about the battle of Corellia during the Second Great Galactic War but I think that the all first part, that described the imperial takeover of the planet, was instead put on the page of the invasion of Corellia during the Cold War; I didn't yet play TOR so this is only my suggestion. Victory II talk page

All of the comments left on the talk page were due to edits that needed to be made to that article to bring it up to acceptable levels of quality and accuracy. I could have simply started a new section to go over all those new edits/old issues again, but that seemed silly when there were already sections on said talk page going over those areas of the article. Honestly, if those issues that were brought up on the talk page had actually been looked at and addressed back when they were first brought up instead of languishing as a mess until now, they wouldn't be "old" discussions getting responded to. So basically, fix things when they're brought up and you won't have things being "re-opened" as discussion years later. - Slagass (talk) 01:49, September 2, 2012 (UTC)

  • I think I'm just frankly amazed that information so wildly incorrect as what was on the VSDII article could end up staying on that page for years while conversations getting opened on talk pages gets reverted within minutes. When prioritizing policies, it seems like things like not restarting conversations should be a bit less important then providing information on this encyclopedia that's actually accurate. It's unfortunate that it doesn't seem actually work that way. - Slagass (talk) 02:04, September 2, 2012 (UTC)

Ashla in TOR?

Hi, Cade! I have currently nominated the article on Ashla, the moon of Tython, for the Good article status, however, I have no access to the Star Wars: The Old Republic game, therefore I was wondering whether you could possibly help me out and tell me if there is any mention of the moon in the game, or does Ashla (or possibly both of the Tython moons) appear in the game? Hey Cade, don't know if you noticed but while you were moving Rendaran-class assault shuttle and NR2 gully jumper to different articles, you must've forgot Rendaran's talk page which still directs to NR2's talk page, so it is quite a mess right now. TOR Appearances sect

Cade, while I understand you're doing major additions in the Appearances sect, the TOR page is in constantly use by several different users and so remember to remove the "Inuse" Template right after you're done using it. Don't leave it there the entire day, otherwise you'll obviously have someone disrupting it. I for once, have some additions to make, so please don't leave that template there for almost 24h, just like you did when I removed it. Thanks in advance. • Bryn (Captain)
  • Isen (Human)
  • ELX-25

  • Vinson
    • These lists come daily and I'd prefer the next being added by myself. It would be great if you could remove the template when you go to sleep so any other user could go on with their own additions without interfering with yours. Winterz (talk) 01:04, September 12, 2012 (UTC)
      • Game mechanics? I'm not so sure about that. Look at KOTOR for instance, these two articles. But anyway it wasn't I who created those articles, though I will leave it for a few days in my lists regardless. If by then they're not considered game mechanics, I'll add them. Kallig's scorching lightsaber

Hi Cade. I just saw that you removed the picture from Kallig's scorching lightsaber. While I can understand your reasoning, in case the player receives the double-bladed saber, it's not called "Kallig's scorching saber", but "Lord Kallig's Double-Bladed Lightsaber". So it's in fact a totally different saber altogether, not just two potential appearances for the same name. I think we should create articles for both potential sabers, with a warning in the header. (And I also think we should restore the image, since individual lightsabers looking identical are not unheard of—think of AOTC sabers, for example.) Cheers. --LelalMekha (talk) 16:08, September 13, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Rhen Var

Yeah, I just moved the page so that it goes off of the way it was presented in the comic. I'll move it though. As for the Jedi, if you look closely at the image, he doesn't appear to actually be holding a lightsaber. His hand is going through the green beam of light (whatever it is) but he doesn't appear to actually be holding it. Normally I would just assume it's an artistic issue, but given that their are other non-armor clad Republic combatants in that image, he could just as easily be one of them. Plus, we're missing Kiwiiks in that image, so maybe she's hiding behind that trooper holding the green beam? I dunno, but I'm not really comfortable proclaiming that guy to be a Jedi. I might alter the info box to "At least 4," though. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 20:55, September 20, 2012 (UTC)

The Destructors

The Destructors were indeed identified with Abeloth, not Dreypa's people. The Dark Jedi/Sith Lords were, I believe, actually the Otherside. Glom Tho

Hello, I have finally found the old RPG source about the battle of Glom Tho. In fact the timeline on wikia for the second battle is completely fanon. And the Imperial Remnant is not mentioned. The battle in the RPG book is the same than the one described in the Essential Atlas and Essential Guide to Warfare. There is only one battle. This is confirmed by the fact that both the RPG and the Essential Guide to Warfare place the battle in the Hevvrol sector campaign. I have merged all the informations here. • Addendum: I did however notice that some things, in fact many things that I had added to that list were since removed. Was this a factor of edit conflict? -- Riffsyphon1024 08:31, October 17, 2012 (UTC)

Ilum

Hey Cade, regarding Ilum, both the origina "The Setting" page, as well as the Encyclopedia, indicated that the Raid on Ilum occurred during the Great War. "The Setting" was much more explicit about it, as it actually included Ilum in a list of GGW flashpoints. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 17:08, October 17, 2012 (UTC)

  • Also we need to talk about Balmorra. I see that you are splitting up the battle articles repeatedly, and this is something that I definitely would not agree with. The Occupation of Balmorra and Liberation of Balmorra are both parts of the decades-long Battle of Balmorra that began during the GGW. The TOR website and the Encyclopedia both make it clear that this battle never actually ended, it just went through different phases. At most, I would consider the articles you created to be component battles of the larger and longer Balmorra campaign, but separating them strikes me as arbitrary. Thoughts? Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 18:01, October 17, 2012 (UTC)
    • Re: Ilum; the current "the Setting" page is just the trailers. The original page, under the site's original design, listed Ilum as one of the flashpoints. I'll try to find a cached version for you. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 18:04, October 17, 2012 (UTC)
      • Here's the original Ilum dealy:
"With a massive fleet and an awe-inspiring army of fearless troops, the Sith Emperor launched a surprise assault, quickly capturing dozens of worlds in the Outer Rim, and sparking a war unlike any other in the galaxy’s history. From the frozen wastes of Ilum to the desert plains of Dathomir, violent battles killed untold millions. Despite its avowed neutrality, surface structures on the water-covered world of Manaan were completely destroyed, forcing the Selkath to retreat to their ocean underworld. Other star systems fared worse—some destroyed, others left uninhabitable. The carnage concluded with the Sith Empire sacking the Republic's capital planet of Coruscant and forcing the Republic Senate into the controversial Treaty of Coruscant."
And as for Balmorra, the Empire took control of the planet, but never fully claimed victory because the fighting continued. The Republic pulled out after the Treaty, but the native resistance continued fighting the battle. The Encyclopedia even says "the Balmorrans kept up the fight." They were later rejoined by the Republic in a new offensive, but it was all part of the same lengthy conflict. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 18:14, October 17, 2012 (UTC)
  • Hold up before you make the move; Palpatine refers to it as the "Great Galactic War" in Book of Sith. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 00:23, October 18, 2012 (UTC)
    • Luke refers to it as such in the book too. If I'm not mistaken, same goes for the mention of the war in Path of the Jedi. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 00:25, October 18, 2012 (UTC)
      • The official book description here also uses "Great Galactic War." I say we leave the article where it is for now. If it starts getting called "Great War" by novels and LFL officials on a more regular basis, we can revisit the possibility of a move. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 00:28, October 18, 2012 (UTC)

Smuggler's Vanguard

Hey Cade, one more thing. I noticed that you created the article for 3,677 BBY, and that you sourced Visz's attainment of the Crimson Fleece on that date to The Old Republic: Smuggler's Vanguard. However, I can't seem to find any dating information in the story itself. Can you point me towards it? Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 19:40, October 17, 2012 (UTC)

Warship

I think those individual dreadnoughts should stay on the list since they represent an unknown class of warship. This matches the formatting and style of the Imperial, Confederate and Republic Navy pages. --Darthscott3457 (talk) 17:23, October 18, 2012 (UTC)

  • So then at a minimum the Tear of Taris and Lindworm should be on the list, just like all of the other one of a kind ships that are listed on their respective Navy (Imperial, Republic, Confederate) pages. Do you have a screen shot of the source on the BSX-5 info? I saw it during the game long ago, but I can’t remember mention anything about it being a Harrower, other than that’s what it looked like on screen later on in the game. Just going on other wiki articles now, the Javelin looks different from a normal Harrower and it’s a prototype, so that’s worthy of a mention on the list. As for the Voidstar does it ever mention that it is a Harrower in the game? The article says it’s a unique prototype battleship that matched the strength of the Star of Coruscant. To me if it wasn't specifically mentioned then assuming that all of these ships are simply modified Harrower’s is no different from me assuming that they are all their own class of warship. Maybe as a compromise there should be unidentified class list on that page? Not trying to be difficult just wanted to make sure no ships is left behind. Thanks.--Darthscott3457 (talk) 17:23, October 19, 2012 (UTC)
    • I put the Lindworm and the Tears of Taris back up, if its okay I would like to write up a little section on the Harrower page about all of the possible variants.--Darthscott3457 (talk) 23:52, October 29, 2012 (UTC)

One more thing

You should note that on page 171, under the "Kressh Legacy" section, the Sith Emperor is referred to as "Darth Vitiate." Now, given that this is the only time I've ever seen him referred to as such, I'm not sure if it's BTS information or an alternate style of address, but I wanted to bring it to your attention. Thoughts? Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 02:07, October 19, 2012 (UTC)

Ashla & Syo Bakarn

Hey Cade! Two things:

1. Could you possibly tell me whether the moon of Ashla is mentioned or appears anywhere in the Star Wars: The Old Republic Encyclopedia (it seems to me you have access to it)?

2. Is there any proof in the Old Republic game that Syo Bakarn was present at the Alderaan peace conference (i.e., is Syo Bakarn really the same individual as Syo)? It just seems odd, considering that Bakarn's article currently says he was stationed at the Jedi Temple during the Sacking of Coruscant. Thanks! Imperators II(Talk) 08:35, October 19, 2012 (UTC)

RE: Nox

Hey Cade,

Chalk it up to shoddy programming that shows lekku or montrals (Ashara) unrealistically through otherwise ubiquitous helms. And given Nox's status as Kallig's distant relative, I'd bet a whole lot that he's either human, Sith, or hybrid, since we know that only those species were allowed to hold such rank prior to the GGW. So yeah, the current image is canon, based on what we already know.—Tommy 9281 Tuesday, October 23, 2012, 18:53 UTC

I'm sorry, were you still working on Lassicar? Just wanted to explain myself to avoid any conflicts. I removed the tag because it hadn't been edited for nearly a month and half. Re: Sith Emperor and Nihilus

I'm surprised that you had said that my note about the Sith Emperor and Darth Nihilus was speculatory and didn't belong in the article. After reading The Old Republic: Revan, it seemed like a really obvious question to ask (and I found it very strange that Meetra never compared the Sith Emperor to Nihilus). After all, it is striking that they both lived at the same time and have the ability to drain the life from an entire planet, which nobody else in all of Star Wars history ever was able to do. Heck, the comparison is even starting to turn up in fanfic. I assumed that others who read the book were naturally wondering if there was any connection and so explicitly stating there was no defined connection would be helpful to readers. I'm not speculating about a connection or lack thereof, just stating that there currently aren't any official answers to a question that readers undoubtedly have. -Thunderforge (talk) 03:36, November 10, 2012 (UTC)

Explain

Baras armour

If you are so sure that Baras wasn't on the Dark Council until late in the Cold Warm how do you explain this detailed picture of him a few decades before the war?--Seth danny (talk) 06:02, November 11, 2012 (UTC)

  • Thats not Baras. I think thats Darth Vowrawn. Darth Baras only became a council member after his master was killed.--Jet Twilights (talk) 07:36, November 11, 2012 (UTC)
    • No proof to back that up. Since other people already knew better than the authors and decided for everyone else that Vowrawn was just mentioned, it means that it's not Vowrawn. Wookieepedia logic. Deal with it.--Seth danny (talk) 13:55, November 11, 2012 (UTC)
      • I really don't want to make a forum out of Cade's page here, but the only proof we need to prove this is not Baras is by playing the Sith Warrior story! Do that, or watch a walkthough on Youtube, then come back and tell me were wrong in saying Baras didn't make council until the Cold War.--Jet Twilights (talk) 16:19, November 11, 2012 (UTC)
        • That isn't Vowrawn nor Baras. I saw it somewhere that it was actually a droid Sith Lord. Not sure if it was in the TOR Wiki or some place else. Winterz (talk) 00:41, November 12, 2012 (UTC)
          • For what it's worth, in the actual SWTOR game itself, this character's garments correspond to a "Rakata Force Master" gear available to all lvl 50 Sith Inquisitors (check this link). --LelalMekha (talk) 00:47, November 12, 2012 (UTC)
            • I see. Thanks for clearing that up, Lelal.--Seth danny (talk) 21:32, November 13, 2012 (UTC)

Movies

Hi, why did you change my edit of Episode VII? the reference sourse clearly states that the whole trilogy will see the end of the Skywalker family saga, as it stands the article gives the impression that only Ep VII will end the Skywalkers. --The Mercenary 73 (talk) 23:27, November 11, 2012 (UTC)

[1] The 2nd paragraph clearly states the Skywalker saga will come to a close in a new trilogy.--The Mercenary 73 (talk) 23:40, November 11, 2012 (UTC)

Then why is it used as a reference in that page?--The Mercenary 73 (talk) 23:50, November 11, 2012 (UTC)

Oops, my bad on Revan's approximate birth year!

You are right. I am thinking of the prologue, instead of part 1. Good catch, Cade Calrayn!  :) --Obi-Wan Kenobody 01:08, November 12, 2012 (UTC)

Sith Emperor's name

In TERC under the Main Characters section of The Old Republic: Revan, it calls the Sith Emperor "Emperor Vitiate". Would that be valid enough for a name change or no? DarthRevan1173 Revan Headshot (Long live Lord Revan) 01:58, November 12, 2012 (UTC)

Anons

I tried to update the page of Darth Charnus from some info from youtube and the wook page about the Battle of Corellia( written by you), you delete as fanon; I'm not yet play SWTOR so I'm little confused, he was on Corellia or no? and died there fighting or no? (93.39.218.30 16:07, November 13, 2012 (UTC)) Borin87

  • Yes, he was present, but it's entirely false speculation to say that he died there. Cade Calrayn GalacticRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit 16:09, November 13, 2012 (UTC)
    • Ok thanks, so maybe check the page of the battle of Corellia because he have a dagger near his name in the sith commanders list, this confused me. For the facial states I saw on youtube a look of his face, maybe check youself (93.39.218.30 16:19, November 13, 2012 (UTC)) Borin87
      • Thank you, I did not notice the dagger. I'll remove it. Cade Calrayn GalacticRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit 16:21, November 13, 2012 (UTC)

Annihilation Ship Info

  • Don't know if you have read it yet but, is it okay to assume that the following ship associations can be made from SWTOR:Annihilation: Imperial Dreadnought = Harrower-class, D-class Attack cruiser = Valor-class cruiser, Terminus-class destroyer = C-class destroyer? I ask since its never explicitly said they are one in the same, unless I missed it in the novel. Since other types of Imperial Dreadnoughts exist I think there is a small chance they might not necessarily be Harrower's. Same thing with the mention of the Hammerheads, technically they could actual be Hammerhead-class cruiser and not a Thranta-class corvette like the Annihilation page currently assumes. A similar issue with the Aegis as well, since it is only said to be a capitol ship in the novel with no other description given, again unless I missed something. Just wanted to to know before I add in the various ship lengths given in the novel. Thanks.--Darthscott3457 (talk) 18:16, November 16, 2012 (UTC)

SWTOR ingame message

Hey, so I was going through some of the game text files and came across this message that is sent to the character as an "email." However, I have no idea what the context is and at what level/planet this is initiated or what storyline this is from. I hoping you know. Here is the "message:"

Lieutenant Semphi Talen (Coruscant Security)

House Ulgo's accounts

I've been investigating a break-in at the First Bank of Coruscant. We caught two individuals trying to crack a safety deposit box belonging to the Alderaanian noble house Ulgo. All Ulgo accounts at the First Bank have been frozen after pressure from Teral and Organa investors. These fellows said they were Ulgo cousins, trying to reclaim "valuable family heirlooms."

It turns out that the deposit box contained items smuggled from the Mid Rim; the Ulgos were probably planning to sell them on the black market and start raising more supporters. Between Alderaan seceding and the houses' Republic ties, this is a huge legal gray area, so the Senate's authorized us to place the deposit box in Jedi custody, until the succession's decided. I contacted the Council for suggestions and your name came up.

Off the record: I'm glad these people aren't my headache.

If you could let me know either way, I'd appreciate it! Coruscantfan (Talk) 06:17, November 22, 2012 (UTC)

  • No problem. Do you know who may know the context? I'm planning on going through that storyline, but I'm not sure under what circumstances this message would be triggered to get sent so that may not help me any. YouTube was also NO help... lol Coruscantfan (Talk) 03:03, November 28, 2012 (UTC)
