Hey Cade1. My question is, why do you have the white lantern symbol as an avatar photo. Also, how did you get an avatar picture? I've been trying and the only way I've found out so far is the Facebook link, which I won't use. Any help would be appreciated. JediMaster22 21:48, March 6, 2012 (UTC)JediMaster22

Modfiying templates
Hi, please take note of the specifically bolded line on some template pages: "When making changes to the template, please do not modify the actual HTML code. Just modify the source code below and paste it over the old code." This makes it easier to change the template in future. Thanks, nayayen★talk 21:40, March 8, 2012 (UTC)
- Sure, on some (not all) template pages, there's usually a "Source" section at the bottom with said source code in a
pre-style box. When you want to make a change, edit that part first, then simply copy and paste it over the HTML code at the top of the edit page (up to the <noinclude> tag). It'll then automatically generate the HTML code as needed. It's mainly done because it's much easier to navigate the template-based source code rather than the actual HTML, especially if the template is particularly long. Hope that helps, nayayen★talk 02:01, March 9, 2012 (UTC)

Image quality
Hey. regarding your recent uploads of The Old Republic images, please be sure to turn up the quality settings in the game. It is especially noticeable on images such as File:Kariya.png that the anti-aliasing is set very low, or even entirely off. Generally not having decent anti-aliasing or higher quality textures will make more of a difference than a high resolution. Please bear this in mind in future, and adjust your game's settings as needed. Cheers, nayayen★talk 22:16, March 11, 2012 (UTC)
Edit summaries
Hey there! Just a reminder not to include spoilers in edit summaries, as you did when you moved the "Assault on the Jedi Temple" article. I haven't read Apocalypse yet, and the note you put about the second Assault and who led it was news to me. Our spoiler policy states that spoilers are spoilers for one month. Re:Ref Tags
Hey Cade! I'm not sure exactly what is the technical difference between the two (you could ask an administrator about that). I only know that it is a part of the Wookieepedia sourcing rules (Rule #8). Hope this helps. Imperators II(Talk) 14:02, March 23, 2012 (UTC)
Skirmish in the Loading Bay
Hey Cade, I have a couple questions for you. The first one is regarding the Skirmish in the Jedi Temple Loading Bay—mostly, I just want to hear your reasoning behind keeping it separate from the First assault on the New Jedi Temple. I thought they should be in the same article, because they take place between the same factions at the same place and at the same time. The Solos have a slightly different objective from the Jedi at large, but it's one that could easily be worked into the assault article (especially since, before trying to send Warv in, they meet up with the Jedi and GA forces); and the Sith in the skirmish have the same objective as the Sith as a whole do throughout.
In the same vein, I wanted to talk to you about possibly merging the First and Second assault on the New Jedi Temple|Second assault on the Jedi Temple articles. My reasoning behind it is this: throughout the time that the Jedi attempt to get things ready for what you consider to be the second assault, the prose treats it as part of a single mission. The book talks about how the Jedi are worried that, if they don't get the shield generators down to let the Void Jumpers in, their assault—meaning the continuation of their first assault, which has been going on this entire time—will never succeed. It speaks of the Void Jumpers' arrival as part of a continuation of the first assault. What are your thoughts on these? Cheers, and keep up the good work writing. :) Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 15:18, March 23, 2012 (UTC)
- Actually, I'd also like to ask you about one link you added to the {{tl|Lost Tribe of Sith resurgence}} template: Attack on Pinnacle Point. Do you mean to refer to the attack on Pinnacle Platform around page 317? If so, that skirmish was definitely part of the assault on the Jedi Temple, and not a separate battle. Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 15:45, March 23, 2012 (UTC)
- When you put it that way, it makes sense to combine them - I was a little confused by the timing of the different sections of the book, and I thought that the battle in the loading bay took place after the assault. Same with the Pinnacle Platform thing - feel free to merge the articles, but the First Assault is still largely unfinished. Thanks for asking. 15:52, March 23, 2012 (UTC)
- Will do! No worries at all, and thanks for the quick reply. :) Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 15:58, March 23, 2012 (UTC)
TOR Guild Meetup
Hey, Cade, just a reminder that we're going to meet tomorrow at 12 PM EST on the Wall of Light server to start up our Wookieepedia guilds (Republic and Empire). We'll start off with our Republic characters on Coruscant, where we'll form the guild and add any alts we may have. Then we'll switch over to our Empire characters to form the Empire guild on Dromund Kaas. We should also hash out rules for how or if we intend to recruit new players while we're all online together. Again, that's 12 PM EST on Coruscant. See you there! ~Savagelink=User talk:SavageBob 00:14, March 24, 2012 (UTC)
TOR images
Hey, just so you know, the TOR images you've uploaded recently are better suited to being saved as .jpg files as the number of colours and such makes a .png filesize obscenely large (I saw one that was nearly 4MB). Capturing from the source as .png is a good idea but, in future, just then save them as .jpgs with 90%-95% compression in something like Paint.NET (not MS Paint, that's crap) before uploading and that'll keep the quality high. Cheers, and keep up the good work with the screenshots, nayayen★talk 23:16, March 24, 2012 (UTC)

Could you please provide a source for the Plot Summary that I've already removed once? With the book not out until August, it's rather unlikely that that's the source. And without citation it's just conjecture–could be completely made-up, for all anyone knows. Hence why I removed it. – DigiFluid 15:58, March 30, 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks. I tossed a citation in. I'm sure it won't be necessary and will get axed once the book comes out, but for the moment I think it's a good idea to have a source. – DigiFluid 16:11, March 30, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Pius Dea work - Help!
Certainly, I just want to make sure I understand the situation correctly. Firstly, does all of the information currently in the 12,000 BBY page actually, canonically takes place exactly in 11,987 BBY? Or is it just that we now know that the Pius Dea crusades began a little after 12,000 BBY, meaning some of the info in the article is outdated? If it's just outdated, then that info can be removed/reworded to reflect the exact date that we've since been given for the crusades. Also, for 11,000 BBY: I take it we now know that the crusades ended in 10,966 BBY, but why not keep 11,000 BBY as the approximate date for the formation of the Republic rocket-jumpers? Do we also know that the rocket-jumpers were actually formed in 10,966 BBY? And I'm not quite sure I follow where the 11,987 BBY article fits into all of this: do we know of anything that definitely took place in that year? Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 02:44, April 6, 2012 (UTC)
- Okay, but if the Pius Dea stuff all goes into the 11,987 BBY article, then what belongs in the 11,965 BBY article (and what exactly was the purpose of the original move of 11,987 to 11,965 BBY)? Also, how much of the events leading up to the crusades do we know actually took place in 11,987? For instance, do we know with certainty that Pers'lya's impeachment and Contispex's rise to power all happened in that same year, or do we literally only know that 11,987 BBY was the date of the beginning of the crusades? Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 03:04, April 6, 2012 (UTC)
- Okay, sounds good. And just so you know, if a page has already been created, it needs to be deleted before you can move an article back onto it. Now, just to be certain that we're on the same page and I'm not going to go accidently screw something up: 11,965 needs to be deleted; no information regarding the Pius Dea affiar needs to be kept in 12,000 BBY at all; and the impeachment of Pers'lya and Contispex's rise to power both took place in 11,987 BBY, along with the beginning of the Pius Dea Crusades. If that's all correct, then I'll delete 11,965 BBY, and you'll be all good to continue work on the rest as you are. :) Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 03:30, April 6, 2012 (UTC)
- Gotcha, glad I checked. Looks like you've got it all under control, then. Let me know if you have any questions or need any help. Cheers, :) Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 03:44, April 6, 2012 (UTC)

About Warfare
Hey Cade! Just wanted to know if maybe you've had some typos in the Warfare article. I guess the "Seige of Portus Vida" is meant to be "Siege of Porus Vida"? :) Also, "SIEge of Belasco". And the Seventh Battle of Ruusan is definitely not a part of the Hundred-Year Darkness, so the extra * should be removed. :) Hope this helps! :)

Redirects in articles
Hey Cade - I'm noticing that in several of your articles you link to other pages through redirects such as linking Sand People instead of Tusken Raider. We strive to avoid using redirects to link to articles, and generally pipelink instead, or use the correct, formal term. Of course, you can't tell if it's a redirect from looking at it because all the links are blue, right? Well, that's where this handy code comes in:
a.mw-redirect {color:darkorange}
Paste this into (or create) a .css file with that code in, and you'll see that the redirects are highlighted when you read articles. Now, the .css file is dependent on which skin you use. If you're using the default Wikia skin then its located at User:Cade Calrayn/wikia.css. If you're using monobook (which is Wookieepedia recommended skin) then replace "wikia" with "monobook". Add the code, hit save, then refresh the page. If you did it correctly, then the Sand People link above should now be orange. It's a handy tool. Hope that helps :) - Cavalier One20px(Squadron channel) 13:05, April 12, 2012 (UTC)

Alsakan Conflicts
Hello, Cade. Great work so far on the Wook. I wanted you to know that I went back through the chronology articles relevant to the first of the Alsakan Conflicts. I updated them to reflect everything that is included in Warfare regarding the end of the GMP. Pages 22 and 26 still show the dates of 17,000 BBY as the GMP/Indecta transition as were established as more-or-less hard dates in the NEC and Atlas. I've reverted the eras and 17,000 back in that regard, but the Alsakan Conflicts, as you properly altered, started 17,018 BBY. I've updated and (in some cases) outright rewrote parts of these so that they can retain their FA/GA status and let the appropriate INQ/ACs know that the articles are updated. If you have questions, let me know. Otherwise, keep up the good work. Cheers. — Fiolli; 23:20, April 29, 2012 (UTC)
- Good points. While I still disagree on some nuances based upon the wording, I'll go with what you have. I see what you're working with, and knowing how these things evolve, I believe you are assuredly correct for the Pius Dea and Ductavis. The wording found in the NEC and Atlas regarding the conflicts and those eras is weaker, but for consistency I think we'll go with the changes. I've reworked the articles again. For the record, none of my decisions (other than the one to come out of hiding to update the articles) were based upon FA/GA requirements. By the way, good luck on the WProject. Glad to see someone's already passionate about Warfare! Cheers. — Fiolli; 01:58, April 30, 2012 (UTC)
- No problem. Yes, get a copy of the NEC. It is actually quite nice for chronology (even as a starting point). I know a lot of dates have been refined over the years, which is what causes problems like these. Cheers. — Fiolli; 02:11, April 30, 2012 (UTC)

I noticed it too. I am using wiki text in my sig. I asked Cal how to fix it, but he is using mono book and it does not show up there on the recent changes, so he did not know how to help. WP project Warfare
I just recently got around to placing my two warfare comp noms on the Project page. However, I could not get the comp section to appear without bringing with it the articles under review section. RE:Work on TOR
I thank you Cade. Well as a matter of fact, yesterday I spotted the TOR Project but when I was about to sign my name I noticed your requirements and as I'm not a native english speaker, eventually some grammar mistakes may happen which certainly won't help you promote articles to a Good or Featured Status. So for now I think I'm going to stay out but wish you Good Luck with your ongoing project ! By the way, along with lesser character additions I'm now working on an extensive text for Corso Riggs's storyline but it still might take some time. Is there anyone doing the same? It would be great to share our thoughts. Winterz 12:52, May 2, 2012 (UTC)

SWTOR Guild Recruitment
Hey Cade,
I'm currently in the process of implementing a sitenotice that will hopefully encourage current SWTOR playing Wookieepedians to migrate to our server to join and participate within the guild. I'd like to discuss this, as well as other guild-related issues, in detail with you, Trayus, and Bob. For unknown reasons, I am unable to access my account, so my only form of real time conversation is IRC at this point. Please let me know if/when you will be available for all of us to meet briefly. I am hoping for this weekend, depending on responses from our other guild founders. Thanks,—Tommy 9281 Thursday, May 3, 2012, 00:26 UTC

I was initially being civil when writing this, but I think a more stern tone is necessary: You don't own articles, so don't undo an edit within 2 minutes after it's changed, especially stub articles, simply because there isn't a source listed. FFS, give people a time to track down the sources before you just assume the data is wrong. 67.10.113.37 23:31, May 9, 2012 (UTC)

KOTOR
I added that section on game mechanics ages ago, right before I stopped actively working on it. Game mechanics are worth mentioning on the article about the game and if something IU can be gleened from it, such as if a unit is more effective than another at defense or offence. Simply because it is part of the game's operation does not instantly disqualfy something from being in an article. What we don't include are parts that are not acceptable as in-universe, like Command Posts in Battlefront. NaruHina Talk

TOR Lists
Quoting what you said,
"A secondary TOR project is the NPCs that I have encountered in the game. See Project TOR—it's full of redlinks. I have almost 300 screenshots from TOR, and I have images for most of the characters on my project page. Feel free to create articles from any of those summaries. "
So..my Korriban work is almost complete and tbh I'm a bit annoyed to jump already onto Dromund Kaas. In fact, I'm more interested in places like Tatooine and Taris but as I don't have any images of those places, I'd hope you and I can get a long with this thing. I'm going to start adding pages to the redlinks from your notebook. It would be nice if you and I could colaborate and while I'm adding them, you could upload the images and correct anything like format or something else I might've forgetten. With this "co-op", I believe we'll get them a good status quicker. Winterz 02:11, May 17, 2012 (UTC)

Hey man, I was just wondering how I could get access to uploading images? I'm trying to get new images up of characters yet I don't have permission? —Unsigned comment by Hobgobbo (talk • contribs)
Warfare
I was just wondering about a few things related to Warfare. First of all, should I upload the picture on page 81 for CT-1226? It wouldn't be for the main pic, but it may be useful in the article. Secondly, Aurora and Pomoner are almost GANs, just one Agri corp vote away each. I was wondering if you have a place to put them like the Comp noms when they're done? 501st dogma(talk) 22:53, May 19, 2012 (UTC)
- Nevoota Bee (Acclamator-class) has passed, so we should make the page for the GANs now. How did you want the page to look? 501st dogma(talk) 11:49, May 21, 2012 (UTC)
A piece of advice
Hello Cade. I wanted to ask your opinion about a possible CA/GA nom. I recently created the Black-bearded Sanyassan and Unidentified Sanyassan prison warden articles, and I thought I would try turn one of them into... well, into something I could nominate. But I'm not sure if you I should try a GA or CA in this case. You've promoted both types, I see, so I guess your opinion would be valuable. =) Cheers.--LelalMekha 14:33, May 20, 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you. More quotes for these two seems to be difficult, except if are willing to accept "<Angry grunts>" as a quote. ^^ I must confess this was just floating an idea about those articles, as they are not very relevant. My real project is elsewhere (see Charal), but I still needs a lot of work. Work AND correction, by the way -- as you may know, I'm not a native speaker of English, so my article prose may sound weird at best. =$ --LelalMekha 14:49, May 20, 2012 (UTC)
- Hello again. I'm currently leaving the Sanyassans alone, but I intend to nominate Yavin (deity) as a CA today. I wanted to know if you could give your opinion about it beforehand. Cheers. --LelalMekha 18:55, May 28, 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks. I must confess I'm puzzled as to how count words in an article (what counts and what doesn't), because my word count was definitely lower... Anyway, I'll go for the GANom, then. --LelalMekha 19:05, May 28, 2012 (UTC)
- I see. Do you think it would be proper to use a picture of Yavin Prime's red orb in the skies for the infobox? Or would it be too far-fetched? --LelalMekha 19:22, May 28, 2012 (UTC)

Hey, Cade,
I've made a slight change to the voting options of the Presidency of Daala CT. Just letting everyone who's already cast a vote know. Cheers! Menkooroo 17:57, May 22, 2012 (UTC)

Hero of Tython Redlinks
Ah, sorry, didn't know that, but the amount of redlinks these days are copious. When I saw the Hero of Tython have more than five redlinks I put it up. If you have the situation under control I'll leave it to you. Mattto123 06:28, May 23, 2012 (UTC)

deletion
why did you delete my page, your page explained the insignias, but my page explained all the ranks and there functions and what they commanded and anything I edit you edit back to it's orignal state, I can't do anything.
SergeantDenal 19:21, May 23, 2012 (UTC)
In regards to your reply. How come you only have 3 ranks of the republic listed. Also I was trying to explain what each ranks function was. I am sorry I have poor grammer but that is not a reason to delete, just edit it.
Streets tc
Hey, Cade,
Due to some evidence of official recognition brought forth about the Polish street, I've amended Forum:TC:Star Wars streets to only be about the Vegas streets. Just letting everyone who's voted know. Menkooroo 00:59, May 24, 2012 (UTC)

Sith Emperor
The Powers and Abilities section of Sith Emperor requires major revision. I attempted to update it but you reversed the changes. This is not good practice IMO. Our objective should be to provide most up-to-date information regarding each character and without personal bias. The current information makes it seem like as if Sith Emperor only fought Revan and T3-M4 and could only harm them. He has done lot more and fought many duels. So are you on-board? Let me know your decision. — S_W_LeGenD(My Talk Page) 10:41, May 25, 2012 (UTC)
Battle of Belsavis
The Second Great Galactic War is in act 3, not all classes have their battles on belsavis in act 3. The Barsen'thor, for example, deals with Belsavis during the Rift Alliance cmapaign in act 2. And yeah, thanks, it was in act 3/open conflict (for the template). Mattto123 00:01, May 26, 2012 (UTC)
Battle of Corellia
What are your opinions on this matter, Cade? Do you know of when the imperial invasion in the Cold War started/ended and how it went? I need some help on this matter and we need to change the Battle of Corellia, and make on for the Cold War. We also need to discuss this with Alex. Mattto123 00:09, May 26, 2012 (UTC)
Emperor's Wrath
This debate has supposedly died almost a month ago, but we still haven't decided a conclusion. So, is the image canon or not? I'm still saying it isn't. Mattto123 03:08, May 26, 2012 (UTC)
Episode I
Please stop refusing my edit to the cast section of the article. Look, I'm changing it because it isn't correct. There are informations that are wrong and I'm just trying to make it right. I don't know what is the problem with the changement I made. It is absolutely right. I am a designer and I know what style is more good to look. User talk:Dumbledore's Army's Fan

Speculation
Speculation? Not really. I can break open the Jedi Path, give you the exact page reference and directly quote it right here right now and prove it. Regardless of it not being in game, it doesn't take two eyeballs to see that the Consular uses "The Diplomat's Form" of Niman.
also, if you read it (which you clearly didn't) the text was loose enough to imply that not all historical records are accurate and I even put in brackets (IF THE PLAYER CHOSE THIS CLASS). I mean seriously, at this point you just want to remove posts for the sake of removing posts cause I just ran down the entire list of Force abilities that ARE NOT speculation. And even if they are, you clearly don't read the bits where I say "IT IS POSSIBLE THIS MAY BE THE CASE"
Jedi Knight ability list:
Force Stasis
Force Leap
Blade Storm
Saber Ward
Shii-Cho Form
Force Sweep
Guardian Class specials:
Sundering Strike (Hew Armour, implying Force enhanced heavy strike Awe (Battle Meditation) Force Push Enure (Curato as this ability INCREASES HEALTH BY 30% for 10 seconds, which is the equivalent of temporarily numbing the sensation of pain) Guardian Leap Soresu Form Shien Form
Sentinel Class specials:
Disable Droid Ataru Form Juyo Form
All of these I mentioned and implied (IF YOU CHOSE THIS CLASS) as that was the entire list of abilities I ran through. So that's not "speculation" and on a wiki, it's a way to write in "Not all records are accurate, some say this, some say that." because they ARE in the game so you can list the abilities.
Barsen'thor
What powers did you delete from the guy? I just wanna know, you probably did the right thing and I don't want to doubt you but I just need to know. Mattto123 06:25, May 29, 2012 (UTC)
Alliegence
Why did you return the Allegiance page to the red links category? I checked the whole thing and there is not one red link on the whole page. Please explain. Fire-lord (If no one talks thing out, how will we ever have world peace?) ; 00:25, May 30, 2012 (UTC)
How long would you have me wait, because i thought that the motto was be bold, i'm not going to make a major change on a controversal page like palpatine without asking for people's thoughts, but Allegiance is a minor page and the move i made was the obvious one to make. I apologize if i'm being rude but the move speaks for itself. Fire-lord (If no one talks thing out, how will we ever have world peace?) ; 00:51, May 30, 2012 (UTC)
Ouch, sorry about that, i truly did see that. a thousand apologies. Fire-lord (If no one talks thing out, how will we ever have world peace?) ; 00:57, May 30, 2012 (UTC)
Re:TORCite
It looks great Cade. No need to put it to a vote; it's a clear improvement but not a major change in style, so it can just be implemented. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 22:36, May 30, 2012 (UTC)
- That's fine. I would recommend TORcite. Templates are case-sensitive, so decapitalizing the C will make a whole new template. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 22:46, May 30, 2012 (UTC)
Re:Timeline
The CC7567 page is nice, but it's not what I was thinking of. Also, how are other people supposed to find that? The content of that Timeline of media page doesn't seem terribly user friendly in the Clone Wars. That page would be solid if it wasn't for the new Clone Wars stuff. The other page you sent me isn't really a timeline. I'd still like there to be a timeline. The problem that I see on that page is that most of the unverified claims and conflicts are in the Clone Wars. If we removed that, it would be easier for other people to use the page. I do appreciate your feedback on it. That's why I wanted to wait a week before just doing it. I've already done my personal projects. Quite frankly, that page has bothered me for over a year now.
--EwokSithLord 01:31, May 31, 2012 (UTC)
- Then, uhh... you might want to look at that page. It contains the original research tag. I'm almost positive it was added because of the Clone Wars things. A lot of them used to have dates given, but they were replaced with "Exact placement currently unknown." Also, by that alone, the new Clone Wars media should be removed. There is an existing official Clone Wars timeline that was printed in the front covers of many of the novels. That conflicts with the new media. By creating a new page, you could use this official timeline until a new official timeline is established to include the new Clone Wars media. That's basically what I want to do.--EwokSithLord 01:43, May 31, 2012 (UTC)
- I'm doing my best to stay objective here. Based on my interpretation, the presence of TCW on there is only based on speculation. As of right now, the only thing we can put on there that isn't speculation is the original timeline. I'm not debating that it's canon. I learned three years ago that that is a lost cause. Oh, and I don't want to add dates to that material. I gave up trying to figure that out (in one of my personal projects). --EwokSithLord 02:13, May 31, 2012 (UTC)
- If by "exactly what you're trying to do," you mean what I posted in the sandbox, that is a copy and paste from the timeline. It's no better/worse than what's already there. --EwokSithLord 02:21, May 31, 2012 (UTC)
- I just want to say something outside of all this so you don't take any of it the wrong way. I'm not arguing with you. I just sort of...debating to reach a better conclusion. ...if that makes sense.
- --EwokSithLord 02:25, May 31, 2012 (UTC)
All you have to do is explain how TCW isn't original research/speculation. That's basically the ground I'm standing on right now. If you can explain to me how TCW is not original research/speculation, you win this debate. I'm not unreasonable. I will drop this whole thing and delete the documents containing the code patches I've created for the timelines.
--EwokSithLord 02:48, May 31, 2012 (UTC)
Ah, so you're the one who keeps changing my edits to Obi-Wan's Lightsaber training section. Charmed. In any event, I'd refer you to my explanation at the bottom of the Talk page, where you'll see (hopefully) that it's not a matter of POV, but rather established fact.
