Re:Raid on Ziro's Palace

I'll look through the article when I get home later. Grand Moff Tranner 20px (Comlink) 11:15, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

Re: Thanks

In addition, I think you accidentally put five tildes instead of four when you signed the post on my talk page. You need rest. :P Glad to have helped, though. CC7567 (talk) 00:00, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

Clone trooper Images

Hi... do you have any full body images of Clone Troopers from the clone Wars....if so, can you email them to me- harrisonkeegan@hotmail.com...thanks--Kigon 02:49, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

  • Any full body shots I have have been uploaded and are in use around the site already. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 21:51, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

Re: Mission to Jabba's Palace

Actually no, it's fine. I just left the template up there because I was planning on getting to it later, but I don't think I'll get to it for a while. I'll remove it. Although if you want to take it up as a project, you're welcome to. :P CC7567 (talk) 18:49, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

  • I might be willing, though, I don't have Shipyards of Doom and I'm hesitant to take on projects when I don't have all the Appearances/Sources to be able to do it completely. Though, since it only appears as a flashback in Shipyards of Doom I could probably still pull it off. Yeah, I'll tackle it. LOL - JMAS Hey, it's me! 18:53, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
    • The movie, I would think, would be all that you really need. I haven't read anywhere else where it appears (not even TCW novel), but I think you'll be fine. :P CC7567 (talk) 20:07, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

CN TCW images

Hi.... do you have the Clone wars from cartoon network images of Kit Fisto and Luminara with a white backgrounfd? If so, please email them to me harrisonkeegan@hotmail.com thanks--Kigon 20:00, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

Also, i noticed on your website that you have the image of darth sidious hologram TCW in avatar form.... do you have this in full body?.... also if you have any full body promotional images of Gree from TCW? thanks--Kigon 22:12, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

Images

Hi JMAS; do you think you could take a look at the Ballad of Cham Syndulla article when you have the time? I can't figure out how to properly place the images, or if I'm even using too many. Thanks. CC7567 (talk) 07:16, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

  • It looks OK to me. Unless any objections are raised about it, I'd leave them. If anyone raise an objection, then I'd remove the one of Cham, and just move the one of Gobi playing the ballad down a little bit. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 11:52, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

CN TCW Images

hi... please see my last messages and reply...thanks--199.216.196.1 20:13, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

by the way...this is Kigon--199.216.196.1 20:14, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

This is it. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 21:35, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

Thanks so much... i know this is a really big thing to ask,... but do you have a personal forlder of TCW images? If so, and it's not too big a deal, can you email it to me harrisonkeegan@hotmail.com if not, no big deal--Kigon 22:38, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

  • Sorry, but that won't be happening any time soon. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 23:23, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

That's okay....... i figured that anyway :)--Kigon 23:35, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

ok... 1 more request..... TCW Kit Fisto with 2 lightsabers (standing, not crouching), any Ziro the hutt or Jabba the hutt pics...thanks --Kigon 23:44, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

Are you on?--Kigon 01:03, 1 May 2009 (UTC)

  • Yes, I am for now. No offense, but as I said before, I'm not an image factory. I'm done. As I stated above "This is it." I've emailed, posted, uploaded dozens of images for you, most of which were after you stated your requests were done. It would be one thing if you were wanting images to benefit the Wookieepedia community here, but you're not. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 01:16, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
    • To make sure we're clear, I am more than happy to help you with any matters regarding Wookieepedia and images for use on the site, but the personal image requests have gone on long enough. That is all I'm talking about when I say I'm done. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 01:20, 1 May 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the images you gave me before, sorry to be such a bother--Kigon 02:24, 1 May 2009 (UTC)

Re: Mission to Rugosa

Thanks. I find it a bit questionable, since although it includes the participants, it doesn't really have any action, but unless someone objects, I'm leaving it. It's definitely better than the last image with Thire and the too-small-to-recognize super battle droids in the distance. :P CC7567 (talk) 22:27, 1 May 2009 (UTC)

  • By the way, would you mind if I removed this image from the article? The image placement just isn't working for me; I find it too squished up, and if I move it down, it has to go with the irrelevant Aftermath section. CC7567 (talk) 22:30, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
    • Nevermind, it looks fine now. :) Thanks. CC7567 (talk) 23:00, 1 May 2009 (UTC)

Cad Bame image

Hi..... yes, this is for wookieepedia... on the image of Cad Bane from the Clone Wars Online Comic, can you get rid of the yellow on his boot? Thanks--Kigon 02:28, 2 May 2009 (UTC)

  • Thanks :)--Kigon 13:49, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
    • No problem. Thanks for catching that bit needing cleanup. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 13:52, 2 May 2009 (UTC)

The Clone Wiki

Hi JMAS, this is not a personal image request, but rather one for my own wiki.. The Clone Wiki. We're in need of a good Ziro The Hutt image for the Ziro page on the wiki... could you e-mail it to me so i can add it to my wiki... thanks (PS I created the wiki, so that's why i wanted all those images before)--Kigon 14:11, 2 May 2009 (UTC)

  • Just use the one in the infobox for his article here. That's the best one I've got. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 14:13, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
    • Ok.. I believe there was one on the target TCW poster thingy with all the characters, since it appears that's where you got darth sidious, are you able to get ziro from there, if not that's okay--Kigon 14:15, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
      • No, that's not a good image. You wouldn't want to use that. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 14:28, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
        • Can you post it to my profile just so i can see it?--Kigon 14:29, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
          • Let me save you the time. Go look at the image in the infobox for Ziro. The one from Target is the exact same image, only very much smaller. Plus part of the main body is partially transparent and chopped off and it has this semi-transparent gray haze surrounding the body. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 14:36, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
            • Ewwwww, that soungds gross, okay we also need the Kit fisto with 2 lightsabers standing pic for the wiki--Kigon 14:46, 2 May 2009 (UTC)

    • It appears that his blue light saber is cut off... can you fix it?

That's okay, thanks for trying, by the way if you have spare time, we could use your skills on our wiki:)--Kigon 15:03, 2 May 2009 (UTC)

Hi. We eed the image of the second courscant guard trooper from target CGT bio on my wiki... can you please give it to me to post on my wiki? thanks--Kigon 22:04, 2 May 2009 (UTC)

We also need the images of Fox on page 2&3&4 of out foxed. Please make sure they are the full image (full body). My wiki is in eternal debt to you!--Kigon 14:58, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

can you give me the password for the gallery--Kigon 02:10, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

  • No. It's a personal password I use for many different things so I'm not going to give it out. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 02:32, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

So one can access the gallery without a password?--Kigon 22:37, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

  • No. Only I can access the gallery. Before I locked it, people would access and scalp the images. But since they don't have a way to just preview the images without opening it to everyone, you'll have a make requests, and if I have the image, I'll post a link to it. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 22:55, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

Hi JMAS... I would like any full-body images of clone troopers (not commanders or specific clones) that you have for my wiki. thanks--Kigon 14:19, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

  • I'm not sure I have any - just torso/headshots or specific named clones - but I'll take another look. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 14:38, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

Okay... if you don't find those (clones) , do you have any images of anakin or obi-wan (full-body) that are not on SW.com or NRK?--Kigon 16:04, 9 May 2009 (UTC) Actually.... i forgot to ask for some grievous pics... the only ones we have are of him with 4 lightsabers and him crouching with 1. if you have any more, that would be great--Kigon 16:15, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

Actually.... i forgot to ask for some grievous pics... the only ones we have are of him with 4 lightsabers and him crouching with 1. if you have any more, that would be great--Kigon 16:15, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

  • I'll look. Also, please don't keep making new headings for each new request. This is already an established heading and can be used for all future requests. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 16:20, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

I know this is really stupid, but i don't know how to get the message under the same heading each time. Do you know?--Kigon 16:28, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

  • There you go. Looks like you got it now. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 16:31, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
    • I had to go in and edit the page to do so--Kigon 16:32, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
      • Ah. To edit an individual section only, you just click on the "edit" link to the right of the heading. Also, if you are continuing a running conversation, please use the * at the beginning. Like you see how I have one *. You would put ** before your next post. Then along this same topic, if responded again, I'd use *** and so forth and so on. Make sense? - JMAS Hey, it's me! 16:35, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
        • Thanks... how goes the search for images? Got it. --Kigon 16:37, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
          • I'll let you know when I'm at a place where I can search. Patience is a virtue. ;) - JMAS Hey, it's me! 16:47, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
            • Can't you just use your photobucket gallery of personal image folder?--Kigon 16:52, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
              • I am sorry for being so unpatient.... but have you found any images yet?--Kigon 00:00, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

Turbolasers

I'm seeing some Star Wars fans state that the turbolasers from a single Star Destroyer is capable of "melting the surface of a planet." Where are you guys getting that idea? Colonel Marksman 09:29, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

Image Request

Hey, JMAS. Could you upload the image of Calo Nord from this site?

Thanks.--Jedi Kasra (talk) 15:46, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Could you also upload the image of Revan from this link? Gonna use it in the article, working on a sub-page of mine.

Thanks.--Jedi Kasra (talk) 16:33, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

  • That's bizarre. Have you talked to the administrators about it? Might be worth asking Uberfuzzy, a Wikia staffer and tech person, if they might be able to figure out why you're unable to use the upload feature. Anyhow, here you go. :File:Revan figure.jpg. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 16:39, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
  • Thanks, man. Sorry for the late response.--Jedi Kasra (talk) 15:15, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

Heya

I read something up on how there's a policy where every video game expansion needs a separate article, hence, the changing. Unsigned comment by SWMasterObi (talk • contribs)

  • Oh, sorry, forgot the signing part. And yeah, the articles haven't been changed, but I had just changed the first expansion's article when you reverted it. EIther ways, have a great day. SWMasterObi 00:31, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

QOTD custom

Although it's not specifically listed in the rules (so as not to encourage it) there's been a long-standing QOTD custom that voters who do not meet the 50-vote requirement are allowed to vote on quotes they themselves nominate. They simply can't vote for anyone else's. Check the history or browse the calendar, and you'll find I've adhered to this unwritten rule. So anyway I'll be un-striking whatshisname, N2games's quote again, and no need to worry. Enochf 02:27, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

  • Gotcha. Good to know for future reference. Thanks. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 04:34, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

RFB

JMAS, I have to thank you for your consideration and support of my nomination. To have users like you, who just work and try to stay out of the rat race of site politics (and related baloney), support me is quite uplifting. That you carefully weighed out the comments and factored in your previous knowledge of me is downright flattering. You're a positive, constructive user, and I look forward to working with you further on the site. Thanks again. Graestan(Talk) 18:55, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

One month already

Hello to all the members of WookieeProject: The Clone Wars! Considering the project has just been launched, we've had a great first month, taking three articles to FA status and five articles to GA status. I would like to remind you to please try to do whatever you can to help out; there are still many potential articles that can be taken up as projects, and many of you are already working very hard on them. In the next month, we have a goal to double (if not multiply even more) our current FAs and GAs, because once Season Two starts airing, there will be a ton of more articles that will require attention, and it's best if we get as many as we can out of the way now. Thank you for contributing! Your project head, CC7567 (talk) 20:16, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

Picture request

Hi JMAS. If you have the time, could you find and upload a better version of this image? (Even though you probably would have without me having to ask. :P) I'm not a very good screenshotter, and I couldn't find a good image, so I just used one from the SW.com episode guide. If you could find a better one, that would be much appreciated. Thanks. :) CC7567 (talk) 06:21, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

  • Sorry for the delay. I was out of town for the weekend. Not sure the one I uploaded is better, Take a look. If you like the one from the episode guide better, go ahead and revert it. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 02:17, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
    • No, it looks fine and beauteous right now. Thanks JMAS. :) CC7567 (talk) 02:24, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

Fox in Hostage Crisis

right|thumb Hi. I know this has been talked about before but I'm pretty sure that Cmd. Fox is in HC. If you look really closely at this image, you can see that he is wearing a kama. Neither Thire, Jek, or Rys wear kamas. Can you please add Hostage crisis to the list of his appearances? Thanks.--Kigon 18:12, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

  • No. As has been talked about before. Being "pretty sure" doesn't suffice. Unless and until an official source names that clone as being Fox, or lists Fox in a "cast list" or something for that episode, then it's conjecture. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 18:39, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

Website Stuff

On your website, are you going to make a page of TCW images? I would just like to know.--Kigon 18:25, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

  • Yeah, eventually. Wookieepedia has been my main focus for the last year. But I'm planning to. Also going to revamp the site. Maybe not the layout, but format for displaying images will likely be overhauled and that will be a major undertaking. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 18:41, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
    • When you do, can you tell me on my talk page?--Kigon 22:33, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for adding to List of Non-Force senstive Lightsaber Users. Since you were part of the TC discussion, you wouldn't happen to remember about how many articles were in that category, would you? I want to know when the list becomes fairly complete (I assume we have a ways to go). IthinkIwannaLeiaWaddaUthink? 16:59, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

User page pic

This is NOT a personal image request. If you are able, can you get the image of obi-wan and anakin back to back from the lucasarts website? It is at the front page left of the republic heroes thingy. I need this for my user page, and it might also look good in images of the clone wars. If you would place it on my user page, that would be great. Thanks so much.--Kigon 23:51, 20 May 2009 (UTC)

  • Done. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 00:18, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
    • Thanks.... you are always so kind to me.--Kigon 01:56, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
      • No problem. I almost answered "no" immediately because in the past, they have been animated flash movies, which I can't get still images from. But I decided to check and they've changed them to just still flash files now, so I was able to extract the image. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 01:59, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

What did I do wrong?

What did I do that was SO wrong? I only split the Elite stormtrooper into a new section from the Coruscant Guards. One is imperial and one is Republic.--ARC commander4 13:42, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

  • They are both still Coruscant Guards, just in different eras. There aren't separate articles for Stormtroopers of the Empire, Imperial Remnant, Fel's Empire and Krayt's empire. They are all stormtroopers of different eras and therefore all contained within the Stormtrooper article. What you did wrong was change the article so the referencing was broken. You changed the infobox image from the established image depicting the lastest known Coruscant Guard. You removed a very high quality promotional image. Those ae the highlights. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 13:47, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

MotO

Why do you keep puting a picture of Yoda on the Master of the Order page? Mace Windu is the better known one, and there was nothing wrong with my picture in the first place. Bold Clone 17:15, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

  • Very simple. The Mace Windu one is already used in the Mace Windu article. The Yoda image is a very good image, it is only used on an archived page for the Yoda article, therefore I'm having a little diversity within the images of Wookieepedia. For that reason, I'll be putting the Yoda image back. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 17:24, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

"Shady" Pers

Nice new picture for him, thanks for uploading it :) OLIOSTER 30px 02:44, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

  • No problem. One hint though: the image you uploaded was only 246px wide, or something like that, yet you put it in the article infobox at 250px. If an image you upload is less than 250px wide, make sure you don't stretch it in the infobox. Just set the pixels to the exact width of the image and set the image background setting to |imageBG=FFFFFF. Thanks. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 02:50, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

Re: Mission to suspected space

I'm not quite sure; I found it a bit wordy. I would probably go with "Mission to suspected Confederate space", but I'm going to check with others for right now. Thanks for the suggestion. CC7567 (talk) 02:22, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

Good addition

Thanks JMAS, the audio quote in the prelude of Duel on Mustafar really helps with the overall quality :) JangFett Talk 17:46, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

Re: WOTM

Thanks very much, JMAS. I really hope you win it soon. :) CC7567 (talk) 01:00, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

  • Thanks. I'd be flattered and honored if I ever make it. But it's not for recognition or awards, it's to better Wookieepedia. And I'll keep doing what I do either way. But thanks again, and again, congrats to you. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 01:04, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

The Old Republic Images

Hey I was looking around the TOR pages and saw some images of the new cinematic. I clicked on them and it send that was the largest resolution. Since you put them on the site, and images are kinda your thing I thought I'd direct you to a higher res larger version of the video on Youtube. Second, I'm assuming you watched the cinematic. Do we have pages for the two "main characters" shown? Thanks. Galen Marek 20px (Personal Comm) 22:20, 2 June 2009 (UTC) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4iL5uUDf5I

  • Thanks for the link. There aren't pages for them yet. I have screenshots ready for them when they are, but figured I'd hold off to see if any of them are identified by name in the near future. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 22:26, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

Copyvio?

Hi JMAS,

I'm still gathering sources for Kyp Durron and was fleshing out his Behind the scenes section with some of the merchandise that's come out. I found that he was included in one of the Wizard of the Coasts miniature sets, but have only been able to find a picture of it here:

I was wondering if it's okay to upload that image, or if it violates Fair Use etc?

Thanks,

-- Harrar (Villip) 09:10, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

  • Just properly attribute the source when you upload the image. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 11:47, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

TOR trailer speculation

Hello. I would greatly appreciate if you would refrain from placing your personal speculation regarding the TOR trailer on Wookieepedia. The rank of the Sith leading the invasion of the Jedi Temple was never confirmed to be Lord, the ranks of his troops were never confirmed to be Marauders, and the rank of the Jedi he dueled was never confirmed to be Master. While this all is extremely likely, it has not been confirmed. As Wookieepedia is an encyclopedia, unconfirmed things have no place here. Thank you - Gorthuar 17:13, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

  • 1. Don't lecture me. I've been here longer than you. 2. I'll accept the Sith Marauder as being speculation, for now. 3. He was a Sith Lord, per The official game site which states, and I quote, "While the Emperor’s Dark Council engaged Republic leaders in peace talks, several Sith Lords and an elite Imperial army sacked the Republic’s capital planet." - JMAS Hey, it's me! 17:32, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
    • 1. I shall lecture anyone who appears to be in need of lecturing, no matter what their experience. Including your eminent ominpotence in this case. 2. Glad we agree on *something*. 3. I'm perfectly aware that there were multiple Sith Lords present during the assault on Coruscant. But does that make this specific Sith a Lord? Hell no! Of course it makes *sense* to place a Sith Lord in charge of invading the Jedi Temple... but it's speculation that it's this guy. Gorthuar 17:52, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Images

Hi. I just wanted to know why you replace PNG images with JPG images when PNG has higher quality when its compression produces no nasty artifacts or the like. Just asking, wanted to know if there's any specific reason or something. Thanks. 173.51.153.214 17:56, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

  • There is no reason to have it be a large PNG image, when the JPG quality is just as good. Also, the PNG version was very dark. The JPG version I uploaded to replace it was brighter. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 17:58, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Why remove the reference to the 501st Legion from the R2-KT page but not remove the source Complete_Star_Wars_Encyclopedia where the information was obtained?

TOR trailer articles

Not at all. My plans were to add in details on their duel in the future, but having read your edit, I think it's safe to say that you'd probably do a better job at that than I would. :p Grand Moff Tranner 20px (Comlink) 23:37, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

  • The article is still a work-in-progress and not yet finished; therefore, I would kindly ask that you not make any further edits. I hate to say this, and I'm sorry if I seem rude, but I only gave you permission to work on the details of the duel only, and nothing else. Grand Moff Tranner 20px (Comlink) 15:00, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
    • No rudeness or offense taken. My only goal was improving the article. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 15:09, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
      • I understand, and hopefully if I can expand the article enough, I will be able to add a third image. Grand Moff Tranner 20px (Comlink) 15:14, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
  • Listen, I'm sorry. I have no excuse for my rudeness to you - that remark was uncalled for, and I regret writing it. But I can say that your response was equally inappropriate. So if this is how all our encounters are going to be in the future, I think it would be in our best interests to avoid each other from now on. Once again, I apologize for my behavior toward you. Grand Moff Tranner 20px (Comlink) 22:44, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
    • I'm glad we were able to settle this. I look forward to working with you in the future. Grand Moff Tranner 20px (Comlink) 13:19, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
      • I'm sorry to but in, but I have to say something. Seriously, GMT, How was JMAS' response equally rude? It wasn't even rude at all. It was completely humble and acceptant. Seriously, you can't randomly call humble rude. --Kigon 23:03, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
        • Kigon, I would recommend staying out of this. The issue has already been resolved, and restarting it is only going to make it worse. CC7567 (talk) 23:09, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
          • Okay. Thanks for the advice CC7567!:)--Kigon 23:12, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

TOR Jedi Death Image

Hey, I noticed you reverted my edit on the Ven Zallow, so I guess I'll talk to you about it here. Wouldn't you think that it would be appropriate to have an image of his death in the article rather than one of him merely leaping over a lightsaber? Ruthless Xero 06:44, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

  • Not, not at all. Showing him using Force Jump illustrates his abilities. The image you uploaded looks just like the first image of his locking sabers with the Sith, except that you can't see the sabers, and have no idea that he is actually being stabbed without the caption. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 11:48, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

Help with images

Hey, I heard many people compliment you with uploading many images for Wookieepedia, so I was wondering if you could please help me with it.

Something that has really been bugging me since I first joined this community is that I don't exactly know how to obtain images for uploading and that has really inhibited my ability to contribute to the site. You see, I'm pretty much an amateur at anything involving the use of computers, and that includes images. The main problem for me is not uploading the images themselves, it's getting them. For example, I could help a lot if I knew how to get images off of KotOR I and II while I'm playing, but I don't. I think I'm supposed to press the prt sc button or something, but I haven't tried that yet, so I'm still not sure. And even if that was how to do so, I don't know how to obtain an image from games on consoles such as the PS2, etc. I don't think it's as simple as just taking a picture with a camera and saving it onto my computer right? That leads to my problem with getting images from books. Do I just take a camera and capture it? Because doesn't that usually mess it up a little, like it doesn't turn out as a clear photo such as the ones I see on the site. Or is that how people actually get them? Oh yeah, and I also had a problem getting images from the LucasArts official sites for Battlefront because it uses Adobe Flash Player. Upon recent contemplation, I think I just need to use prt sc and then crop the image, but since I'm asking you anyways, I'll just try it later. But in general, these are the problems that I've been plagued with for quite a while, and oddly enough, I choose only now to ask someone for help. Cyfiero 09:07, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

  • I wish I could be more help. As far as taking screenshots from console games, I haven't the foggiest clue. I have an Xbox 360 and from all I've read, it's all but impossible to get screenshots from that without buying special this, and special that, which I'm not willing to do. As for using the camera, there is only one time you ever want to use a camera, and that is for images such as File:G2-9T.jpg where I was Star Tours at Disney World, and it was a live shot. You never want to take a picture of a book, or TV screen or computer monitor as the quality will always suck royally, no matter how nice of a camera you may have. The only way to get images from books is with a scanner. Taking image screenshots from the Flash Animations/images used on sites like the LucasArts site is tricky. Sometimes that is the only way to get an image. But if possible, it's always better to extract the actual SWF file and use a program designed to extract images from Flash movies or files. Firefox is the only browser I know of that allows you to access the browser cache to directly extract files that were present on a particular website. If it's possible to do in IE, I'm not aware of how. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 22:22, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
    • So, is it alright if you explain to me the products that I might have to buy to be able to get screenshots from console games? Um, sorry but what do you mean by scanner? And I'm completely fine with using Firefox, the only reason why I don't prefer to use it as my main browser is because it lacks the ability to make more than one button. So how can I extract the files that are present on a website? Sorry, like I said, I'm horrible at all of this. Cyfiero 02:59, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
      • I have no idea what products you'd need. Google is wonder tool for something like that though. Do a search for "screenshots from insert console name here" and you'll likely find many forums and websites that will explain what what you need and how to do it. Scanner. A way you can extract files from a webpage is when on the page, go to "File" > "Save page as" and in the save as type drop down box, make sure it is set to "Web page, complete". In Firefox, you can access your browser cache by typing about:cache in the address bar. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 16:22, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
        • Okay, well thanks for the help. =) (Yeah, I know this is old, I do that sometimes) Cyfiero 11:29, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

Legacy 38

Hi JMAS, on the cover of Legacy 38, is the female fighting with Cade Azlyn Rae? If so, shouldn't she be added to the character list? Thanks.--Kigon 15:24, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

  • I'm fairly certain that's Nyna Calixte posing as Morrigan Corde, not Azlyn Rae. But feel free to add her (meaning Morrigan Corde, not Rae) to the list. Be bold. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 22:25, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
    • Thanks for the clarification. I'll go add her (Morrigan) to the list soon. By the way, I think it was totally out of place for Gorthuar to be lecturing you about the TOR trailer speculation, you are superior to him and those who have been around longer know things and therefore don't need to be lectured. (I sorta just went on a lecture my self, didn't I? XD)--Kigon 22:39, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

Ah, thanks for pointing that out JMAS :) I guess it should be changed in Anakin Skywalker as well. JangFett Talk 16:41, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

  • It should. I'll tackle that. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 16:43, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

TCW Check-in

So that our project doesn't end up like that cruiser.
Hey Subst:PAGENAME! This is your monthly check-in from your project head of WookieeProject The Clone Wars. Our Featured Articles haven't seen any additions as of yet, but our Good Articles are steadily growing. I'd like to remind you to check the current projects listing when you have the chance. If you still have the intent on working on any projects (specifically within the next two or three weeks) that you've reserved there, then it's fine. If you no longer have the intent to work on your project(s), please update it so that others have the chance to work on items there. Thanks again! Visual Guide

Hey JMAS. If my understanding is correct, then you have a copy of Star Wars: The Clone Wars: The Visual Guide, and I was wondering if you could take a look in it for me. Does Rex have an entry, and if so, could you let me know of any info that might not have been referred to in any other TCW works or media? Thanks. CC7567 (talk) 23:56, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

  • Actually, I have the TCW Campaign Guide, not the Visual Guide. Sorry. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 00:02, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
    • Oh, oops. My bad. If you don't mind, could you check that for Rex? Thanks. CC7567 (talk) 00:03, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

ARF Troopers

Hi JMAS. I'm incredibly sorry that I have to do this, but i was wondering if you had the image of the two ARF troopers from Star Wars.com (top Image, changes weekly with characters from TCW). I would have got it from SW.com except that i didn't have time too, i have exhausted all other venues, so if you have it, I would like it for my userpage. Sorry again for the inconvenience--Kigon 21:09, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

  • When was it up? - JMAS Hey, it's me! 21:13, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
    • I don't know for certain, but probably around the time Liberty On Ryloth aired.--Kigon 21:15, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
      • And it was definitely two ARF troopers together? Because I don't have anything with two ARF troopers. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 21:19, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
        • Yes, one was to the left holding his gun with two hands and the other has facing the front.--Kigon 21:21, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
          • Bummer, sounds like a cool image, but alas, I must have missed that one. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 21:22, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
            • Thanks for trying, I know that if you did have it you would have given it to me like the kind person that you are. (P.S. You should hopefully get WOTM soon.;))
              • I guess i had it wrong, because it was only one. It's back!--Kigon 03:00, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

Invitation Only

May I ask why you choose to replace the original jpg file with a png version? The files extracted from the swf were jpg's, so I suppose that is the image's native format and the png version is just waste of space with no extra quality. MauserComlink 13:01, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

  • Incorrect in this case. The web comic viewer has updated the Invitation Only comic and the newest Hunting the Hunters are not in SWF format any longer, they are extracted directly from the browser in PNG format. None of the comics prior to Invitation Only have been updated though. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 13:16, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
    • Yeah, I followed the link and already got to that part. What do you think, should we replace all previosly uploaded images from the webcomics with the new png versions? MauserComlink 13:33, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
      • That was my thinking. In the process of doing that now. :) - JMAS Hey, it's me! 13:34, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

Images request

Hey JMAS, do you think you could get me some images of the Neimoidian in the online comic Hunting the Hunters (Part 1)? If you do, could you get me an image of him on the chair (for the infobox, though I'd like as much of him and the chair in the picture as possible), and one of him conferring with the battle droid on the top of the last page? Thanks. Grand Moff Tranner 20px (Comlink) 13:34, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

  • You got it. I'm in the process of replacing the old JPG images from Invitation Only first, then I'll get to that for ya. Shouldn't be long. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 13:36, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

File:UnidentifiedNeimoidian-TCWHtHpt1.png File:UnidentifiedNeimoidian2-TCWHtHpt1.png *waves fingers* These are the images you're looking for. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 14:03, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

  • This is kinda funny. I wanted these, but i was waiting to see if they would be uploaded, so thanks. (P.S. Do you need the bonus page of HTH1? If so, let me know.)--Kigon 14:08, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
    • *curiosity peaked* What do you mean by "bonus page"? - JMAS Hey, it's me! 14:14, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
      • In the game, if you destroy Shahanan's ship, and make it to the end, it will say "You have unlocked a bonus page, ckick to read it". It shows what happens to Shahanan, and by the way, Hondo is in it. The problem is i as of yet don't know how to upload an image, but i could e-mail it to you or something.--Kigon 14:20, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
  • Thanks again, JMAS. Grand Moff Tranner 20px (Comlink) 14:42, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

Agenda image

Hi there. I am looking for the pic of argyus, padme, and palpatine from Agenda, can you get it for me? Thanks. (If not then that is okay too)--Kigon 14:27, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

  • For an article, or a user image? - JMAS Hey, it's me! 14:34, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
    • I was thinking for a user pic, but it might also look nice in the article of argyus or agenda.--Kigon 14:36, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
      • I just ask for the purposes of when I upload it, whether to use the User-image tag on it. If I can make it fit in an article, I'll do so, otherwise, I'll add the tag. Working on something at the moment, I'll get to that shortly. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 14:52, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
        • Thanks man, sorry for pushing you earlier, i had no reason to do that.--Kigon 14:56, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
          • If, for some strange reason, there are TCW images you want and don't have, let me know, i'll give them to you. I am in eternal debt to you.--Kigon 15:10, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
            • No problem. :) - JMAS Hey, it's me! 15:11, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
              • I would really like to know how to upload images, can you tell me?--Kigon 15:22, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

Re: References

No, it's not, per rule number five here. However, make sure you consult the rest of the GAN and FAN requirements; the article has to be 1,000 words for it to be an FAN, and 250 for a GAN. CC7567 (talk) 19:25, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

  • No...according to Microsoft Word, it's currently 588 words. Also, you may have to end up slimming the intro down, so I would recommend going for a GAN first. If it meets the requirements, you can always try to FA it later. :) CC7567 (talk) 19:49, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
    • By the way, it looks like you may have to do some referencing for the article. His date of death needs to be referenced as "circa 22 BBY" to the TCW novel, as the novel places the events of the film more or less in 22 BBY, and therefore the series itself takes place c. 22 BBY. CC7567 (talk) 19:51, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

CR-20 image upload

Hey, JMAS. I've uploaded a copy of the digital version of the CR-20 vs Porax 38 picture from the The Clone Wars Campaign Guide. The lower-resolution version looks almost like the one that you'd scanned, though. Just a little cooler. One thing I've noticed is that the preview strips the ICC profile from the image, and the higher-resolution version has more of the intended original colors, so the preview is pretty drab in comparison. I think your scan is fine, so use this image only if you think it's better. Mark Bantha68 03:35, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

  • Thanks for the new images you're uploading, Mark. But you don't need to upload them with a new file name. On the original image file, there is a link that says "Upload a new version of this image" which you can use to simply overwrite the old version. :) - JMAS Hey, it's me! 03:28, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

Okay, I didn't want to get rid of your old image since it looks pretty much the same (at least the preview does) & I wanted to give you the option. Bantha68 03:40, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

  • Yours still looks better, less JPG artifacts. I've marked the one I uploaded for deletion. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 04:24, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

Hi JMAS. I am wondering if you are going to update the article for the wind raiders of taloraan. I can provide the images, when needed. If you are not in charge, can you tell me who is?--Kigon 14:36, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

  • I don't own it, so I can't update it. Might want to ask some of the members of WookieeProject: The Clone Wars. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 04:13, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
    • Okay, Thanks. I only asked you for that very reason.(you are part of WPTCW)--Kigon 22:34, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
      • One little word makes all the difference in a statement. ;) I meant "ask one of the other members of WPTCW." - JMAS Hey, it's me! 22:42, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
        • I know that. I just meant to tell you why I asked you specifically.--Kigon 22:44, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
          • I know, and you're always free to ask. Just making a little joke. Have any of the other members answered you about it? - JMAS Hey, it's me! 22:47, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
            • Sorry for taking that the wrong way. Truthfully, I haven't asked any others yet, but I plan to.--Kigon 22:50, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

Problem with "Category: Images of Revan"

Hi, JMAS. Just wanted to let you know that this image doesn't belong in Revan's category, rather it belongs in Malak's. Also, what happended to the image of the Wizards miniature figure of Revan? • I'm sorry, I only have the full screen version of Duel of the Droids in HD, meaning there's a big Cartoon Network logo on every screenshot. And sure enough, in the frame that would make the perfect screenshot, the logo covers the entire antenna array at the bottom. And it would be near impossible to edit it out. And sadly, I don't own the Visual Guide. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 01:12, 19 June 2009 (UTC)

Darth Trayus 30px (Trayus Academy) 04:30, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

Venator-class jumping to hyperspace

Hey JMAS, can you upload the image of the Venator-class Star Destroyer jumping to hyperspace? The source is in Storm Over Ryloth. The scene shows two clone troopers and Anakin on the bridge, and shows the Star Destroyer entering hyperspace. The image will go into the new Venator article. Thanks JMAS :) JangFett Talk 00:04, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

  • In addition, can you upload a image of a Venator-class firing it's turbolasers. I believe you can find one in "Destroy Malevolence". JangFett Talk 00:29, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

Droid

Hi, JMAS. Could you please help me identify the scene in TPM featured in the screenshot of SSA-719? The article says that he escorted Amidala, but I haven't seen any droid against such background in that particular scene. My guess that it may be somewhere in the Palace battle scene, but I couldn't spot him there either. You seem to be the right person to ask regarding images and everything related to them, so I guess you might have better luck in spotting him. QuiGonJinn 20px(Talk) 20:08, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

  • I'm fairly certain it's the SWCCG that identifies this droid and states that he was assigned to escort her to the camp. Sometimes, the images used on the cards are direct screencaps from the movie. Sometimes though, the cards are pieced together using CGI. I have a feeling the latter is the case here considering I cannot find that shot anywhere in the film. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 23:32, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
    • As you can see here, the card says nothing about him escorting Amidala. Thanks for trying to help, though. QuiGonJinn 20px(Talk) 09:23, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
      • I'll take another look when I get home. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 11:52, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
        • Found him! He's the security droid standing to the right of the throne room door as Sabé shows up to distract the TF forces and allow Padmé to capture Gunray. The CCG card image was mirrored. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 20:27, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
          • Great! Now I understand why I couldn't spot him. My version of the film appears to be somewhat stretched in width—the way that only his hand is visible on screen in that scene. Thanks a lot. QuiGonJinn 20px(Talk) 20:45, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

Audio dramas

Hey JMAS,

By any chance, do you have either of the TOTJ audio dramas?Tommy9281 17px (No quarter given, all exits sealed) 13:23, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

  • Do I have them currently, no. Can I get them, yes. What do you need? - JMAS Hey, it's me! 13:54, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
    • OK, I have them now, so let me know what you're looking for and I'll get to work on it. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 14:33, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
      • I know you're a busy guy, so I won't expect that you'll get to these any time soon; whenever you do is quite alright with me. Many of the quotes for the TOTJ articles I FAed are from the audio dramas, but I don't currently have the capacity to create the corresponding audio files. If you ever feel up to it, I greatly welcome the enhancement of any of those articles with audio files should you choose to do so. The only one I specifically have in mind is Gobee, but feel free to do any of the others if you choose. If you're not up to it though, that's cool, since it was just a thought. If you are, I'd appreciate it tremendously. Thanks for your time.Tommy9281 17px (No quarter given, all exits sealed) 01:11, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
        • Hey JMAS, you're absolutely correct. It is totally my fault; While I do appreciate his help, I didn't mean for Xicer9 to work on Gobee's, and I should have been more clear in my request of him. I know how tedious it can be with timing & what have you when trying to obtain the audio files, and I sincerely apologize for my mistake. If there is any way I can repay you for your time, please let me know.Tommy9281 17px (No quarter given, all exits sealed) 13:06, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
          • No need to repay me for the time. LOL It was just frustrating. And as I said, I'm more than happy to keep helping on it. As you'll see, while getting the Gobee files, I also grabbed several others. I was thinking over the weekend, I'll go for the ones on the Battle of Iziz and Raid on the Iziz Royal Palace. Any other current projects you're most interested in? - JMAS Hey, it's me! 13:19, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
            • Yeah, I'm really sorry about that JMAS, I guess I got a little confused. I'll let you do the rest unless Tommy wants me to do any specific ones. Again, sorry for all the time and frustration. Xicer920px(Combadge) 15:12, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
              • Water under the bridge guys. :) I was pissy this morning. I should have cooled my head before responding to a miscommunication on very little sleep. We can both absolutely work on the files Xicer. You've got the capabilities and so do I. Let's just coordinate better so we're not both working on the same ones next time. ;) - JMAS Hey, it's me! 15:17, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
                • So now that we've cleared this up, if you guys don't mind coordinating with each other on the rest of those, it'd be great. Also, if you manage to get around to Tott Doneeta, that would be awesome as well. thanks, fellas.Tommy9281 17px (No quarter given, all exits sealed) 16:12, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

TOTJ Audio dramas

  • I don't have the cut scenes. Someone is getting them for me, and they're only up to Kyle refusing to kill Jan on Ruusan. But I'd be happy to do that for you once I get it, but I have no idea how long it will be. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 14:27, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

thumb|right|90px|The current image of Cody Hey JMAS, I have a question. • Update, this is for my Cody project and for the feature Cody article for FAN. JangFett Talk 00:39, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
    • Can you be more specific? Whatdid Obi-Wan say to Cody? - JMAS Hey, it's me! 00:44, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
      • It was in the first 3 minutes of the film. Cody and Rex met up with Skywalker and Kenobi after Kenobi said "I told you this victory was too easy.". Skywalker told Rex to follow him then Obi-Wan said "Cody, battle positions." JangFett Talk 00:54, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
        • The scene right at the moment you mentioned only shows Cody's head from the side. Is that the shot you want? Or one from a little later, like when Cody says, "Skywalker show have attacked by now!". Either way, I'll get to that as soon as I can, but it might be tomorrow afternoon before I can get it. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 01:09, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
          • If the shot where Cody says "Skywalker show have attacked by now!" shows more of him, then that would be better. Thanks JMAS, and I'm in no rush :) JangFett Talk 01:14, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

Moradmin Bast request :P

Hey JMAS, I am in need of two images for my Moradmin Bast GAN. I need a image of Bast talking with Tarkin during the Battle of Yavin. He said "We analyzed their attack sir, and there is a danger." The second image is when you see Tarkin and Bast in a two shot and Tarkin says "You may fire when ready." JangFett Talk 16:14, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

    • On the second one, are you talking about when they destroy Alderaan, or right before the DS goes boom? - JMAS Hey, it's me! 03:47, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
      • Before the DS goes boom :) JangFett Talk 14:27, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
        • Just to confirm, this is a shot of both of them standing together, with the big DS viewscreen in front of them, camera is behind them, a ways back? That the shot you want? If not, I don't have it. On the first image, I have one of Tarkin looking away from Bast as he's speaking and one of him looking at Bast. Which would you prefer? - JMAS Hey, it's me! 14:40, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

WP:TCW again

Hey JMAS. As project head for WP:TCW, I'm trying to get a better idea of who's still interested in participating in our project. If you're still interested in participating, please leave a note on my talk page or contact me in IRC. If you do not respond within a week, I will assume that you are no longer interested in participating. That doesn't mean that your name will be removed from the "Participants" list, but it means that any of your current projects will be removed from the project page so that others have a chance to work on them. Likewise, if you currently have any projects under your belt, I highly encourage you to review them, and if you don't plan on working on them within the next two or three weeks, I recommend reconsidering them. Thanks. Your project head, CC7567 (talk) 05:46, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Your willingness to upload numerous Tales of the Jedi audio files and add them to their respective articles is appreciated more than I can put into words. The fact that you also went above and beyond by adding audio files to articles along the way while working on my initial request has not gone unnoticed either; in my opinoin, your contributions have significantly improved the quality of these articles, and I cannot thank you enough. Fire

Hey there JMAS. I was wondering if it was okay to move this article to a new name of "Fire (character)" or some other variant. The sole reason is so that a new page entitled "Fire" can be created, as in the element. Wookieepedia has water and air, but no fire. Before I create it, however, I'll move it to my sandbox because it seems like a big project. ChEeRs: \.:*§:_JadenKorr13_:§*:./ 00:43, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

  • Well I have no authority to give permission or deny it, but I'd say that sounds fine. You want to keep the article title in universe so it should probably be "Fire (person)". - JMAS Hey, it's me! 00:52, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

Bel and Niner image request

Hey man, I'm sorry that I continually ask you for images but I need a image of Bel and Niner from "Lair of Grievous". After Fil tells both clone troopers to watch after the shuttle, the camera shows both Bel and Niner in a two shot. It's around 2:39 into the episode. JangFett Talk 15:32, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

              • Yes :) I noticed that as well. After Fil points and looks at both clone troopers, I identified them. By the shuttle, Bel is carrying the DC-15A blaster rifle and Niner is contacting Fisto inside the castle. JangFett Talk 00:32, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
