Plot summary
After defeating several droids, Dr. Chelli Lona Aphra opens a mysterious box, revealing 60 explosive, shrink-frozen tookas. Unbeknownst to her, a nearby droid transmitted her image upon deactivation. When Imperial Inspector Magna Tolvan receives the video, she is intrigued by Aphra's new bracelets and orders a ship to pursue her.
Aphra's team takes cover in an old station, but an Imperial starship crashes through the structure. Tolvan and her stormtroopers emerge, but the impact awakens a massive techno-totem monster that attacks everyone. An explosive tooka proves ineffective against it. Amid the chaos, Tolvan confronts Aphra about a past incident that cost her her rank. As the situation becomes desperate, they share a kiss. The creature is finally disabled when a stormtrooper's stray shot brings the ceiling down on it.
In the aftermath, Tolvan tells Aphra that her official file has been altered by someone powerful and asks for her real name. Aphra then helps Tolvan escape. Shortly after, Aphra receives a holographic call from the droid 0-0-0, who orders her to retrieve his memories from Hivebase-1. Aphra explains the location is a nearly impenetrable Tarkin Initiative archive, serving as a gravity anchor for a billion-strong swarm of acid larvae, but Triple-Zero is insistent.
