Bayonet

A bayonet was a sharp blade that could be mounted on the end of a blaster rifle or other long-barreled rifle. Bayonets could be purpose-made to attach to a weapon,^[1] be regular knives attached to rifles by improvised means,^[2] or be built into the weapon itself, as with certain models of bo-rifle.^[3]
