- "We are scanning a large amount of rhydonium on that ship!"
"It's a bomb!" - ―Wilhuff Tarkin and Anakin Skywalker
The Carida incident was the result of a plot by the Confederacy of Independent Systems to load the Renown with enough rhydonium to destroy the space station Valor, which was the site of a Republic strategy conference. The plot was discovered and foiled by D-Squad.[2]

Star Wars: The Clone Wars — "Point of No Return"
- ↑ Star Wars: Timelines establishes that the skirmish on Florrum follows the Carida incident. "Revival" establishes that the skirmish on Florrum was itself immediately preceded by the duel at unidentified Outer Rim spaceport and raid on the Cybloc Transfer Station, thereby placing those two battles after the Carida incident.
