A battle in the Onderon highlands was the last action of the Onderonian Civil War. With supporters of King Ramsis Dendup, including the Royal Onderon Militia and the Onderon rebels, massing in the highlands near the capital city of Iziz, General Kalani of the Separatist Droid Army deployed his forces to meet them. Ultimately, the pivotal battle resulted in heavy casualties on both factions, yet the Onderon loyalists prevailed and successfully defeated Kalani's forces. With the prospect of a prolonged and protracted war on Onderon, Separatist Alliance Head of State Count Dooku ordered the Separatist forces to retreat from Onderon. Kalani then executed King Sanjay Rash, Dooku's puppet, allowing for the transition of power back to Kind Dendup.^[2]
