Sorry for the mess
Hi there! Sorry if I did something wrong with the Faye Marsay/December 30 pages. Somone pointed out to me that her birthday wasn't on there, which insprired the edits. Sorry to be a bother! StarWars7x7 (talk) 20:58, 2 January 2024 (UTC)

First Jedi
Hi, OOM, I saw that page creation for The First Jedi is prohibited. I don't know what the context is, the log doesn't show any information, but per the latest interview from Benioff and Weiss that released today, they were planning their film to be titled The First Jedi and warrants an article. The Blade date
I noticed that the Porter Engle article, one that you are working on, claims that Star Wars: The High Republic — The Blade takes place after the ceasefire in the Eiram and E'ronoh War, as depicted in The High Republic: Convergence. I just want to confirm that that is the case, as both Star Wars: Timelines and Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia date Engle gaining the "Blade of Bardotta" title to before the events of Convergence. ThrawnChiss7 Assembly Cupola 18:28, 15 January 2024 (UTC)
- Heya, the date note for The Blade is correct, but Porter doesn't become the Blade of Bardotta until after the comic's events. They simply set up what happened before his involvement in the siege of Bardotta, which will be explored in the upcoming comic The Broken Blade. OOM 224 (he/him) 19:48, 15 January 2024 (UTC)
- So it's still a contradiction, right? Because The Blade takes place after Convergence, and Character Encylopedia and Timelines dates Engle gaining the Blade of Bardotta title to before the events of Convergence. ThrawnChiss7

Re: Tarkin
Thanks, but please understand that I know that Tarkin had a male lover in canon, hence WHY I called the other users homophobic. The way they changed his page to call him "gay" as the very first sentence was homophobic (at least to me) because (aside from the crude wording) made it seem like being homosexual was more of an identity for him than being the Grand Moff and such. I hope I managed to explain myself better. Timjer (talk) 14:56, 23 January 2024 (UTC) EDIT: Besides, him having a male lover can also mean he's bisexual or pansexual or anything other than heterosexual. So calling him "gay" over that is even more homophobic, IMO. Timjer (talk) 15:09, 23 January 2024 (UTC)
- Er, that's not homophobia. Being bi doesn't mean you're not gay; they're not mutually exclusive terms. And everyone's unique; someone could be attracted to someone of the same gender but prefer not to use the label gay. And different people can have different interpretations of the same story, and they're all valid. That's all I'll say, and I think it's good to familiarise yourself with these terms before you accuse anyone of anything. OOM 224 (he/him) 15:21, 23 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hmm, you've given me some things to think about, so thanks for that at least. But please understand that I really did think the other users were just childishly calling Tarkin "gay" simply because he had a male lover at least once. If I accidentally offended any actual LGBTQ+ people in my attempt to stand up for them, I sincerely apologize. Timjer (talk) 15:26, 23 January 2024 (UTC)

Greer
Rex says "He's gone" about Greer in the beginning of the episode. Why does wookiepedia says he didn't die on that page?
Also, the User:WOLKsite clearly violated 3revert law there. Why did you remove my warning message? There were no insult or personal attac there —Unsigned comment by 162.210.194.2 (talk • contribs)
- I'm not familiar with the episode, but since there's been an edit war over the issue, it should be discussed on Talk:Greer before more edits surrounding the issue are made. Slapping a warning on the user's talk page isn't conductive for a proper discussion, especially when you're reverting them and they never violated 3RR. See also: Wookieepedia:Dispute resolution. Template:'s question
Greetings OOM 224,
If you don't mind me asking a technical (and potentially stupid) question, since you are the latest user to edit/update the template in question. Let's say that there is at least one edit where 's is used within a quote template. Using this as an example:
{{Quote|The ''Thunderer''{{'s}} attack failed.|character|source}}
My question being, would it be considered good form if one uses 's within quotes? I would presume yes, as I have yet to see any errors in my own experimentations, but I figured I'd ask just in case there is a form I'm unfamiliar with. Presuming this is a question worth answering, or if it's bigger than simply one's misunderstanding, let me know. -- CJSFanOn Stranger Tides, Arkham City 23:15, 18 May 2024 (UTC)
- I was aware about its usage to avoid italics and bolded related errors, I just wasn't sure about if the situation ever came to being used within a quote. That is, if the situation ever called for it. But you made it clear that (if so) it may work out. Regarding the signature, I'll see what I can do. Thanks very much! -- J FanOn Stranger Tides 11:15, 19 May 2024 (UTC)
- Bumped into another problem, I figure I'd ask you here rather than start a new thread, presuming that is okay. Anyway, regarding this one file you uploaded, I notice Wook has audio files, some .ogg but this is .mp3 file by comparison. I know Template:SoundSample covers the .ogg files, and the file I linked is .mp3, ergo different, with the Template:Fairuse being used instead. Is this a matter of changing the file, the template, or is this a setup that is continuing development over time? Of course that is what Wook (and all Wiki/Fandom sites) are in general, but I'm asking for the sake of argument. -- J FanOn Stranger Tides 01:41, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
- Ooh, that's interesting. Image file types are to do with the actual file itself, rather than any template on the site, and the file type determines the file suffix (e.g. jpg, png, ogg). We have an Special:AbuseFilter set up to reject any audio files that are not ogg files, per the Wookieepedia:Images#File_formats policy. The filter doesn't stop admins, so it seems like I actually violated policy, haha. We do have an ongoing Forum:SH:Wookieepedia's sound file policy - what are the thoughts on updating it? discussion on opening up audio file uploads to other file formats like mp3, so we might actually do that if the community is in agreement. OOM 224 (he/him/they) 09:17, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
- Ah, that makes sense...sort of. I ran into a similar problem on my end and figured I'd check all the details on this subject before I proceeded on my end. Mostly because of my lack of know-how about the subject of filing, licensing and such, at least in terms of certain audio files. I also have an .mp3 file on my home Wiki which is uploaded/licensed in a way that may be violating usage and maybe affecting ongoing Wiki-doings - that is, technically speaking, presuming said violations are specifically on Wook. My file on my home Wiki works, it plays, I'm just not sure as far as labelings and such. -- J FanOn Stranger Tides 21:46, 16 June 2024 (UTC)

- I appreciate you reaching out. A "war" is a mass conflict between two or more clear factions, and the Jedi at the meeting are heavily implying that they wish to avoid public knowledge about an assassin who could kill Jedi; in other words, a scandal. OOM 224 (he/him/they) 19:38, 26 June 2024 (UTC)
Stranger Affiliation
Hiya just wondering, since you were the remover of the affiliation section of the Stranger article, that you were aware of the Entertainment Weekly article just released in which Manny Jacinto referred to his character as a Sith Lord. Would that constitute enough proof that he is a Sith, since it came from the actor himself and not the magazine. O21014 (talk) 20:09, 26 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hiya, I'd say no, because no official source has given us a definitive answer. I think the episode was intentionally vague about this, being a mystery thriller, leaving it down to our own interpretations; it would prudent for the wiki not to say anything definitive in case others elsewhere quote us on it. I do think that instances like the actor or audio description referring to the character as a Sith should be noted in the "Behind the scenes" section though. Rise and Fall of the GE - Vader Supreme Commander
I've already asked about this here, but since I got no answer there after some time I've thought of asking you. The YouTube channel VadersOrder did a video on Vader's position in the Imperial Military and in a comment he mentioned that since the video there had been an update: Vader's EU rank of Supreme Commander had been canonized in The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire:
"UPDATE: In the recent canon novel that was just released (literally just a few days after this video was uploaded) titled The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire Vader's rank has been updated to "supreme commander" in Canon as well! Will make an updated video soon, but he was given this rank shortly before the events of Episode V!"the EU title of "Supreme Commander" has been canonized in The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire'".
I put a comment asking for a passage where Vader was called Supreme Commander, but got no answer. Do you happen to own the book, and if you do, could you verify this? The book's still not in any bookstores near me so I can't buy it and check for myself. The only thing that lends credence to the possibility is that I've read the book canonized other EU stuff: it mentioned Dromund Kaas and Kinman Doriana for one. And yeah, as you well know from the "Commander-in-Chief Vader issue" I've never been a fan of the rankless/title-less Canon Vader interpretation (the EU take with Vader holding a formal position like the rest of Sidious' servants seems to go better with what a proper military chain-of-command should be; even the latest encyclopedias say that Vader was a "military commander") Let me know.Alex of Star Wars (talk) 12:24, 15 August 2024 (UTC)
Hello! The user Charlottek131 has been harassing my best friend StarWarsFanGirl8000 (vandalism/technically raiding)
So the user Charlotte (https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/User:Charlottek131) came from The Taylor Swift Wiki with the intention of attacking Sabrina for dni'ing her on the TSWIKI. For context, Charlotte body shamed the woman Meghan Trainor and harassed me countltess times on a post for sharing the most recent song you're listening to. Many users found out about this and started dni'ing (aka blocking people from texting you) her. Sabrina (StarWarsFanGirl8000) was one of many who dni'd her, Charlotte didn't like this and joined this wiki to only vandalize her talk page his rude comments showing that she is not sorry (i cleared those). I really hope you will be able to do something about this because It's really disrespectful to my friend. P3ppr0 (talk) 02:47, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
Reply:Backstroke of the West
Hi! I am sorry to hear that. However, I thought it should qualify as it is by far the most well-known and popular bootleg of any Star Wars movie, plus it is not really fan-made, as it was done by a whole production team and released on DVD or VHS in China, so it is a semi-official dub. Furthermore it has its own IMDb page, separate from the original movie itself ( https://www.imdb.com/title/tt18183916/ ), has its own subreddit with over 16k members, and I could go on. Reading the guideline, guess it should pass requirement #2 (mainstream recognition). But again, it's your choice. Thank you for notifying me. XXLVenom998 (Surprise me!) 12:54, 9 October 2024 (UTC)

About the Stouker Concussion rifle
Hello there. I see you revoked my contribution to the Stouker's page. So, I wanted to explain myself : I happens to have Jedi Academy on my Playstation 5 (via playstation store) and played it again today. Using the rifle during one of the lasts missions : the one in the crumbling Jedi Tomb. that's how I discovered that little tidbit : By shooting not directly on target, but right on their sides or just behind them before they saw me, they didn't redirect the shots and were thrown out of platforms, directly into chasms. On the other hand, even while not in battle, shooting directly at them made them redirect the shot right at me. I tried it thrice in multiples settings and it worked everytimes. That's why I thought I could put it on-site, but if it's troublesome, I will not do it again.—Unsigned comment by MontanaMa10 (talk • contribs)
- Heya, apologies for the late reply. The reason I reverted that was because the article body isn't really for detailing game mechanics but simply the in-universe information that we know about the Star Wars universe. I hope this makes sense. OOM 224 (he/him/they) 18:46, 30 October 2024 (UTC)

Princess
Thanks so much for creating the Princess article. This is long overdue. Given the Star Wars franchise and Wookieepedia's commitment to gender equality, it is not right that the Princess article has redirected to Prince and Prince/Legends for a long time. Let me know if you need help with redirecting. I'm busy but will see if I can find some time. Andykatib 10:56, 11 December 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you! I'm not sure if you've seen, but this is the result of Forum:CT:Separate nobility titles by gender, so it's not just me, haha. - Thanks for letting me know about the consensus track. Good to see progress in separating nobility tiles by gender on a community level. Will leave the bots to handle the rest.
