Article moved to subpage

Hello, NotMorley! You'll now find your list of armor sets as a user subpage, User:NotMorley/List of armor sets. If you ever want to create additional personal workbenches/sandboxes, here's a quick link that will create a new one as User:NotMorley/Workbench ("Workbench" can be another word/phrase). You can also experiment with editing in the Jundland Wastes. Immi Thrax RainbowRebellion2 (she/her) 17:49, 12 November 2022 (UTC)

Awry

Hey there! My name is DFaceG and I'm a longtime editor to the Wook. I really appreciate your help in setting up articles for the Jedi Survivor content, they're all shaping up well. I was just curious about one thing, and this is only out of curiosity, I'm not planning on reverting the edits: Why do you feel "awry" is too informal for Wookieepedia? While "wrong" is certainly still correct for the context in which you replaced it, we're no strangers to using synonyms or alternative words to describe things, and "awry" isn't really slang or a dialectical term as far as I'm aware, so I'm merely curious about your thought process on the matter.

Thanks! - Thannus (DFaceG) (he/him) (talk) 20:15, 7 February 2023 (UTC)

  • Hi Thannus! Figured out how to use the Talk page I think.

In my opinion 'awry' is just a bit more colourful than is necessary. I appreciate that it came verbatim from the narrator, which is why it was used, but I think had it not, then 'wrong' would have been used instead. It is just a more straight-forward way of putting it. So perhaps 'informal' was the wrong reason to give to change it, however I have been grilled by professors recently for using similar words in essays (granted, Wookiepedia is a lot less strict on language!), so I was on high alert at the time!

That said, I do believe 'awry' is a colloquial term of a lower register than might be found elsewhere of the wiki. Basically, I just think 'wrong' works better. Let me know what you think though!

Cloud-Riders

Hi, I noticed you added an Inuse to Cloud-Riders. If you don't mind, I'd like to add a source to the page. UberSoldat93 ClanMudhornSignet-Redemption (talk) 17:00, 13 March 2024 (UTC)

Moving page

Heya. I appreciate your good intentions, but please don't move pages into another user's userspace in the future. If you believe a page doesn't belong as a mainspace article, you can simply leave a {{Delete}} template on it and admins can handle the rest :) OOM 224 (he/him/they) 23:12, 28 November 2024 (UTC)

Armor sets subpage

Just an head's up that File:ElitePykeGuard-BOBFCE.jpg has been marked for deletion and replaced with higher quality File:ElitePykeGuard-BOBFCE.png if you'd like to update it on your armor page. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 04:00, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
