In 382 BBY,[2] Jedi Knight Porter Engle was involved in[4] the five-days' long[3] siege of Bardotta, fighting hundreds of mercenaries and pirates on the planet Bardotta. The feat earned him the title "Blade of Bardotta[4]
Behind the scenes
The in-universe book Chronicles of the Jedi, written by Jedi Master Harli Cogra, incorrectly states that Barash Silvain took her vow after her plan to help the people of Bardotta failed and many died as a result during the siege.[4] A similar set of events, though not on Bardotta, but on Gansevor, was later established in Star Wars: The High Republic — The Blade to be the reasoning for why Silvain undertook the vow. The series also established that Engle only traveled to Bardotta after his sister had taken the vow.[1]
