Greetings all! I am J Fan, but many know me as CJSFan. While I've been to many Wikis, I am mainly known at POTC Wiki.

I officially joined Wikia as "CJSFan" on April 4, 2010 and have had fun ever since! My main domain Wiki-wise is POTC Wiki(yea, I'm a huge Pirates nerd lol), while I briefly contribute to other Wikis, like add images, make any suggestions, etc. I've been a Wiki user since 2010, and have been making as many great contributions at Wiki ever since...particularly of course: POTC Wiki!

On March 2012, I decided to change my username to "J Fan" as I had a revelation of being both a POTC and Batman nerd...and loving the two big characters that start with "J"(Jack Sparrow for POTC, Joker for Batman lol). I have made a few contributions to DC-related wikis(DC Animated and Batman Wiki), so I think that'll help me very much. And to answer this question "what are we going to call you now?": you can call me whichever of these names you like(J Fan is now my official Wiki name; but as I said LOTS of people know me as "CJSFan").

Unfortunately, I won't be able to help out much regarding the Star Wars universe. While my current and only knowledge (so far) comes from the movies as well as several series, it isn't as good as what someone else can contribute. I have played several of the video games, but my knowledge depends on the game and I'm pretty sure some (if not all) are non-canonical. Despite all that, I will try my best to contribute whether it's cleaning up some info, fixing a misquote, or if there's something I feel needed be posting. Brief Star Wars-Fan Talk

Depending on who you speak to, I could be considered a fan of Star Wars. Sad to say, I didn't really get into the universe until 2005(dun dun dun)...and worse, it was after I watched Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. I know, but tis better to love the series one way than no way, right? Before then, I know I played the 2005 Revenge of the Sith video game previously, I know I got spoiled on that spoiler which was referenced everywhere, and I want to say I saw bits and pieces of the 2003 Clone Wars animated series; otherwise I may have only seen bits and pieces of the films (rather than in a full viewing) somewhere in my early life. Anyhow, after several years, I have so far enjoyed all 6 films and the two Clone Wars series. If you were to ask me years ago on who my favorite characters were, I would probably have say only Jedi or Sith characters(because let's be honest, people love Jedi and Sith). Now I can probably say more characters like several bounty hunters, senators, maybe even droids.

Interestingly enough, my enjoyment of the Star Wars universe grows, with the computer animated Clone Wars series giving me more knowledge to work with as well as numerous stories and character to enjoy...despite the belief that it's contradicting "canon". My view on Star Wars canon, the 6 films and the tv series are canon - everything else is ambiguous for the time being, depending on the source. But then I'm not able to delve as deep into Star Wars compared to others...so I guess it's fine as long as this Wiki's around.

Honestly, I can go on about what I could geek over, but I probably wouldn't have time to say much than all that.

Episode VII

Like many other Star Wars fans, I'm definitely interested in seeing where the saga goes. However, I'm iffy on how it will play out with Lucas not being the writer or director, as well as the fact that Disney now owns Lucasfilm. But given that Lucas is a creative consultant(don't think that's too far from his Exec Producer in the Clone Wars series), I'm sure it won't affect things too much. At this time, as far as I know, there is no official plot synopsis, confirmed cast, etc. Despite this, I'm sure Episode VII will be a decent, if not great, installment of the Star Wars saga.

Post-Sequel Trilogy

Well, having watched all three films of the Sequel Trilogy, I can safely say that it was not the best of Star Wars. I admit that I do like Episode VII The Force Awakens the best of this trilogy, I don't think VIII The Last Jedi was as bad as most fans would say, and Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker was fairly entertaining for the most part. That being said, the change in directors and direction in general ruined the films for me. It was clear that the films were not made properly, in that there was no clear plan behind how the story needed to be told, unlike George Lucas' saga which clearly felt like he knew where he wanted to go in his storylines...even though he obviously didn't plan every little detail (i.e. Luke and Leia being siblings) and of course his last three films were prequels, but let's forget those facts.

Now, bringing up Star Wars in the Disney+ era. I didn't get there on the first few months, but I eventually got into the streaming service, like many fans. Dare I say it was a good deal with all the content available, new and old, including the Star Wars content. I enjoyed the first season of The Mandalorian and I was super excited when I learned The Clone Wars seventh and final season was coming soon. Luckily, I was able to catch up on everything that came before, partly thanks to the COVID pandemic at the time. I rewatched The Clone Wars as a refresher as well as binge-watching Star Wars Rebels, which I had not watched. Needless to say, I enjoyed every minute of my Star Wars binge, learning about what is technically and currently canon (good or bad, I'll leave it to you) for right now. Finally caught up in time to watch the series finale episode of the final season of The Clone Wars certainly made this May 4th a day long remembered, and worth remembering. Unfortunately, I did face personal tragedy with a close family member/father figure who passed away months later; 2020 the gift that keeps on giving. He enjoyed The Mandalorian and was fairly interested in the animated series, specifically Rebels oddly enough.

Despite the recent tragedy, I keep trying to enjoy what I had and was about to get, though it was hard because it was hard to enjoy the new content myself. Or even rewatching the older stuff I love so much. The Mandalorian season two would've particularly been exciting to watch, and I think The Book of Boba Fett would've been enjoyable but I'm not sure how he'd feel about it. One thing is for sure, he would not be happy about Gina Carano's firing. Regardless, I personally have enjoyed almost everything that's come out so far from both series, though I'm sure it's debatable among fans. Obi-Wan Kenobi was probably the most intriguing of the series thus far, even though there are some complaints (both quality and continuity-wise) that I'm sure are to be made. Still, the return of Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, and James Earl Jones in their iconic roles sold it for me...but again, debatable. Overall, I haven't had much issue with most series thus far.

Bottom line, I am hopeful for the future, but needless to say, I feel like the best of Star Wars was George Lucas' saga (Episodes IV-VI and yes even I-III), The Clone Wars and Rebels series, and perhaps the first two seasons of The Mandalorian. The rest I'm sure will be depending on one's tastes, and for me, it's been mostly good but far from perfect. You would have to ask me for a more direct opinion. Let me be clear and say as of Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker (maybe beyond that), I love all Star Wars movies equally and do not have many criticisms or hard feelings for the majority of them. The Star Wars series starting with the Sequel Trilogy is not the best, in my opinion, but it is indeed far from the worst so far. We'll see how things play out in the future. Until then, this is my ranking of all the films.
