Cleanup

Hey Imperators! I just nominated Skirmish in Yinta Lake spaceport for good article status and you put a cleanup template on there. If you could please let me know what's wrong with it as soon as possible I'd appreciate it. thanks! Cal JediInfinite Empire (Personal Comm Channel) 21:35, June 16, 2011 (UTC)

I don't mean to be a bother, but it's been over a week since I fixed your objection on Skirmish in Yinta Lake spaceport. Could you please check it again? Cal JediInfinite Empire (Personal Comm Channel) 22:28, June 25, 2011 (UTC)

Cookie

WookieecookieI usually don't give out the Cookie unless I see someone doing something who I feel really deserves one, and I'm impressed at your ongoing work with the Super-Terrific Wookiee-Tastic Year-Article Sourcing Beautification Project. The fervor of the project itself has sort of died off, but you're the one I continually see making an effort to bring the project as close to completion as humanly possible. So, as the creator of the project, and as a Wookieepedian, my thanks go out to you. Please accept this award as a token of my gratitude and as recognition of your diligence. Good work. Toprawa and Ralltiir 18:39, June 28, 2011 (UTC)
  • Allow me to second that gratitude above. (: –Tm_T (Talk) 19:22, June 28, 2011 (UTC)
    • Thank you for the recognition! Though I hope the project will only die off when it's more or less completed. :D Imperators II(Talk) 13:17, June 29, 2011 (UTC)

Category:Battles

Hello Imperators II,

I am impressed by your reorganiztion of the battles category. You really cleaned that up since the last time I looked at it. The work you did must have taken considerable time and patience to accomplish. I just think that you deserve an award for your hard work.

WookieecookieFor your work on the battles category.

Farewell and keep up the good work.

Liberation of Kashyyyk

All the sources place the Liberation of Kashyyyk in 4 ABY, including TEA (p 196). Hk 47 10:07, July 12, 2011 (UTC)

  • You are right for p 72 but p 195 confirm also 4 ABY. According to the fleets movments on the map 4 aby is more logical. And there is also The New Essential Chronology that states it 8 month after Endor (always 4 aby).Hk 47 10:07, July 12, 2011 (UTC)

Article about Kaan

Why did you revert my edit of Kaan? It now says that he was once a Jedi. The only source that was cited was a very poor one, Dark Forces: Jedi Knight. The book uses the term "Jedi" questionably. It was revealed that Jerec was once a Jedi, but this has nothing to do with Kaan. Just because there are sources that reveal that Jerec was once a Jedi, it is only speculation that Kaan was, because no source that doesn't use the term questionably says that Kaan was. I was not trying to remove facts, which is vandalism. I was just trying to remove speculation and a source citation based on speculation. Please remove all references of Kaan being a Jedi or add a template for possible speculation. 173.51.117.61 23:35, July 16, 2011 (UTC)

/* judicial forces */

The information i added is correct and does have validated credentials to reinforce it. The units alreadey listed in the article and the two i have added which are the republic security force and the judicials both come from the same source which is the star wars data bank. And your comment that wookieepedia is not a source is true but if it says in the article at least 3 times which it does that the republic security force and the judicials are a part of the judicial department then i dont think you need to be so paranoid and insecure and think it is lying. 21 BBY

Hey, Imperators, just wanted to tell you that the anon edit in 21 BBY was correct. Since we're not sure when certain TCW battles take place, our best option we have right now is to place them c. 21 BBY or in 21 BBY, per the Star Wars Annual 2011 magazine. Hope that helps. :) JangFett (Talk) 19:30, October 1, 2011 (UTC)

  • The Battle of Mon Calamari (non conjecture name) is already a battle during the Clone Wars. As for the newest /Second battle of Mon Calamari/, just because there isn't a "Battle of Mon Calamari" in 21 BBY does not mean there should be one. Like any other second or repeated battle on a planet, it's proper to keep its conjectural title name until a source establishes its official name to avoid confusion. JangFett (Talk) 18:15, October 4, 2011 (UTC)
    • Yes, the current article title is correct and fine. In the article, however, the behind the scenes section should have "Second battle of Mon Calamari" because saying "Battle" would indiciate it's a confirmed title, which is false. The intro would normally be "A battle took place…" to also show that the article's name is conjecture. This happens quite a lot for TCW and this Mon Calamari battle isn't the first. :P JangFett (Talk) 18:23, October 4, 2011 (UTC)
      • Basically it's been this way for all of the TCW articles and probably even before TCW. I would say go for it and change the article's name until a source establishes its official canonical name, but because we have the {{Conjecture}} template, personally I don't really see the need of moving the article. JangFett (Talk) 18:48, October 4, 2011 (UTC)

Hutta

Hey Imp, thanks for adding in the Crystal Cave skirmish. I had forgotten about that. But I wanted to ask you—what was the Mission to Hutta that you added? I don't recall any unique event to that effect. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 18:55, October 8, 2011 (UTC)

  • Also, I noticed that you were the one who stated the Annexation of Kiffu was a conflict of the Cold War; while I don't doubt that, I'm not able to confirm it myself because I can't find my Fatal Alliance copy at the moment. Could you perhaps provide a quote for the article or point me to the specific passage that confirms its placement during the Cold War? Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 19:02, October 8, 2011 (UTC)
    • Haha woops, I totally forgot about that. Well thanks for the info, on both accounts! Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 20:00, October 8, 2011 (UTC)

2 ABY

Thanks for correcting my formatting earlier. After reviewing that edit, I noticed that I had forgotten to update the sources, and was missing punctuation in the references section. Why did you remove the source I added? That article needs more sources, and that is a valid source. I'm also confused about your removal of the periods in the references; I realized that I had left them out when reviewing your edit, but then you took them back out again. References are supposed to have periods after them if there is any other text beyond the title of the work. --Matthias777 19:08, December 16, 2011 (UTC)

  • Thanks for the quick reply! I admit that I am new to editing Wookieepedia, so please forgive my misunderstanding on the Sources vs. Appearances issue. As to the punctuation when utilizing comprehensive reference formatting, I have been following the precedent of Eyrezer, an admin who has used comprehensive referencing in his edits. This is also the accepted form of punctuation for comprehensive referencing in general works, as well as on other wikis---if one refers to Wikipedia, for instance. Based on this, I would like to change the punctuation in that article back to include the periods at the end of the reference. In my humble opinion, the aforementioned method of formatting comprehensive references is the de facto standard, and we should both attempt to correct references to this format whenever we see them formatted otherwise. Please let me know your thoughts. --Matthias777 20:05, December 16, 2011 (UTC)

3,955 and Revan

Hey there, Imp. You added an update tag saying that 3,955 BBY was mentioned in Revan and it's now up with the AC again. You didn't say what the context of the mention was though, so I can't fix it myself (or find someone to since I don't own that yet). Could you tell me what it was or do it yourself, if it's not a major thing, so we can save the article? NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo 21:31, December 17, 2011 (UTC)

"Our time has come."
Hello <insert name here>! So, it's been a little over three months since The Old Republic was released, and WookieeProject: The Old Republic, which was founded almost two years ago now, was in dire need of a revamp and update. Participation has slumped, but it's time to get back on the wagon and refocus our efforts. So here are some stats: currently, we have ten Featured Articles, thirty-one Good Articles, and thirty-four Comprehensive Articles. Cal Jedi and Coruscantfan have both been doing great work lately, but we need more users to start undertaking projects from the game and related materials. Comprehensive articles are a great way to get started, so take a leap, pick an article, and get crackin'.

Beyond status articles, there are a few other ways you can help WP: TOR with it's primary goals. Those of you who have a current subscription to the game are welcome to visit our new guild page, where we're setting up in-game groups to help catalogue and confirm information here on Wookieepedia. Aside from that, our article lists can always use expansions. We have some fun new programs and challenges coming to WP:TOR in the future, so take a look at our news and discussion area for updates, and always remember to add any of your new status article successes to the news board.
If you have any questions or comments, head on over to the forums or let me know on my talk page. Take a look around the updated project page, and happy hunting! Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 09:56, March 11, 2012 (UTC)

Havoc Squad(ron)

Hey Imperators, I've been meaning to talk to you about Havoc Squad's article. Although I understand that it is called a "squadron" once in Deceived, the game itself consistently refers to it as "Havoc Squad." A squad and a squadron are two very different things, so assuming that one is an abbreviation for the other would be incorrect. Given that the game itself is the more recent release, and that the term "squad" makes more sense given the unit's composition and role, the article should really be at "Havoc Squad." Ref Tags

Hey Imperators, I was wondering if you could answer a question for me. What's the difference between a ref tag and a Ref|ref tag? I understand ones like {TORCite, but this one just seems to do the same thing with more words. Thanks. —Cade Calrayn 13:59, March 23, 2012 (UTC)

Hi! This might be to much to ask but I'll ask anyway. :p I know this was a while ago, but do you remember why you added the Expand template to Outbound Flight (starship)? I might be willing to work on it if I knew what needed worked on. Thanks!- Princess GLG 21:42, April 9, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Ashla

Ashla is not mentioned anywhere in the conversation files, and as far as I remember only one moon appears in the cutscene where the Jedi Knight's shuttle approaches the planet in the very beginning of the game, so the most you could probably say is that it was either Ashla or Bogan. Good luck! Cade Calrayn GalacticRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit 15:08, September 6, 2012 (UTC)

Halthor system

I just cracked open my Atlas appendix (last updated, three days ago} and op page 31, I see the Halthor system, in the Halthor sector, in the Outer Rim Territories, with the grid coordinates of L-6. Was the Atlas updated again and that information removed? Trak Nar Ramble on 08:34, October 19, 2012 (UTC)

  • Three days ago, I was checking some articles that had been marked for deletion. I didn't find their information in my Atlas appendix, so I asked MJ and he said it was in there, so I went and updated my Atlas. Its last update was in September, if I recall, but I had last downloaded it in May, so mine was out of date. Trak Nar Ramble on 08:42, October 19, 2012 (UTC)

Re:Ashla and Syo

  • Ashla:
    • pg. 286: "For thousands of years, the Jedi's ancestors—the Je'daii—studied the ways of the Balanced Force, which encompassed both the light and dark sides of the Force as exemplified by Tython's two moons, Ashal and Bogan.
  • Syo: the exact words from the Codex are that Bakarn was "part of the delegation to the Jedi Temple during the Sacking of Coruscant" - which doesn't make any sense, as any Jedi in the Temple died, and there is no reason for a delegation from the Order to be sent to the Order's headquarters. It's an error - the Alderaan peace summit was held in a High Temple, I believe. Cade Calrayn GalacticRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit 16:10, October 20, 2012 (UTC)

Project Astrography

Hi Imperators! Thanks for keeping the Project Astrography CA list up to date—I've been meaning to fix that, but somehow never got around to do it... When adding new articles to the portfolio pages, just make sure that you update the article count as well. I've updated it to include the articles you added to the CA list, but it would be easier if the same person did both at once, so that we can avoid mix-ups the best we can. :) Cheers, Tinwe(comlink) 12:35, November 22, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Ando

Hey, Imperators. Good to see that you're still hanging around. Haven't talked with you in quite a while. :P Anyway, I'll try my best to look for that, but the computer I play Racer on isn't available to me at the moment. I'll see if I can get a look at it some place else, though, asap. Cheers.—Cal JediInfinite Empire (Personal Comm Channel) 21:07, November 30, 2012 (UTC)

  • Okay, I've taken a look at it. From what I can tell, it isn't in there. It's not on any menu screens that I can tell, and I didn't notice anyone directly referencing it. When you're racing on Ando, it is daylight, so I suppose that's an indirect reference to it. However, I can't actually find it in the sky. Due to the graphics, it's not too easy to find anything in the background. AFAIK, though, it isn't in there directly. Hope that helps out some.—Cal JediInfinite Empire (Personal Comm Channel) 22:07, November 30, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Ando

Hey Imperators. Unfortunately, I don't have access to the majority of my collection and I won't until I go back for the holidays. If I recall right, Ando Prime and the Battle of Ando Prime were the closest that the book got in mentioning things related to Ando (the star), but I'm not entirely sure. Sorry about that—someone else on the site might have access to the book. You might try asking Jinzler; he has at least one of the Decide Your Destiny books if I remember correctly. Hey Imperator II. I checked for a mention or an appearance in Star Wars: Anakin's Speedway, but I couldn't find any. You really can't see the skies since you have a strange type of "helicopter view" of the tracks, and there is no mention of Ando Prime's sun in game quotes. Sorry this turned out to be unsuccessful!
