User page fanfiction policy

I was planning on making a fanfiction subpage so I checked the policies, and it turns out that I need 250 words or less. That hardly seems enough to have a good fanfiction. I know that it is kinda generous and it could be none allowed, but still. Why does it matter so much if a user's personal fanfiction on their user page or subpage has over 250 words, what's on it, and how many pictures are on it (this also applies to user images in general)? Isn't it their user page/subpage and what's on there won't really affect the wiki or other users. And yes I know about the Fanon Wiki if I can't be allowed to do it on here. This is meant to prevent users from focusing too much on their userpages and fanfiction (the latter of which is perfectly at home at the SW Fanon wiki) as opposed to constructive editing which is Wookieepedia's primary focus. Imperators II^(Talk) 10:08, February 22, 2020 (UTC)

I get that I really do, but 250 words hardly enough words for a fanfiction and all the links we might need as well as the information and etc. is on here. It would be a whole lot easier linking the pages we need on here rather than on the Fanon Wiki. What if there was a happy medium? Like maybe increase the number of words to 500 or maybe more? Or maybe checking on the users who create their own fanfictions so they aren’t spending all/most of their time editing their fanfictions and warning them that they will delete or lock it if they don’t start editing more constructively again? Behind the Magic

Hey, Imperators! I saw that you added Star Wars: Behind the Magic as a dating reference on Blumfruit tart. I don't have a copy of BtM, but from what I've seen, it appears to only date Caravan of Courage to 3 ABY, not the entire Ewoks series. Does BtM actually mention the show? Awesome, thanks. I also found a screenshot of the BtM timeline. It lists ESB events under 3 ABY, and a separate 3.5 section lists events from SotE and the Ewoks TV movies. I'm guessing that's what the forum post was referring to. - Cwedin^(talk) 17:29, March 4, 2020 (UTC)

Sith Affiliations

How is it inappropriate to add Sith Order and Sith Academy category? As I've said before, there are individuals in the Empire that are not Sith and having the category would let users know that they're Sith. In the past other users were against it because the Sith Academy cat. was on the infobox not in general besides one user. The community stated that I shouldn't add the Sith Academy category if there was nothing else, but more relevantly if they were staff members of the academy such as Overseers and etc. which is what I did, so there shouldn't even be any problem with them. As to the "community's will", I know this wiki emphasizes the community's will and all, but people disagreeing or not liking a particular idea or action doesn't necessarily mean it is wrong or unnecessary. Duplicate categories

Also, would the other objects section of the infobox template include any astronomical objects unconfirmed of their locations in the region? Like take Byss (Canon) in the Deep Core region. It's an unidentified astronomical object belonging to that region, would it be considered an other object in the Deep Core or would it just not be listed in the infobox? - I'm currently working on the Outer Rim Territories article, in the infobox for the region's other objects, and I'm worried about someone making an edit while I'm working, resulting in an edit conflict and me losing my progress. Would I be able to temporarily add a WIP tag so people refrain from making minor edits? New Infobox Template

Hey! I was wondering if it were possible if we could create a new infobox template. My reasons for proposing this are because, lately, I've been seeing various articles for trooper classifications with the Organization infobox template (i.e. Clone trooper variations, Stormtrooper variants, and variants of the Rebel soldier), and have been pondering on whether or not we, instead of using the Organization template for these articles, create a Trooper Class/Classification template or something of the sorts for the articles. It would seemingly be better because trooper variants are not essentially a type of organization. Please reflect your opinions on this matter and explain whether or not we should proceed with this.
