Adding picture problems (please answer!)
Not to be rude, but the admins on this wiki are kind of ignorant. I have asked this question to two other admins and am yet to get an answer. Hopefully you will read this and respond, which I am highly hoping for.
My problem is that when I try to upload an image, it won't let me. I click the "choose file" button, find the picture, open it and then click the "upload" button. Nothing happens for a second, and then the address of what I was uploading dissapears and it goes back to "no file chosen". Do you know why that is, because it doesn't happen on any other wikis I edit.
Please, please, please respond, --— Emitewiki2 (talk) 01:22, March 30, 2012 (UTC)
Thanks, but shouldn't it work if I'm not on the uploading page?
I doesn't work when I click the File: photo button either.

The image is saved to my computer. :/ *sigh* Oh well, mabey I'll go ask Community Central wiki about it. Thanks for the help though! — Emitewiki2 (talk) 01:37, March 30, 2012 (UTC)

12,000 BBY
Hey. A recent update to the GA 12,000 BBY resulted in the removal of the entire BTS. Since you haven't scheduled the next AC meeting yet, I thought I'd let you know so you can include it on the list of articles to be reviewed when you do schedule the meeting. The word count is fine at 255, not counting the bulleted "notable events" section. —MJ— Jedi Council Chambers Friday, April 6, 2012, 04:20 UTC

Warfare mess...
Hello, Floyd. Hope you're doing well. I wanted to you to know that I updated all of the articles that related to the start of the Alsakan Conflicts and the fiasco that it created with the publication of Warfare. I left a detailed explanation on Toprawa's talk page, if you are interested. Simply, put: Great Manifest Period, Indecta Era, 17,018 BBY, 17,012 BBY, and 17,000 BBY all reflect the proper dates and sources. The first is an FA, the last a GA. - Sorry to make your workload heavier, but just a reminder that Dagon Niriz, Anti-Sith conspiracy, Atton Rand, Callista Ming, Elom, and Great Sith War all need to be archived from the RFAN page (and replaced by six new ones) now that they're on probation. - Scratch Great Sith War; that should have been removed last month. I'll remove it from the list now. Be sure to take care of the other five as part of the post-meeting 53 paperwork, though. Menkooroo (talk) 07:06, November 12, 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry to keep bugging you about this, but it does need to be done. At meeting 42 last summer, we determined that IRC consensus (particularly at an INQ meeting) can remove a nom from the RFAN page, and that an FA shouldn't be put on probation until it's been removed from the RFAN page --- removing probed noms from the RFAN page thus became part of post-meeting paperwork. It shouldn't take too long; let me know if you have any questions. Menkooroo (talk) 01:09, November 19, 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for your help and support with Mitth'ras'safis. I still have a bee in my brain concerning that article, and I was hoping maybe you could help me solve it. The New Essential Guide to Characters says Csilla is Thrawn's homeplanet, but the book was published years before anyone knew he had a brother, so it makes no mention of Thrass. I've been reading this policy over and over again, but I'm still not sure if or if not saying "Csilla was Thrawn's homeplanet, so it was also the homeplanet of his brother" is considered to be original research, or if statement like that falls into the category of "straightforward mathematical calculations [and] logical deductions" mentioned in the policy. For me it stands to reason, they are from the same planet, but then again we know not all siblings share a homeplanet.--Dionne Jinn (Something to say?) 11:09, November 21, 2012 (UTC)

Bail "Dunbar" Antilles
Hello FLOYD. Recently I've been working on the Bail Antilles article in the framework of our politics Barn-Burner. I don't think it will be ready before the end of the year, however, since the 31st of December will be a quite busy day. However, I'd like to have your opinion about the article before I actually nominate it. Of course, I'm not asking for a pre-nom review since time is running short, but your opinion and general advice as an Inquisitor would be very appreciated. Do you think I could take the risk to FAN Bail Antilles in its current state? Regards. --LelalMekha (talk) 14:40, December 30, 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you for your answer. Well, that "legacy" paragraph is a tricky thing. I've been wondering whether I should have it or not. There is no certainty that those other Bail Antilles are direct references. Additionally, "Antilles"—or at least the Corellian Antilles—seems to be the "Jones" of the Star Wars universe, although "Bail" doesn't seem too common. Perhaps I should just remove it. --LelalMekha (talk) 01:59, December 31, 2012 (UTC)

Status of Fringers Disputed
Admiral Noma Sommos, inactive since her injuries following the collapse of the line in the Outer Rim, filed an official complaint from her field hospital at Wayland over the growing presence of fringers, or freelance traespeople, in naval groups.
"The combat and spacelift duties of the navy are inconsistent with providing protection for irregular an unaffiliated units," the complaint said.
Provisioning problems for ground units had begun to attract more fringers even before the Mandalorian onslaught. Sommos cited the logistical complications of running a modern navy in her request to the Republic for relief.
"Fringers will always be with us as long as there are armies to feed," said Catronus Steffans, defense official for the Republic. "The greater question is whether we wish to abandon the commercial opportunities this Republic is known for in the name of military expedience. We must remember what we're fighting for, after all."
That's all the report has on Steffans. Man, brings me back… this was one of the comic's best features. Let me know if you need anything else, I'm happy to help.—Jedi Kasra ("Indeed.") 04:40, March 25, 2013 (UTC)

Hey Floyd. I was wondering if you could take a look at the Horak-mul article, which you took to GA status a while ago. Since the recent community vote lowering the maximum GA word count from 3000 to 1000 I'm trying to get as many 1000+ word GAs to FA status and the Horak-mul article is one of them. Inq reviewing tutorial
Hey Floyd. As per discussion at Inq Meeting 56, I've started to write a draft for what will eventually become the Inquisitorius' tutorial guide for new reviewers. It can be accessed here. I haven't had as much time as I would like to work on it recently, so there are still some sections that have yet to be written, but I've started off with trying out some basic organization with the current sections. Please feel free to jump in, either by writing new stuff for the guide or commenting on/adjusting what's already there.
Every current member of the Inq will eventually have to approve the guide in its entirety, so getting involved with its development would be great, sooner rather than later. The talk page can be used to discuss ideas about organization, sectioning, content, you name it. Let me know if you have any questions, and your contributions are appreciated! Message to the Inquisitor from Engineer Qualus Sorrel, titled "Horak-Mul":
- My lord,
- We've examined the markings on Horak-Mul's sarcophagus. It's a nearly complete record of his achievements. It's all here: the Subjugation of the False Apprentice; Horak-Mul's great loyalty to Ludo Kressh; even the naval battle above Khar Delba, where Horak-Mul was killed by the Sadow'een. Amazing! And being buried on Yavin Four suggests he had followers in secret who survived the battle.
- But we've found no trace of the ancient signs of his office. We know the Eye of Horak-Mul was seized by the Jedi centuries ago, but we were hoping to find the remains of his ceremonial robe or the tablets he created alongside Dor Gal-ram. At least we have the sarcophagus.
- Your servant,
- Qualus Sorrel
- That's it; I don't think I missed anything from this message when I added the stuff. His name capitalized in the text files, but the more recent Star Wars: The Old Republic Encyclopedia has it "Horak-mul". Cade

I Find your lack of Information Disturbing
Good day. Yes, I am the one who you have blocked recently. It was over my protest against Wookieepedia's policy to leave "outdated" discussions on articles alone without responding with more input. I am now done with this protest. I tried to inform those who most often tried to stop me that I would stop, but to consider if honestly it was what they wanted. And I told them with their decision (to side with my arguments or to side with the system) to bring it to the Administrator's. Unfortunately, I provoked them. I meant that it was at an end unless they realized how true my arguments were. But I failed to express myself, and for that, I am sorry. However, now I must share with you how this all started.
Apparently, some time ago, there were two bickering editors on the talk page for the Geonosian article. One, who had some kind of degree in graphic art, proposed mentioning how the game makers for Star Wars: Republic Commando featured adjusted aesthetic designs for battle droids, trandoshans, Geonosians, Etc. This was even according to commentary by the game makers. I do not own the game. But if it were to be true, myself, and the rest of the community, would like to have learned about it in the articles connected to the game. Yet this did not happen. Instead, a user who has deservedly been banned (in my opinion, based from his negative objection to everything) got the other user to drop it.
So I left a post. Now that may be bad since the other posts were outdated. However, examining how similar situations have been handled on other articles, I believe the issue needed resolved. So I went further in attempting to contact the individuals in the debate. Finding that one had been banned, I went to the other and told him to look what was left for him on the article talk page.
In response to my actions, I've had my hands slapped at every turn where I contributed to dead discussions. I have been told to start new topics, but it is a bit senseless.
Despite what I may say, since you do not have an interest anyway in the idea of discussions building up over years and years until we get a good result on a given subject, the proof stands! And that proof is the fact that many legalistic editors have blinded themselves trying to merely enforce rules which lack any reason. The Geonosian article hasn't been updated since that time to include the information people were not hearing!
You see the rules broken and try to stamp out attempts to promote the delivery of information. I left how to present the info up to you guys, routine editors and Wookieepedians. It could be poetic license non-canon alternatives depictions of Geos and B1s or canon variation. I don't own the material in question, but the makers themselves mention it, and therefore it might need mentioned on this wiki. But no. Nobody cared about making an efficient and full source of data, just enforcing rules. I'm done protesting. The people who reported me could have left my comments on the content of articles, inside or outside the proper or outdated subject boxes. Though that's not what happened. I've contributed to this wiki where fan perception did not match the Star Wars, and I'm not getting banned again.
My apologies for upsetting you and other Wookieepedians so. But I have to ask...Is this what you wanted? Now you have one less person contributing to talk pages, because I am done trying to help this wiki. You have an article that may or may not lack information. I am grateful for what you, Wookieepedia, provide. I thank you for your personal edits as well as the community as a whole. If you have any useful answers, my edit presence will be confined to the knowledge bank. And some of my questions on talk articles were abuses, were for seeking information of personal interest, not for the article, and that really belongs to the Knowledge Bank's purpose. For that I am sorry. But I removed some of those questions. Speculation? A poor excuse, but it has existed on talk pages for articles for a long time. There is also the fact that some speculation has proved fruitful and makes for good consideration. Look into the Vibroblade talk page.
But I'm done with protest. Your rules have won. Information has been cut off from the visitor to this site. Anybody who has the courage to get onto a talk page will find conversations incomplete from past years, and they will be unable to keep them going. My only rule in leaving this last words of farewell: Don't ban me in retaliation. It will be just that; Vengeance. Do not refuse to answer my question on the knowledge bank to discriminate. What I have written here is a reluctant, contesting surrender. Thank you for trying to maintain Wookieepedia and the important database it serves as. But there has been much without reasoning, without stepping back to ask if it matters. My last challenge is this: Go to an article, restart a conversation in a new topic box, talk about the older conversation and feel how silly the protocol is. Threepio! Shut down all the garbage mashers on the detention level. In the words of a Hutt farewell, Mee Jews ku! 99.188.36.80 20:48, July 12, 2013 (UTC)

- Wait! Whenever I hit the knowledge Bank link under the Forums tab, it doesn't display my questions. When I click on the Forums tab/link itself and then select the knowledge bank forum, it shows my questions. Will others be able to read my questions? Will this effect if they will ever be answered!? Oh no, We're doomed...—Unsigned comment by 99.188.36.80 (talk • contribs)
- Forget it. Its fine. I kept seeing at the top posts which were there before I had logged mine, but were updated with new edits. So I get it. The most recent changes move up the ladder. My bad. Sorry for these stupid posts taking up your talk page.—Unsigned comment by 99.188.36.80 (talk • contribs)
