Hello there. Just out of curiousity, how did you get those Battle for Naboo pictures to look so nice? All I used was jpeg crop. Corellian Premier20pxAll along the watchtower 18:11, June 25, 2011 (UTC)

Party Poster
First, I would just like to say thank you for uploading a better image of the Party Poster. Second, I would like to know how you can extract SWG texture files. I am trying to do a bunch of galaxies articles before the game closes down, so I think that this information would be quite valuable in my project. Thank you for your time.--Exiled Jedi 20px (Greetings) 13:21, July 18, 2011 (UTC)
- I extracted a bunch of textures, mostly of those art and poster files, years ago just as a test and I still have them lying around. Honestly, I forget what I used. I'll dig through my modding files when I get home. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 17:52, July 18, 2011 (UTC)

Interlang template incoming!
Hi Culator, thank you very much for implementing the Template:Interlang! I fixed it so that the FA icons work now and I already updated HotCat to use the Interlang template. Therefore, you will start seeing the Interlang template in HotCat's contributions. Of course, there may still be some bugs in it so I would be glad if you notify us about them so we can fix them.
I am not sure if you plan on running a bot to update the interwiki links but HotCat will now gradually convert all templates every time it changes a page here. If you want to, I can also program a tool to update all articles at once. Now that the interlang template is active, please feel free to also update the CSS (see User:C-3P0/InterWiki#Global_CSS) so that the interwiki box looks a little bit nicer. And of course, I appreciate any improved design, this was just a quick and dirty code.
The JavaScript I wrote changes the interwiki box into the left navigation for users that have the monobook skin enabled. I initially thought about having every user who wants to putting the script into his personal user script, but if you want to, you can of course also put it into the global JavaScript at MediaWiki:Monobook.js.
Have a nice day, C-3P0 06:32, August 1, 2011 (UTC)
- My bot to automatically update the interwiki format on all pages with a German equivalent page is now up and running; you can see its changes in the contributions list of HotCat. By the way, I talked with Tm_T about improving the CSS; he can tell you more about it. --C-3P0 18:06, August 1, 2011 (UTC)

Revert
Hello Darth Culator,
Can you explain me, why you where reverting this? We have today two different Jedipedias with different additional content. We have over a factor of 50 more unique visitors a day. I don't want to bore you about a long differentiation, but your current revert is pretty unobjective. The only thing I want is links for both Jedipedias. Obi-WanGT 23:56, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
- Because the Wookieepedia community sided with the majority of Jedipedians rather than the rogue splinter group that took a fork to Wikia. Because those Jedipedians who actually had contributions on Wookieepedia and who actively worked to build links with other communities asked us to support them and nobody opposed them. If you had the kind of traffic you claim to have, there would have been at least one vote against linking to Jedipedia.net. The horse is long since gone, and you're far too late to close the barn door now. The Jedipedia article will feature the real Jedipedia, whether you like it or not. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 00:08, August 31, 2011 (UTC)
- We never took knowledge of that, only after you changed it and our links disappeared. The greatest amount of the users who stood were to young to have the courage to go on an English site, after these turbulent days and discuss. And we have not actually thought about it, but the .net contacted you which we could not have noticed. We were not contacted by Wookieepedia of an upcoming poll or somewhat.
- But the mayor factor was: The Fork made promises, so many users changed the sides in the early days. They said, they would make the things even better, which they didn't made. So today, the signs have changed because they lost users, which headed back to the original or will head back after a small pause. The original site lost some base users, but our rankings are intact and we didn't lost readers. The current base users of us were actually base users in the former Jedipedia (as I mentioned), went the way to the fork and from there back to the original, because they missed there their chance to make it better. And, now it comes. Some of our users were also working here in the Wookieepedia, wrote articles and did not only put interwiki links correct. So, I repeat myself – you could not have a diffential view on the things, because you just listened to one side. The only thing I want, is that you put the links correct or make two different articles. And in the future, both wikis will have their chances.--Obi-WanGT 00:26, August 31, 2011 (UTC)
Jedi Masters image
I do not mean to take up your time, as you are an admin, but why did you delete the Jedi Master image I uploaded? My dad took his precious time helping me upload that, and I am disappointed and slightly miffed that it was deleted. No one else made a move to upload said image, and since there's no other image of those characters on this site, I think they deserve an image. But I'm not going to re-upload it. It'll just be deleted again. Someone else will have to do it. Please note that I am not trying to be a jerk. But I can't believe that the image was deleted, probably just because of low quality. You are aware there are images here with far worse quality?--ARC Commander Colt 18:33, September 10, 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks so much for re-uploading it, and I am sorry for my outburst.--ARC Commander Colt 20:10, September 10, 2011 (UTC)
- I am aware that there are worse images on the site, but with over 42,000 files currently uploaded I can't fix them all right away. I just do my best to replace or dispose of them as I become aware of them. For future reference, you could have just hit "print screen" on the web page and then "paste" in Windows Paint and it would have come out looking like this, which I would have been inclined to leave in place until I could replace it rather than deleting it outright. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 20:22, September 10, 2011 (UTC)
Picture uploads
The pictures I've been uploading are from the Blu-ray version of TPM (which is now the canon version). This version has 8% more picture all around when compared to the DVD and HDTV versions. I'd say it's an improvement. Alexrd 20:07, September 10, 2011 (UTC)
- Considering the actual size of Blu-Ray screenshots should be 1920x816 (give or take a few pixels for border adjustments), I don't know where you're actually getting them. I would suggest waiting a week for actual Blu-Ray captures to start going up. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 20:22, September 10, 2011 (UTC)
- They are scaled down, but the source is the same. Alexrd 22:04, September 10, 2011 (UTC)
Re: HK-47 update
Setting aside my personal outrage and extreme displeasure at having to include this abomination, I suppose I'll have to handle it. I was also wondering if I could get the context for this item. Am I correct in assuming that the defeated body of HK is crafted into this item after he transferred his consciousness out? Thanks for the update Culator, I suppose even the most ridiculous bits of canon deserve mention, although this does nothing to help my disdain for Galaxies content. :P JethLordMaster18px (Xia Order) 04:15, September 12, 2011 (UTC)
- We don't actually know, apparently. All the info I have available is here. I don't play Galaxies anymore, so I'd suggest asking the people who are active here or here. I made an article based on what little is available. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 04:31, September 12, 2011 (UTC)
- Alright, thanks for the help. I'll figure some way to incorporate this based on what little we know. JethLordMaster18px (Xia Order) 21:05, September 12, 2011 (UTC)

Canderous Ordo FA status
Hey Culator, as I'm sure you already know, Canderous Ordo has recently been tagged for review as it currently has an update tag from a recent excerpt released in Star Wars Insider. Xd1358 has recommended I get some opinions from Inqs as to how much updating should be enough at this point to allow the article to keep its FA status. As one of the Inqs who generous enough to originally approve the article, I was hoping to get your take on the matter.
My main points are already on the Inq page for Canderous, but to summarize, the excerpt deals with Canderous and Revan seeking out Clan Ordo and telling them they intend to reclaim the Mask of Mandalore, with a large reveal being that Canderous married at some point. I have already added a sentence telling of the first part, but I believe it would be premature to attempt to add any information about his wife until more context is given. There really was not much information to go on from the excerpt and the book itself is out in only a couple of months, so I was hoping the Inqs could be persuaded to hold off until then and give me a chance to update the article once the novel is out, as it will undoubtedly be a much more reliable resource than the excerpt. Thanks for your consideration and sorry about the wall of text! JethLordMaster18px (Xia Order) 03:01, September 18, 2011 (UTC)
- Just adding the fact that he was married someplace should be enough for now. No real detail would be required, and I can't imagine anyone would insist on more than a mention based on what's available now. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 14:59, September 18, 2011 (UTC)
- Alright, sounds good. Thanks for the help as always! JethLordMaster18px (Xia Order) 20:25, September 18, 2011 (UTC)
Image request
Hey Culator. I'm wondering if I can request a blu-ray upload? It's from one of the new deleted scenes, so there isn't a pre-existing image to replace. I know that there are a lot of pre-existing images to be replaced, so hopefully this isn't a huge burden or anything. It's from "The Lost Rebels" video in the Death Star II deleted scenes, at about 7:57 in this video. I'm looking for an image of helmetless Blount and his fabulous 1983 hairstyle. It's difficult to get a good one, as he's moving around a lot, but something from around the time of these two images: http://s956.shotobucket.com/albums/ae49/gradualferguson/random/?action=view¤t=gunnerblount.jpg and http://s956.shotobucket.com/albums/ae49/gradualferguson/random/?action=view¤t=gunnerblount2.jpg should be able to produce a good clear image of his face. Of course, there's no such thing as "shotobucket," but a slight tweak to the URL will allow you to view them. :) Anyway, I hope this isn't too much to ask. Let me know! Thanks. JPEGcrop question
I know you recommend and use JPEGcrop, and know the program well. I had a question for you regarding it. When cropping, with "Endpoint snap" enabled, it crops from the left/right, top/bottom in increments of 8px. Sometimes however, an image will crop in 16px increments. Is that something embedded in the image itself that causes this? Also, if you disable Endpoint snap, it allows you to crop in 1px increments from the bottom and right, but not from there left and top. Is there a way to crop from all sides in 1px increments with the program? I would use JPEGcrop for all my cropping needs if I didn't sometimes require the fine tuned cropping. - JMAS 20px Hey, it's me! 18:13, September 24, 2011 (UTC)
- The difference in block sizes depends on the particular compression settings of the program that saved the original JPEG. I can't explain it because there's too much math involved and I hate math, but a good summary is here. The reason it can customize the cropping on the bottom and right of blocks but not the top and left is because it's not really deleting the remaining portion of the block, it's just setting the image not to show it. It can't do that from the top of the block, though I have no idea why. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 20:23, September 24, 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for the info. I'll just keep going as normal, using it whenever possible, and sticking with Photoshop when not. - JMAS 20px Hey, it's me! 20:26, September 24, 2011 (UTC)

Re: Message Wall
Hi Darth Culator, I noticed your comment about Message Wall and it looks like you have some specific feedback in mind. The team is still gathering input, so I'd love your two cents. First, to clarify, job queue and renames will not be an issue -- we're changing the architecture so threads will just be associated differently, rather than "moved" in the case of a name change. Two questions for you, though:
1) What could we modify about how we archive talk pages so that your bots will have an easier time with them? What's the specific concern there?
2) What is it about Recent Changes that you're concerned about and want to see changed? (Note we've already changed a lot of the details already -- see Community Test wiki for the most recent.)
You can respond on my talk page or via Special:Contact. Thanks! --Dopp

Upload function issues
Hey, Culator, are you aware of anything changing with the upload form? I use the basic upload form and when I fill out the information, select my file to upload and hit the upload button, it takes me to the regular guide upload form with the warning that the file name already exists, and asking if I want to skip the upload, continue and overwrite, etc. The thing is, somehow Wikia is screwing up (big shock, I know) because it is uploading the file when I click Upload, but it's like it's simultaneously trying to upload it a second time. After the second time it happened, thinking it might just be my browser, I did close my browser and clear my cache, and logged back in, but it's still doing the same thing. Just thought I'd bring this to your attention in case it's something that needs to be looked at. - JMAS 20px Hey, it's me! 01:13, December 3, 2011 (UTC)

You sir, are a total T.W.A.T, literally the biggest nob-head on the planet, the reasons for my belief - you are incredibly rude to other users and if this was reversed you would have them banned, I refer to the statement "administrators are not imbued with any form of special authority", you, like several other admins on this wiki have separate rules for yourselves & for other users, especially in the "speculation" department, you have a right fit about it when someone even mentions any form of speculation, but the wiki is riddled with speculation, and why does it matter so much, talk pages are another one, mainly I find that you are just a power crazed control-freak and just have a go at anyone who disagrees with you. And yes, I know that this may be considered a personal attack, but to be honest, I don't care, as I have an account & I'm using someone elses computer to do this, ha ha fuck you. p.s. you and CC7567 among others should not allowed to be admins, the way you act on this wiki. --90.212.115.21 00:05, December 19, 2011 (UTC)

Midi-chlorian counts
Hey Darth Culator. I know that you guys like to avoid lists and I have a feeling that this page I want to create will be deleted, so Im asking your opinion. I like midi-chlorian counts, and recently in the Tenebrous Way, a new count was observed. Should I make a midi-chlorian count list page? Also if you say no, how can I get the count mentioned on the Tenebrous Way on to Wookieepedia?24.193.147.106 05:51, December 19, 2011 (UTC)
- How many midichlorian counts are canonically mentioned? There can't be too many. They could probably all be worked into the main midi-chlorian page. I would actually suggest you ask Lord Hydronium since he wrote our featured article on them. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 13:55, December 19, 2011 (UTC)

- Wow, good job on becoming a burecrat. Don't really know much about this stuff. Is their a difference between an admin and a burecrat, or is it just a title. Even so, enjoy the power….UNLIMITED POWER!!! lol24.193.145.164 05:45, December 25, 2011 (UTC)

Hasbro V-wing Picture
Please compare the differences in Hasbro's official image found on the actual merchandise—found on Rebelscum[2]—to the File:CloneFlightSquadSevenVwings.jpg image that replaced the original. Can you please revert the deletion? GethralkinHyperwave 07:45, January 9, 2012 (UTC)
- Additionally, on the Indigo Studios site, they misspell their "client's" name as Harbro, and their images of Darth Vader's TIE Advanced, Anakin Skywalker's Jedi Starfighter, and the TIE Interceptor are all labeled as "V-wing Fighter"s on the box image. If Indigo Studios truly were the authors, they would have the proper final images. Additionally, is Hasbro stating that Indigo Studios are the authors for Hasbro merchandise, or is there any supporting source to this claim? GethralkinHyperwave 08:11, January 9, 2012 (UTC)
Blu-ray request
While you're in the throes of updating images to Blu-ray versions, I was hoping I could get you to grab an image from the ROTJ Jerjerrod deleted scenes. Right around 1 minute 24 seconds, when Endicott is telling Jerjerrod they've lost contact with the generating station. Ideally at a point where both of their faces and mouths look normal and not in the weird convulsion of pronouncing a word. Thanks. Toprawa and Ralltiir 20:09, January 12, 2012 (UTC)

Why was the page sexual refrences in star wars originally deleted. Parts of it can be salvaged? In fact I could make it my project to fix it. Whattya think?24.90.125.6 03:13, January 24, 2012 (UTC)
Username change
Hi. I was curious if it'd be possible to request a username change for myself? I know it's unusual, but this is an older username, and I'd like it to differ from my e-mail (If this could be renamed completely to SWG-SWG I'd appreciate it)! SWG-SWG 16:18, January 28, 2012 (UTC)
- Wookieepedia administrators don't do that, that's a staff function. See Wikia Help if you really want to change it, but be absolutely sure before you do because they'll only do it once. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 16:40, January 28, 2012 (UTC)

Meeting 48
Hey Culator. Please mark your calendar for Inqmoot 48, which will be held on March 4 or 5, depending on your timezone. As always, please leave notes prior to the meeting if you cannot attend. If you don't, this time the newly resurrected Darth Maul will be sent after you. Hope to see you there! CC7567 (talk) 05:48, February 15, 2012 (UTC)
My image
I wanna ask you why did you delete my picture? --XXLVenom998 08:27, February 16, 2012 (UTC)
- You'll have to be quite a bit more specific. I delete a lot of pictures. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 13:07, February 16, 2012 (UTC)
Search icons
I'm pretty sure there are more search icons in circulation presently that what is presented here. What is the page that shows all the search icons currently in the randomized rotation. I'd like to take a look at it, partly to make sure I'm not creating duplicates, and also to see if any of them could use improved versions. - JMAS 20px Hey, it's me! 02:31, February 18, 2012 (UTC)
- Nope, that's it. They're all in a list in MediaWiki:Monobook.js. I just it compared to the chart, and they're all there. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 02:53, February 18, 2012 (UTC)
- Oh, wait, looks like I did my diff the minute after MJ updated it. Still, there were only a few different. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 02:55, February 18, 2012 (UTC)
- Man, it sure seems like there's more than that. Thanks. I'll just keep going off the In Use page then. - JMAS 20px Hey, it's me! 03:23, February 18, 2012 (UTC)
- Most, if not all, of the search icons from File:Jawa Search logo.png|Jawa Search logo.png down are artifact free. Any reason they can't be added to the rotation? If you let me know a list of the ones added, I don't mind taking the time to add them to the In use table. - JMAS 20px Hey, it's me! 00:38, February 29, 2012 (UTC)

Proposition from italian Star Wars website
Greetings Darth Culator.
I am Maestro_Tholme and represent www.swx.it, an Italian fansite, hosting the largest Star Wars databank available in our language (which has been using the Wikia service since 2008 in order to enhance users’ participation at the project).
We would like to advance a proposal to you and, through you, to the whole Wookieepedia staff. We highly admire the work done by you to gather virtually all information about the huge universe of Star Wars, putting it at everyone’s disposal and pleasure. We ask you to consider our request to be listed as Official Friends of Wookieepedia. In turn, we will publicly endorse Wookieepedia.
I would like to use the occasion of this message to bring to your attention some issues regarding the Italian counterpart of your Wookieepedia, “Jawapedia”, whose activity we have monitored for about three years. Being completely deprived of any staff or administration, Jawapedia has not seen any maintenance for almost twenty months, knowing mostly minor edits of dubious quality. Since our repeated attempts to establish contact with them and propose a merger were in vain, we were wondering whether you at Wookieepedia knew how to contact the admins of similar satellite wikis. To be honest we have no clue if there is still someone or not.
Please feel free to visit our community.
We look forward to your response.

How to upload a image from a copyrighted source?
Hi
I've received your message about removing the images I've recently uploaded. I really like Wookieepedia, I don't want to get banned here and my intention is to respect copyrights in any way possible. But I don't know which a proper option I have to choose to upload those images (Second Galactic Civil War from the Essential Atlas and Exar Kun with his Massassi from The Timleine: Exar Kun War). On the Wookieepedia I see a lot of content from both of those sources and these images are not removed. Please, could you tell me what I must choose from the license list during uploading a new image? Could you name this option? I will be very grateful,. I really would like to use Exar Kun/Massassi image in the Sith Empire article. Greetings.

CW image request
Hey Culator; seeing as how the Nevoota Bee has been positively identified as the Acclamator that Anakin launches off of in The Clone Wars Chapter 2, is there any chance of snagging a screen shot of the underside of the ship as the fighters pass by on their way to engage the Separatist fighters? I think it's about a minute a half in. Thanks in advance - Cavalier One20px(Squadron channel) 23:01, April 30, 2012 (UTC)
