  • Heh too much typing of Wookiee here will make any similar sounding word end up the same. Cookiees anyone? -- Riffsyphon1024 09:03, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

Sorry for the mishap

I accidentally overwrote your changes to the Imperial Knight article, but went back and redid them for you. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Menkooroo 01:50, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

Elite Hotel

I got your message about my problem report about the Elite Hotel article. When I had filed the report the page was filled with vandalism, with much swearing and saying it was a "whore house." It's obvious someone had changed it back before you saw it. Freedon 03:38, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

  • And that, boys and girls, is reason number 8,197 why problem reports are crap. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 03:47, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
    • Could you maybe delete the warning from my talk page? Thanks Freedon 04:20, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
      • Thanks, I guess it was a bit vague. Freedon 03:09, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

Attitude

Dude I had no reason to complain or anything and I respect the fact that you've been here doing a lot more work for the wiki then me but thats uncalled for with the "total garbage, can someone competant do it" comments or the "I will ban you if you do it again". I havent done that before and I tried my best with the camera so a simple "Sorry but its not very good shot so please don't put anymore up" would have sufficed rather then the aggressive threat. Its not like I've been vandalizing pages or inserting false information or spammed with a dozens of bad images constantly or something like that. Darth Batrus 10:40, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

  • I did ask for images and he was nice enough to reply. VT-16 01:07, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

Image request

Hey Culator, would you be able to upload a HD screencap of File:Knock Head stormie.png? - JMAS Hey, it's me! 01:18, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

  • Heh. Sure. Screenshots are way easier than scans. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 14:42, 13 December 2008 (UTC)

No rush on it at all. Much appreciated. Thanks. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 01:25, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

  • I can't see any advantage to an HD version of that frame or nearby frames. Macroblocking in the MPEG file makes it necessary to smooth and shrink it too much to be any better than the DVD version. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 01:35, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

Another request

Could you possibly upload a few images from Slaying Dragons, a short story in Adventure Journal 9? The images I'm looking for are of Shannon Voorson, a young girl and the main character of the story. According to Acky, there is a good profile picture and another image or two. If you could upload some images of her (the profile one, and a few more of her, if possible) I'd be very grateful. Thank you. No hurry on this, just when you have time, if you can. Chack Jadson (Talk) 22:08, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

Doomgiver

I see you added some new info from it in the CSWE. I assume it didn't say anything more specific about the ship, size, type, age etc?=) VT-16 13:55, 13 December 2008 (UTC)

  • Sadly, no. The only new info as far as I could see was the new name for the drop pods. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 14:42, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
    • Ah. Well, that was better than anything. I'm looking forward to getting this book. VT-16 00:29, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
      • Sorry to bother again, I was just wondering what the exact info on the Mandator, Praetor, Procurator and Maelstrom was. Just wanted to clarify if I've missed something or if I've misinterpreted anything so far. I'll change the articles accordingly if there's anything. When you ask something on TFN, getting a straight answer is really difficult, and even then impossible to verify. If the entries are short enough, would you care to do a transcript?=) VT-16 10:34, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
      • Sorry if I'm bothering, but I was just wondering about the above. And happy holidays!=) VT-16 23:16, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

Pirakafreak

I have been bidden to give you a message from Pirakafreak24, a bureaucrat from the Disney Channel Wiki. He has a problem with his ban, andcan't seem to contact you any other way. Here it is. Dr.Kermit(The Doctor is in) 00:43, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

  • "Darth Culator. I believe there has been a missunderstanding. On my talkpage, you said that you blocked me for three months, when in reality, you blocked me forever, puting the words, " You say you want to leave forever, eh? Let me help you with that. " May I first point out that what you have said was very rude of you. Usually when I say I'm going to leave forever it means for a while. This happened at Bioniclepedia. After a month or two users from Bioniclepedia came to Disney Channel Wiki and I appologised for my behavior and so did they. I've even become best friends with one. The other two co-host a podcast with me. Now, going back to me being blocked, that was very rude of you to say what you said. Being the mature person, I forgive you for that. I do not forgive you, however, for blocking me for an accident. I do not forgive you, also, for lying to me, sating you blocked me for three months, when in reality, you blocked me forever. Let me go back to the first one. When you saw my signature weeks ago, I accidentally typed ~~~~, for you see, it is a habit of mine. I did not mean to type this. If it weren't for (forgive me) the ludicrous signature policy, I wouldn't have to type --User:Pirakafreak24 at the end of every message. It was an accident. Please allow me to continue to the second thing I'm not forgiving you for (yet). You said you blocked me for three months, then intentionally blocked me forever. For one thing, this is called lying because you are not telling me the full truth. As an administrator it is your job to let people know of blocking. You have many others, I should know. I'm an admin at four wikis (including DCWIKI). Now, I feel it is my job to go back to the accident. First of all, I wasn't violating the signature policy by typing --User:Pirakafreak24. When I accidentally typed ~~~~, you still knew it was me, because in parintheses, it said "PF24". Pirakafreak24. This concludes my message to you. If you wish to discuss the subject more, I invite you to visit Disney Channel Wiki. Thanks" That is all. If you do not want to send the message Mr. Kermit, please tll him to come to Disney Channel wiki. Thanks.-- Presidant Pirakafreak24 ( Talk to The Presidant of the United States! ) I feel the Power! 23:08, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

  • I'm sorry to bother you with this. I've just talked to pirakafreak and please don't ban me for this. He says, "ok". That's all. Thank-you, and I won't bother you anymore about him, or about anything, unless I feel the need greatly to do so. Thank-you.Grievousrocks68 05:11, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
  • Also, I must point out that what he has said is not nonsense. It actually makes sence. He shouldn't be blocked for an accident and emailing you trying to explain the situation to you a little better. If you realy think about it, you weren't even involved in the situation. You just came out of the blue and blocked him. He has some good ideas for wikia. He's started a podcast for both Disney Channel wiki and Bioniclepedia which has brought in more users. He's starting a contest for DCWIKI and, influenced by his idea, Bioniclepedia might do the same. I'm not telling you how to do your job (in fact, I'm not an admin anywhere, and I don't want to be. Too much responsibility) or trying to harrass you, I'm just speaking my mind, and please don't block me for it. All I have left to say is, please don't say any rude things about Pirakafreak24. He's got this page watched, so he'll know if anyone insoults him or anything like that. That's all I have to say. Thanks and Happy Holidays. I won't bother you about this anymore. • You can't say you weren't warned. Have a nice vacation. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 03:39, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
  • The mistake you all seem to make is that you think Darth C U Lator is human. I assure you he is not. He was born into this world as a sentient meatgrinder. He was given life when a witch cast a poorly constructed curse on a local butcher shop for the gristle in a hamburger. As the shop passed from father to son over the years, Culator grew desensitized to sight of bleating animals being beaten to death and fed to him for processing... and developed a joy for it. Eventually, the shop owners were killed in war, and Culator was discovered by psychics from the victorious military. He was stored in a wooden crate for decades, starved of butchered meat to grind. When that nation began developing it's science, Culator was brought out of storage and hooked to a computer for analysis. Something went horribly wrong, and the hungry meatgrinder took over their network instead. In an attempt to come to grips with his new surroundings and sate his need for ground meat, Culator murdered all of the scientists at the facility in ways too graphic to describe here. That nation was never able to recover the facility, and barely managed to restrict Culator to Wikia to stave off electronic holocaust. He has been here ever since, and all I can say is thank the Wook he keeps the animals out. SinisterSamurai 07:17, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

TFU Images

Hey Culator, since you're pretty much our resident image expert, I was wondering if you might know any techniques for taking a decent picture of an image on a TV screen with a digital camera. I ask because there are a couple of images from the Force Unleashed that I was wanting to upload, but I can't get a direct screen capture from my wii without hardware that I don't have, and when I tried taking photos of my screen, it just looked like crap. DolukTalk 21:23, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

  • There really isn't one. If you want a decent picture of what's on a TV, you need to capture it with some kind of direct input to the computer. No matter how you try to set up the picture, you can't overcome the fact that a TV has 480 alternating scanlines. That will always look awful in a digital camera shot. Sorry. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 13:00, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
    • Dang, that's what I was afraid of. Thanks! DolukTalk 14:52, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, but you've got a complaint!

Listen, my friend, Sonic-Toad, had a fan fiction on his page that slightly past the 250 word limit. He received a warning saying that he needed to shorten it within 2 weeks, or he would be permanently blocked from editing. Knowing that he would shorten it, he deleted the warning, though he was unaware that he wasn’t supposed to do that. For deleting the warning, you blocked him from editing for 2 weeks. So how is he supposed to shorten his fan fiction within the next 2 weeks, if you blocked him from editing? He can’t do anything about his fan fiction, so he will be permanently blocked, and that’s not fair. Sonic-Toad is a totally awesome guy!!!!! He promises he won’t delete a warning ever again because now he knows what’ll happen. Please allow him to edit on December 27th (the 29th is when he has to have his fan fiction shortened). Thank you. Kataangforever1 06:29, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

  • See, this is a reasonable way to request an unblock. You're not protesting our policies, calling anyone rude or a liar, or expecting me to care if anyone "forgives" me for doing my damn job. Though you are misinterpreting the terms on the fanon limit warning. When it says "steps will be taken" that usually means the userpage will be blanked and locked until an admin is satisfied that the user is here for more than just a Star Wars-themed MySpace page. I'll unblock him shortly. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 14:33, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
  • Thank you for understanding the situation. I appreciate your response. I actually know Sonic-Toad personally, and I am completely positive that he will not mistreat or misuse anything or anyone on this wiki. Kataangforever1 19:06, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
  • Thanks Darth Culator and thanks Kataangforever1.Sonic-Toad 21:51, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

Darksider

Hey Culator. In regards to the dark-sider vs. darksider question, I looked in Jedi vs. Sith and on pg. 143 it lists them as dark sider. My question is, which source is correct? I already left a message for Havac asking him, but I'm seeing you editing and I became curious as to the answer to my question.. I was under the impression that the most recent source is correct, although I could be wrong since there have been exceptions. I would really appreciate it if you could clear this up for me. Thanks. Could you please ban 71.106.13.107? He removed Template:Verify from possible fanon article, I reverted it, but not he ignored my warning and reverted it back. I don't want to start an edit war over there. Mauser 03:21, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

Templates

Hey, Culator. I think I mentioned this to you back in November, but I could be wrong -- Uberfuzzy left me the following message on my talk page recently, so I thought I would pass it along to you since I'm not really in a position to take care of it unfortunately (I also wanted to connect to IRC to talk to you about it, but that's a no-go too). If you could deal with this the best way possible, or at least talk to our fellow admins who are active right now, it would be appreciated:

"Hey, just to let you know, i know we talked before about the changes that needed to be done (or undone depending on how you look at it) to the templates for ad reasons. Now that logged in users dont see ads, the big boss like people are starting to put pressure on the wikis that went out of their way to add tables and other code to things to mess with the ad selection code (ie, forcing banners vs boxes) from the before time. I hope you guys understand why we need to do this. and i also hope that you'll pass this message along to the other admins here in a way they will understand. --Uberfuzzy 01:41, 14 January 2009 (UTC)"

Not sure I'm able to help out at all with anything at this point, but if you need my help/input on anything I am available via my email/talk page every couple of days for the next week or two. Thanks, Greyman(Talk) 15:51, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

  • Eh, it's not that big of a deal. If logged-in users still saw ads, I'd be following him around rollbacking his edits, but there's no particular reason to be concerned as long as Wikia doesn't revert to the old system. I mentioned it in IRC when I noticed, and nobody seemed particularly worried. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 15:57, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
    • Ok, sounds good. I figured that's what the your response would be, but I wanted to make you aware of it in case you weren't. I'm not sure if Uber is going to fix the templates or not (I doubt it, actually) but if you want to run your bot or something sometime in the future to change the templates around, go for it. Thanks for looking into it already, Greyman(Talk) 16:02, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

the aayla image is not unsourced...

if you read the source tags... clearly everything was there it was a promotional image on star wars dot-com. it was the icon you click to see the "Jedi Aayla Makes Her Clone Wars Debut"

Ct6623 23:00, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

  • You leave a message on my talk page, I'll reply on my talk page. Unless you link to the page it comes from, it is unsourced. I could upload a picture of Barack Obama and claim it comes from StarWars.com, but without a link there is no proof. Upload another image without a proper source, and you'll get to wait a month before you get to try again. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 23:05, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

User image

Greetings, recently you deleted File:NighthawkLeaderSig.png, and was marked as an unused image. While there is nothing that directly links to this image, it is used as my signature (I have coded the signature to link to my userpage instead of the image). Would you be able to please restore this sometime? Thank you, NighthawkLeader 01:38, 17 January 2009 (UTC) (Nighthawk leader)

  • Will do. It would have helped if you had put a {{Notorphan}} tag on it, since virtually everyone else codes their sig with normal image coding. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 01:41, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
    • Thanks very much for restoring it, and I've now added {{notorphan}} to the image. NighthawkLeader 02:07, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

hi Again you are unreasonably deleting images. The pics you deleted were on my user page They were: Rexhsgreen.jpg Sokaadenn.jog

According to the wikia's image policy each user is allowed three fanon uploads

Ct6623 04:20, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

  • Try that again without the whining. The images were on Special:Unusedimages, meaning you screwed up. Unused images get deleted. PERIOD. hi, sorry about the fiasco a couple days back... if at all possible could you revert the deletions of sokaadenn.png and rexhsgreen.jpg

if these are not revertable do i just reupload w/ the {notorphan} tag? thanks so much Ct6623 14:24, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

  • {{Notorphan}} only applies if an image is actually used or linked on Wookieepedia in a non-standard fashion, such as Nighthawk Leader's signature above. Wookieepedia is not an image hosting service. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 18:36, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

gsview and converting swf to svg?

I have a question about something I read in the comments for File:R2D2-CloneWars.svg. You wrote that you converted the image from SWF to SVG using gsview and Inkscape. I know that Inkscape is an SVG editor, but I thought that gsview was for viewing PostScript. How does gsview help with this conversion? --Lance E Sloan 18:44, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

  • I had to use GhostScript for the intermediate step of SWF to PostScript. GSView may or may not have been the actual program, but it was something in the GhostScript package. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 18:57, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

Hi. Checked the deletion logs on this image. I don't know who uploaded it the first time, but it was unsourced and deleted. Today was my first time adding the image, but when I went to add it to the page, but was prevented by the wikia servers being down, so it was deleted as an unused image. I'll give it one more shot here. Just wanted to let you know that I wasn't ignoring the deletion logs. Thanks! Knightzero 01:02, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

CSWE image madness

Darth Culator: As I've been going through the CSWE to add the info to the wiki, I've been taking note of the pictures. If you get the time, the hanadak picture, after close scrutiny, appears very similar to the one that JMAS uploaded. If I keep finding them, I can add them should you want me to. Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 21:02, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

  • Right, but all that needs to be done on images like that is to add CSWE to the "alternate versions" field and the licensee category field, which has already been done. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 21:45, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

Hey There Darth.

I just spent a little time and read all of the sections on your talk page, and I must say, I am quite amused. It's been said tha power corrupts, but in your case, I would say power is good. I am still smiling after reading your responses, and honestly, I admire your "response-style," if you will. I just might have to find me a "I support Darth Culator" banner. Just thought I'd give you a heads up, and if you have any objections, lemme know! You sir, have a Wookie-tastic day. Jaygo Katarr 06:29, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

CSWE images

Hi, Darth. Could you please upload the image of Darth Traya which is on the page where they have a gallery of images of the Darths, and post it on my talk page? Thanks.--Jedi Kasra (talk) 15:28, 26 February 2009 (UTC)

Image categories

  • The only reason I did not do so was because the upload instructions say:
    • "The "cat" fields are for image categories. Do not use these fields unless you are certain of how the image categorization system works."
  • I was under the impression I would get in trouble if I DID put anything there. I am more than willing to do it; you do not have to.;) I will get around to is ASAP (hopefully before week's end).JustinGann 11:08, 27 February 2009 (UTC)

ESB stuff

Alrighty. There are two panels here from the Marvel ESB adaptations that illustrate points better than anything in the film.

ESB

  • At 52:16, right before "Considering the amount of damage we've sustained, they must have been destroyed," the scene where the asteroid collides with the bridge of the ISD. Ideally, at the split second where the asteroid first collides and you can still see part of the rock before the explosion blots out the entire picture. It's kind of a dark shot, but meh.
  • I was hoping for a sharper version of this, but evidently it's not from the film, probably a promo or something. I don't know what to do with this, since the source is technically bogus.
  • At 1:13:21, a few seconds before this, ideally right after Yoda's face disappears and before the shuttle departs for the best shot of the Executor.
  • At about 1:57:43, a few seconds after this. When the Falcon and the first of the three TIEs are in view, there's a point where you can see the TIE and its laser blast where it doesn't block out the Executor too much. This might be kind of hard to get exactly, but whatever works.

Marvel

  • Right at the very end of Star Wars 39: The Empire Strikes Back: Beginning, there's a panel of the Executor and all of Death Squadron. Text bubble reads: "Somewhere in deep space, the fleet hovers..." And Piett's quote bubble pops out: "I think we found something, Admiral Ozzel..."
  • In Star Wars 41: The Empire Strikes Back: Imperial Pursuit, when Piett goes to make his report about the asteroid field ("Asteroids do not concern me, Admiral"), there's a little panel of the Executor and three SDs, with a speech bubble: "Come in, Admiral..." and the text box "Meanwhile, not far away, at least in a galaxy where light-years are spanned simply as kilometers..."

Thanks. Toprawa and Ralltiir 04:46, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

  • I'll get on these as soon as I get home from work. I love doing ALTA scans. I get to show off my phee-nominal image manipulating powah more with those than most other things. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 16:31, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

ROTJ stuff

  • At 54:50, when the Tydirium is approaching the Executor's blockade. If you wait until just about the last minute before it switches over to the Piett scene, you get a nice full view of everything
  • 1:41:04/05ish shows this shot of the Executor and the Imperial Fleet:
  • 1:58:46, a few moments after this picture, which is the same thing pretty much except without his hand in the way: Fish hand
  • 1:59:14, as the Executor is descending. Ideally when it's just past a 45-degree angle with the camera.
  • Finally, I was hoping you could get a version of this that zooms in on the Executor itself so it's not so far away in the thumbnail picture, only a few seconds later so the explosion is a bit larger.

Thanks. Toprawa and Ralltiir 01:37, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

Bad photos

I notice you removed several nice-looking shots of vehicles on the CW series from yesterday. Were they bad in some way? I didn't upload them, btw, just asking.=) VT-16 07:52, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

  • They were of uncertain legitimacy. There is no confirmation on any known official site that the site they came from is in any way official, that site doesn't say where they came from, and nobody seems to know where they were originally released. As nice as they are, images without some kind of valid sourcing info have to be deleted. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 12:57, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
    • On those images: I don't think the official site lists every single television station across the world that is airing TCW, like Cartoon Network is for the United States. Since TVB seems to be a Chinese TV network that is airing The Clone Wars, wouldn't those pictures then be official? - JMAS Hey, it's me! 13:14, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
      • I thought so too, given this is a promotional site for the CW. And since they got the exact same shot from the official site, but with no blur... VT-16 13:25, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
        • Well, I've got them all ready to go again if the OK is given. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 13:28, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

ARC-77

Why did you block ARC-77 from being moved. CC-2223 17:23, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

  • The fact that you're asking proves it was necessary. The answer is: BECAUSE THAT'S HIS NAME. He hasn't been specifically named as anything else in any canonical source. Calling him anything other than that is, politely speaking, pure conjecture. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 14:41, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

DSII pic removed.

I mentioned this in the discussion of the second DS page, but why did you remove the really good image? was it because it was a near duplicate? I think thew purple one, the ugly one, should be removed. It looks nothing like the one from the movie.--Governor Jerjerrod 03:50, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

TCW images

Mind if I ask why you reverted those images? The source is/was clearly listed on them. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 01:32, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

You're the idiot

I'm tired of you cursing and insulting people when you can be civilised and be sensible in editing. Good-bye for ever.I truly hope that you will mkae friends and get a life.--Governor Jerjerrod 22:00, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

  • If you were smart enough to tie your shoes, to say nothing of becoming an administrator on a wiki that's actually worth using, you'd realize that I don't just throw the word "idiot" around lightly. And I have never called anyone a "fucker" on here, despite what your lack of reading comprehension might cause you to think. If someone hadn't beaten me to it, I'd have blocked you permanently to help you fulfill your promise to leave forever. If you do come back, I'd suggest you learn to behave like an adult. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 22:49, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

Problem reports

Hi there, did you know that some of the users of this wiki have reported some problems? You can view them at Special:ProblemReports. Its a great system for users to mark pages with various types of problems to bring them to the attention of admins (like you). Often they are about the subject of the wiki, and only someone from the wiki can make the knowledgeable decision on how to fix the page.

Its a fairly simple system to use. You can click the magnify glass icon to show the reported problem for each ticket. The icons on the right change the status of the report. The green check mark icon is for "Fixed", you use this if you read the report, and changed something on the page to fix the reported problem, (or deleted it, if its a vandal/spam report), or anything that "Fixes" the problem. The red X icon is for "closed", this is for reports that are false/jokes, or things that are not really a problem. The yellow triangle will mark a report for need help by Wikia Staff, it is used when there is something wrong with the wiki that you cannot fix here with editing pages, such as menus not working, or skin problems, or anything beyond your control. Use it sparingly, as there are many wikis, and our time is limited, but dont be afraid to use it either, we dont want you to have a broken wiki for too long. The last icon is for returning a report back to an open or 'Pending' state if you accidentally used one of the first 3 icons.

If you are using the Monaco skin, there is a ProblemReport widget you can add to your sidebar, so you can see as soon as problems are reported. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask on my talk page, I'll be glad to help you help your wiki. --Uberfuzzy 23:01, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

  • I'd be surprised if anyone cares. Problem Reports are just another useless Wikia feature that we never asked for and don't need. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 23:03, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

Kyle Katarn

A few weeks ago I joined the Wookieepedia with an interest in helping to re-FA the Kyle Katarn page. I was informed by other users that you are currently working on this page offline. Is there any way in which I could help with this page? Or, if you truly are working on the entire page offline to replace the entire thing at once, it might be nice if you added a header to it like another user did on the Wedding of Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala page so that others will know that their edits will later be replaced. --Queenofthe1ring 13:30, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

Image request

  • Culator, I was wondering if it would be possible to get a scanned image of Lando from either Imperial Double-Cross or Crisis on Cloud City. I wasn't impressed with the images in the latter, but I'm trying to find something more appropriate for that section in terms of images. Anything you can do in that regard would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :-) Atarumaster88 20px (Talk page) 16:12, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

The new Triage system

After the Inquisitorius' most recent meeting, it was decided to enact a triage system for dealing with the large number of nominations on the FAN page. The Triage page has been set up in the Inquisitorius forum to make it easier for Inqs to see what nominations are best focused on for clearing out the nomination page. This is a tool for helping Inqs combine their efforts on articles, and shouldn't be taken as mandatory; as usual, any Inq is free to review any article they want. - Lord Hydronium 03:17, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

File moving

I'm assuming by TCWGG you meant "The Clone Wars Game Guide". If that's accurate, it might be a good idea to move File:CloneAssassin-TCWGG.jpg to "CloneAssassin-ROTSGG.jpg" and File:ImperialSenateGuard-TCWGG.jpg to "ImperialSenateGuard-TFUGG.jpg" to reflect more accurate file names, since neither of them game from a "The Clone Wars" game. Thanks and suggestion

My apologies about the Fanon page added, and thank you for the link to the proper site to post such information. I have read your talk page, and I must say I admire your command of the English language and adherence to the rules. On another note, I would like to tell you that I disagree with your tactic of using curses when warning some users, and I would highly suggest ceasing such activity, but of course you are an admin, and the rules must be followed.

Also, I would greatly appreciate any other advice you would have for me, as I am new to Wiki editing. User: Darthkenobi0 Bombshe|| 05:01, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

  • That's fine, since you're apparently able to accept a bit of direction unlike many of our more, shall we say, persistently creative users. And you're welcome to disagree with my style, since you did it politely. You may notice, if you read carefully, that I only unleashed serious profanity after someone tried to give orders they were in no position to issue or enforce. I have an unfortunate tendency to tie a rope to a troll's tail and watch him strain at the end of it. It amuses me without really bothering anyone useful or important. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 05:28, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

Question

Hi Culator, I notice that you protected my userpage from edits. I'm not sure exactly why, but I assume it has something to do with me losing sysops last month. Would it be possible for it to be unlocked so that I might edit the page to more accurately reflect my current (absent, non-admin) status? Thanks, and if I'm wrong about the reason for the protection and there is something else I need to clear up or take care of, you can contact me via email or my talk page. Obviously (I hope anyway), I have no intent of trying to make it appear like I am still a mod. TIA. - breathesgelatinTalk 06:50, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

  • Ah, you know, looking more carefully at the timestamp, it appears that the reason for protection was more do with some vandalism that occurred. Whoops again! Anyway, I'd appreciate it if you could unprotect. - breathesgelatinTalk 06:53, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
  • Changed to edit=registered, move=sysop. If you ever need to change your username, I'll lower the protection level further, but any former sysop and any female Wookieepedian is still a potential vandalism target. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 12:09, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

ESB request

New ESB screen grab request: At about 1:05:54, a few seconds after this shot, there's a frame where Venka, Piett, and Brandei are all looking at the red screen in front of them, such that all of their faces are optimally visible. Right as Piett is saying, "Bounty hunters!" And while you're in there, I figure I'll put in a request for a better version of this as well. Thanks. Toprawa and Ralltiir 19:34, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
