A fleet of[1] twelve[2] Rothana Heavy Engineering Acclamator-class assault ships were secretly built for the Kaminoan government's secret clone army meant for the Galactic Republic. When Jedi Master Yoda arrived to take command of the army, the fleet of already completed assault ships were immediately sent to Kamino to embark the clone trooper army. Some clone units had received training to pilot the vessels, and carried out their posts with efficiency.[1]
Once the[1] two Sector Armies[2] were embarked, the fleet traveled to Geonosis to reinforce the Jedi assault team who was being massacred. Despite the size of the assault ships, they were maneuverable in atmosphere, and as such took Separatist Alliance defenders by surprise. The fleet then deployed LAAT/i gunships to assist the Jedi[1] while several of the assault ships landed and began deploying ground forces.[6]
