The Hoplite was a Gladiator-class Star Destroyer that served as the flagship of a small Imperial Navy battle group at Ilum. The Hoplite was helmed by Captain Malthegn and was escorted by small frigates and gunboats. As a Gladiator, the Hoplite[1] was 600 meters in length.[2]

The Hoplite was first mentioned in the Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game sourcebook Nexus of Power, part of the Star Wars: Force and Destiny installment that was released in 2016.[1]
