Re: Thul Fain

Can you please explain why you reverted my edits? Thul Fain does not appear on the Khetanna in the film itself. While the decipher card's poor photoshop job may imply that Thul Fain rode aboard the Khetanna at some stage in his life we have no evidence supporting that he was on board during the events of the Battle of the Great Pit of Carkoon. Re: Jedi Exile

I would like to inquire what was wrong with my edit on the Meetra Surik page so that it was reverted? The page initially stated "because players in The Sith Lords could create male or female characters, the Exile had no definitive gender". This is not true since although players still can create male and female characters, the Jedi Exile is now canonically a female. I appreciate any help you can give me. Dominus reversion

Hi, Ifindyourlackoffaithdisturbing. I have a question about a recent reversion you made. I provided a justification for my edit in the summary; you gave no reason for your reversion. In the vast majority of in-universe Wookieepedia articles, the "Behind the scenes" section does not list every reference work in which the subject of the article appears, nor is there any reason to: the "Sources" section is a much better place to find this information. Why should the Dominus article be an exception? The sentence in question provides no information beyond what is in "Sources" (and is grammatically incorrect). Thanks. • Thank you for your reply. I fear I have not expressed myself clearly. I'm not questioning the appropriateness or relevance of the information. My issue has to do with its redundancy with the Sources section, wherein all those reference works are cited in a list format that makes them easy to scan visually. The sentence in Behind the scenes is also just a list, providing no additional information beyond what can be gleaned from the Sources, in a format that is marginally harder to process visually. Further, Sources is where readers expect to find information about reference work appearances. The sentence in Behind the scenes comes across, at best, as unnecessary clutter, and at worst as mildly insulting to the reader, implying he or she can't comprehend the Sources listing. If the sentence were providing additional information about Dominus's entry in those reference works, it would make sense to have that in Behind the scenes. But the only thing it is communicating is information that is already in another part of the article. (Sorry this reply is lengthy, but I want to make sure I'm expressing my point unambiguously.) I disagree-- I re-wrote pretty much the entire introduction section (well, okay the main body, since there's no labeled introduction), and I don't think the material in the Behind the scenes section really merits re-wording. ProfessorTofty (talk) 00:24, September 5, 2014 (UTC)

Hey Floyd - so I've been an user of Wookieepedia since about the time you came here. My knowledge is mainly pre-0 B.B.Y. history, with expertise in Sith, Mandalorian, and pre-Republic history (no love for the Jedi or the Republic lol). I've read most of the books pertaining to this time period, but ever since "Star Wars: The Essential Guide to Warfare" came out, it seems a sort of "lore-drought" for this time period has taken place. Is it just me? I am a BIG fan of Star Wars: The Old Republic, so I haven't been on the site as much as I was before the game came out, but it seems most of the lore contributions nowadays are happening after this period. I am further worried that after Disney's little "announcement" about what is and isn't canon (which I know a lot of people are just ignoring, myself included) will shut down all authors writing about the "Legends" continuity. I'm not sure if I'm asking the right guy, but I've seen you around ever since I started using the site, so I thought you could maybe shed some light on the subject.
