Your edit to Meetra Surik was reverted because 1. You're removing perfectly valid, sourced information that is completely correct, and 2. Your explanation really makes zero sense. - It seems you're misunderstanding what that sentence is trying to say. The sentence is saying that before the Exile was canonized as female, she didn't have a canon gender, because players can choose to play as either male or female.
