The hunt for Cassian Andor[10] was a hunt took place in 5 BBY.[6] ISB Supervisor Dedra Meero organised the hunt for the criminal Cassian Jeron Andor for his role in the ambush on Ferrix and his links to the rebel operative Axis.[3]

When she arrived, she set up an active base in the Ferrix main city. Before she arrived, Dedra Meero had questioned former Preox-Morlana Deputy Inspector Syril Karn to find out any information about Andor. The Imperial forces were initially unaware that Andor was already incarcerated under a false name on the moon Narkina 5.[3]

Following the death of Andor's adopted mother, Maarva, Meero organized trap to catch Andor during Maarva's funeral procession. However, the subsequent riot resulted in Meero's failure, allowing Andor to evade capture and formally join the Axis network.[1]

By 3 BBY, newly-promoted Supervisor Heert was assigned the Axis desk while Meero was reassigned to the Ghorman project. Unwilling to give up her search for Andor, and by extension Axis, Meero stressed to Heert the importance of finding Andor.[11]

Ultimately, the ISB's failure to capture Andor enabled him to steal the TIE Avenger prototype from Sienar Test Facility 73,[12] aid Senator Mon Mothma's escape from the Senate,[13], extract Kleya Marki[14] and steal the Death Star plans from Scarif.[15]
