In 5 BBY,^[4] a robust garrison^[6] of the Imperial Army was established on the planet Ferrix to establish the Galactic Empire's new authority over the world^[1] and, in the wake of the chaotic ambush on Ferrix,^[7] quell any form of possible uprising.^[6] Composed mainly of Imperial security troopers but also including a smaller number of stormtroopers,^[3] the deployment was established following the removal of Preox-Morlana's authority over the Morlana sector due to the ambush on Ferrix.^[8] They were headquartered in Hotel Rix.^[1]
