The Mandalorian Season 2 1 is the first issue of the 2023 canon comic series Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2. It is an adaptation of the ninth episode of the television series Star Wars: The Mandalorian. The issue was written by Rodney Barnes, illustrated by Georges Jeanty, Karl Story, and Rachelle Rosenberg, and published by Marvel Comics on June 21, 2023.

SEASON 2 OF THE HIT DISNEY+ SERIES IS HERE! GROGU AND DIN DJARIN return in "CHAPTER 9: THE MARSHAL"! The Mandalorian is drawn to the Outer Rim in search of others of his kind. Following rumors of another Mandalorian, he instead comes face-to-face with MARSHAL COBB VANTH wearing very familiar armor! Mando and Grogu have stepped into a situation bigger than they realize! Following the tradition of Season 1, RODNEY BARNES and GEORGES JEANTY reunite to bring Season 2 to life once more!

Opening crawl

CHAPTER 9: THE MARSHAL

Din Djarin went from one bounty to the next for most of his life, until being asked to hunt down a child for what turned out to be an old Imperial holdout. This led
the Mandalorian on a quest across the galaxy to hide this child away from those would do him harm, including the evil Imperial warlord Moff Gideon.

Now it's time for Mando to reunite the child with his own kind: the Jedi….
