Battle of Jakku — Last Stand 4 is the fourth and final issue of the 2024 canon comic book limited series Star Wars: Battle of Jakku — Last Stand. The issue was written by Alex Segura, illustrated by Jethro Morales and Jim Campbell, and published by Marvel Comics on January 22, 2025.

ENDGAMES 
Following the Battle of Endor and the destruction of the second Death Star, the galaxy
is in a time of uncertainty. While the rebels forge a path toward peace, there are still
those who would bring chaos and destruction. The war continues on in….

The New Republic began their defensive strikes
against the Empire's remaining forces, including
Admirals Rax and Sloane. Luke, Rynn, Kranor and
Alayita went to Kijimi to convince Tomasso and
the Spice Runners to aid their cause when it was
revealed that Rynn is Tomasso's daughter--a spice
runner who left to join the Rebel cause. Meanwhile,
as Adelhard's troops in the Anoat sector
prepared to strike against the Acolytes of the Beyond, an
ally of the New Republic intervened--Pirate Eleodie
Maracavanya. A three-way fight between the New
Republic, the shattered remains of the Empire and
the rogue Adelhard's forces has begun. With the fate
of the galaxy at stake, the final Battle of Jakku has
begun. This is the last chance for the New Republic….

Plot summary

After rogue Imperial Grand Moff Ubrik Adelhard joins the Battle of Jakku, various factions work to change the tide of the battle. Grand Admiral Rae Sloane moves on foot to stop Counselor Gallius Rax from destroying the remaining Imperial forces as part of his contingency. Rax works works with Acolytes of the Beyond leader Yupe Tashu, a Sentinel droid, and Brendol Hux at the Jakku Observatory. Spice Runners of Kijimi member Tomasso gets permission from leader Zeva Bliss to turn their forces against Adelhard. Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker and New Republic pilot Rynn Zenat rush through the Anoat sector towards Jakku, all the while hoping Tomasso can get the Spice Runners to stop Adelhard.

When Luke and Rynn arrive to Jakku, they are greeted by the pirate Eleodie Maracavanya, who is using zher Super Star Destroyer Liberty's Misrule to keep Adelhard's forces at bay. Luke and Rynn are also helped by Therisa Alern, who has commandeered a TIE fighter. Using access codes to Adelhard's Star Destroyer provided by New Republic spy Kith Alaytia, Rynn opens the bay doors to the Scepter.

As they move their ship in, however, Therisa is killed in battle. This shatters Rynn, and she starts to hastily vie for revenge. Luke is able to calm her down and get her to focus on the mission. Outside the Scepter, the bombardment of Liberty's Misrule grows too much, and Maracavanya decides to retreat. Luke and Rynn are on their own.

On the New Republic's provisional capital, Chandrila, Kith Alaytia updates Chancellor Mon Mothma, Princess Leia Organa, and Han Solo on the many losses the Republic is facing at Jakku and that Luke and Rynn have boarded the Scepter. Solo feels they cannot just sit back and decides he is going to help Luke wherever he can.

Meanwhile, the main New Republic fleet is facing a chaotic rout after their Starhawks start to penetrate the imposing Imperial blockade. Even so, the battle is turning into a stalemate as the New Republic is unable to effectively get past the Ravager and the Punishment. Admiral Gial Ackbar orders Commodore Kyrsta Agate to evacuate the Concord, but she remains hopeful they can find a way to break through.

Adelhard takes this opportunity to announce his presence as a third party in this conflict. He announces on an open channel that his goal is total annihilation of everyone. Unbeknownst to the Moff, this inspires Zeva Bliss to call for her forces to turn on Adelhard. This signal also activates Acolytes of the Beyond mystic Reyna Oskure to plunge a dagger into Commander Bragh's chest, killing him. She prepares to kill Adelhard too, but he slices the Anzati in her abdomen with his own vibro-ax. The wounded mystic speaks to the governor's imminent demise at the hands of the underworld, but he still believes the Spice Runners to be at his side. Just then, Lieutenant Brabaum announces to Adelhard that the Spice Runners have turned their ships against him. They cause massive damage to the Scepter.

Rynn moves through the burning corridors of the Scepter and runs into Reyna Oskure. The mystic is heading towards the docking bay to escape, and Rynn reluctantly lets her live since she has to complete her mission with little time to spare, especially as the Millennium Falcon arrives to support General Lando Calrissian. Han gets his friends to help him clear the way to the Scepter.

On the Concord, Commodore Agate asks for permission from Admiral Ackbar to use her ship to take out the Ravager. Ackbar wishes she could live, but he relents. This action changes the tide of the battle and ultimately allows the New Republic to win the war.

Back on the Scepter Luke finds his way to Adelhard. His goal is not to kill the governor, but to try and save him. This evokes laughter from Adelhard, who then swings at Luke with his vibro-ax. Adelhard cannot be reasoned with, and hints that the victory will be short-lived. Before he can elaborate, he is shot in the shoulder by Rynn. Luke and Zenat rush to the Millennium Falcon as time grows short. They get clear before the ship explodes, and Han feels like things might really be done this time.

Following the battle, Rae Sloane is tasked by the dying Rax to follow through with Palpatine's Contingency in the Unknown Regions. The New Republic and Mas Amedda sign the Galactic Concordance, officially ending the war. Leia and Han's son, Ben Solo, is born.

Later, somewhere in the Fenril sector, a mysterious Praetor speaks with Prime Minister Kezrin Almovar of Pirros in a cantina. The figure offers to Almovar a chance to gain immense power and freedom from the New Republic at a high price...
