Wrea

Wrea was a planet in the galaxy's Outer Rim Territories.

Description

The planet Wrea^[5] was located in the Outer Rim Territories.^[1] It was notoriously difficult to reach because of the Smuggler's Run asteroid belt nearby. Wrea was mostly covered in oceans. It featured little land masses scattered over the surface, which were rocky and included grass and scrub brush. It was the homeworld of the aquatic Wrean species.^[5]

Wrea was generally cold and smelled salty due to the oceans. It appeared mostly blue from space.^[5]

History

During the Clone Wars, it hosted a Separatist presence and at least one base that included a comm tower.^[5] During the war, a siege took place on Wrea, where clone troopers fought against Separatist forces. Clone Intelligence later mentioned the siege in a report collected in the guide "Neyo's Almanac of Clankers."^[7] By the time the war ended, many of the battle droid bodies were left on Wrea. During the Imperial Era, freedom fighter Saw Gerrera established a base for his Partisans insurgent group here. Following the capture of Galen Erso, Gerrera rescued Galen's daughter Jyn and brought her to his base on Wrea.^[5]
