LothalNet comm tower E-272 during the Imperial Era

A comm tower was a tower used to aid communications. Lothal had several of them, including Comm Tower E-234[1] and LothalNet comm tower E-272, which Ezra Bridger lived in after it was abandoned.[2] The Galactic Empire's main comm tower on the planet was later destroyed on the orders of Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin after the Spectres hijacked it.[3] Comm towers could also be found on Lah'mu and Wrea.[4] At some point by 1 BBY,[5] a communications tower was destroyed by the Drabatan rebel Paodok'Draba'Takat during a demolitions job on the astronomical object of Foerost.[6]

Behind the scenes

A comm tower first appeared in Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion, the 2014 animated two-part premiere for Star Wars Rebels.[2]
