A map of the galaxy with the Standard Galactic Grid
- "UNKNOWN CONSTRUCT Location: Coordinates -340.11, -79.72, 1.06/ - Standard Galactic Grid H-10"
- ―A Rebel intelligence report mentions the Standard Galactic Grid
The Standard Galactic Grid was a reference system used in giving the location of a galactic point by grid coordinates. Each grid square was assigned a letter increasing from galactic west to east and a number increasing from galactic north to south. For example, the Rebel Alliance pilot Far Needle Theta once spotted the Death Star in the grid area designated H-10,[1] the planet Kashyyyk was placed on grid square P-9, and Coruscant on L-9.[2]
