Gobee

That you reverted an edit I suggested in my Inquisitorius review of Gobee without notifying me so that I could remove my vote and un-strike my objection, or at the least talk about it, is highly inappropriate. A few months back, I seem to remember blocking another user for this sort of thing—it's a WP:POINT violation and it subverts the featured article rules. Therefore, I feel it is necessary to issue a warning to similar effect. Please in the future notify any objectors if you plan to change back any suggested edits from their featured article reviews. Graestan(Talk) 06:10, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

  • I have to take some credit here. I queued the article so quickly, that Grae didn't have time to go back to his objection. Cull Tremayne 06:16, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
  • I've nothing to add, but the situation is outlined briefly here. Any comments you have on that talk page would be appreciated. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 13:09, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
    • The warning is still valid. This is an "Inq should know better" sort of situation, in my opinion. I don't protest here that Cull queued it quickly; only that you changed back suggested edits without notifying me. You are an Inquisitor—you are supposed to be well acquainted with the rules and how the system works. So, I must reiterate: this is indeed a warning. Graestan(Talk) 13:46, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

Johun Othone

Hey Tommy, would you mind going back to your objection on Johun? I gave it a pretty extensive copyedit, so would you mind looking it over and pointing out any grammatical errors that I might have missed? Cull Tremayne 06:16, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

  • I know I'm beating the drum here, but too much to ask for you to give this article a quick look over? I understand if you're a little busy; just didn't want to let you off the hook. :P Cull Tremayne 00:01, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
    • Thanks, I appreciate it. :D Cull Tremayne 00:21, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

Alphabetizing Articles

Hey I'm working on alphabetizing a article and wondering how i should place Lomi Plo because the article has her listed as Dark Jedi Lomi Plo so would i place her in D's or L's? User:Rayn3000

Kopecz Fact File

Tommy, the Kopecz info comes from issue 92 of the Fact Files. - Cavalier One20px(Squadron channel) 08:50, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

Archiving FAs.

Don't forget to update the count on the FA page when adding new FAs. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 19:22, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

  • No problem. I usually use GT's excellent FA queue checklist, which might come in handy. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 19:29, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
  • Hey, 4dot also noticed you forgot to change the dates from {{FeaturedFuture|January|1|2009}} to whatever date the article is on the queue, and the oldids you're using are wrong. For the first one, you use the revision when {{FAnom}} was added and for the latter you use the revision when the FA star was added. It's outlined in GT's checklist, anyway. Cheers, -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 13:35, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Grand Master

Hey, it's me, from the Jedi GM page. Since I don't want to cause a editing mess, I decided to take this matter to you, as I was advised. I would like to remove the Jedi Convocation section, as only Luke has been seen to call convocations, and he called 3 of them while only the Head of the Order, no the GM. BC

Darth Maladi

Hey Tommy, it seems like you're updating an article I wrote and made a FA. Since you seem to have the issue that just came out, and I don't, would you mind just updating the article fully for me so it doesn't get stripped of FA status or written terribly by some anon? Thanks, and cheers, DC 13:38, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Review request

It would be greatly appreciated if you could give Bek-Vulkar War a preliminary examination, so that it can be better-prepared for the FAN process. No rush, but any help would be very much appreciated.--Goodwood 20px (Alliance Intelligence) 02:50, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Battle of Iziz (Beast Wars)

Hey. Your FAN for Battle of Iziz has gone inactive for a month. Can you take a look at the remaining objections soon or it is likely to be removed. Thanks. Green Tentacle (Talk) 23:03, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

  • Cool. Just trying to get some of the older ones moving. Green Tentacle (Talk) 23:19, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

RE: Force Speed

Hey Tommy, I've done an extensive search and have added accordingly. I've gotten to the point where I'm struggling to think of something I haven't searched through so I was wondering if you could take look through it whenever you can :-). I've linked alot more too and hopefully got them all. Thanks for your help :-). Grunny (Talk) 07:48, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

  • Hey again :), I saw you added The Crystal Star to the appearances (I searched through that book though i think it was late at night when I did so so I may have missed it :S), I was wondering where it was used and by who so I can maybe add it to the article? Thanks again :-) Grunny (Talk) 23:04, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
    • Oh, is it this?: "Tokens, he called them. His "tokens"' were a greater gift than a natural world." She trembled with tension. "It appears... he presented one to Hethrir." Lelila put on a burst of speed. Her ship arrowed toward the tiny artificial planet." because in that scene she's piloting so the burst of speed refers to the ship she's piloting towards the worldship. I remember I got a bit excited when I saw burst of speed :P. Grunny (Talk) 23:33, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
      • Thanks Tommy, I've gotten through most of the books, and am going through my comics now I should hopefully be done soon-ish :). In the mean time if you see anything else in the article that could be improved suggestions would be much appreciated :). Thanks again for everything so far :-). Grunny (Talk) 23:54, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

Darth Azard

Hey Tommy, I've been working on the Darth Azard article and I used your Darth Reave article as a basis :) (hope you don't mind ;P). I was wondering if you could take a quick look over it when you have the time and tell me what you think. I'm hoping Grand Moff Tranner or someone else can help me add or reference something from the Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia (since I don't have it) so I can nom it for GA. But until then, could you see if theres some things that need improving? Thanks :-). Grunny (Talk) 15:55, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

  • I removed the many Sith using double-bladed lightsabers, I think I did that automatically but now I think about it I do think Azard was the only one. I also cleared the text bubble from the image :). The infobox one, I don't know if there's a better one but I hope there is because I agree its not the greatest, but it does show most of his face clearly. I can't remember him using lightning, but I may be mistaken. You have full permission to edit this article and tear it apart if you so wish :). I haven't been on the IRC before, but if I'm not mistaken the wikia provides an access doesn't it? I'll work out how to get on there and I'd be glad to catch you there :). Thanks again. Grunny (Talk) 16:29, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
    • Hey Tommy. Can't believe I missed that Force lightning, I added it and the Force choke to the P&A section. Grand Moff Tranner got back to me on the Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, apparently Darth Azard only appears in a picture. I imagine that means I don't have to reference it :). So I'll remove the inuse tags and if you could make some changes as you see fit and I'll nom it :-). Thanks :) Grunny (Talk) 07:54, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
    • Oh and while I remember, I finished searching through my comics and have now found all instances of Force speed that I can find. In future I'll keep my eye out from new additions and info from new books and other sources as they come out to make sure the article is up to GA :-). Thanks Tommy Grunny (Talk) 10:21, 16 January 2009 (UTC)

hi tommy

Thanks for the welcome. I'm not sure what i can add. You guys are light years a head of me. It's just that it's been over twenty years since I've been connected to anything star wars and I use the wookieepedia as a recap course for getting aware of stuff I forgot or missed. i do have about half of my original Seventies figures in storage in a trunk at my house in case they're ever worth anything. Gudb

What's the source for Gudb being a Chadra-Fan? -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 13:21, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

  • The comic doesn't explicitly say he's a Chadra-Fan, though, does it? I think there's way too much ambiguity in his appearance to state it as fact. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 14:54, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
    • Well, I think even when he's got the smaller appearance there's still some ambiguity. I wouldn't say this image is a Chadra-Fan, for example. "Short, red-faced being" doesn't necessarily mean Chadra-Fan, and in any case CUSWE isn't an official source. I think all mention of his species should be relegated to the BtS, where you can explain the change in size etc. as well. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 15:45, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

Re: Goldblade

Hey Tommy. In case I couldn't catch you in IRC, I wanted you to know that I have turned to other ventures for a couple of days so that we won't conflict each other since both of our schedules are a bit random. I didn't want you to think that I was blowing off the work :p I will continue soon, but for now I am looking at past criticism and gathering information. By the way, great image you picked. I was thinking of the same one myself. In any case, I'm sure I'll catch up with you soon. Cylka-talk- 17:19, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

  • I have something for you to consider in regards to our favorite duo. In this issue, during the skirmish on this planet, I was wondering if it was a storm, or if maybe wind was involved instead. Let me know what you think. Cylka-talk- 03:10, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

Re: Confrontation on Ambria

Hi Tommy, sorry about that. Like I said, I'm pretty new to this... Anyway, should I go ahead and nominate the article? Thanks for your help! Jonjedigrandmaster 20:33, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

  • Hey, I've worked on the article some more, so if you could check it and tell me if there is anything else I need to do, I would appreciate it. Thanks! Jonjedigrandmaster 15:22, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
  • I extended the intro. Anything else that I should add to it or is it ready to go? Jonjedigrandmaster 01:07, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

Darth Bane

Hey, Tommy. I see that your a member of the New Sith Wars Wookieeproject. Here's some info for Darth Bane: The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia has confirmed that he is the Sith'ari, and the resource book Threats of the Galaxy has confirmed that he was a practitioner of Juyo.--Jedi Kasra (talk) 16:21, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Darth Kruhl

Heya Tommy. I'm going to tell you the same thing that I told Grunny. Pretty soon I'm just going to make a section on your talk page called "Successful GAs" and list them as they come along :p Darth Kruhl has been archived. Cylka-talk- 18:05, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Re:Quanto

OK, copyedit complete. There is one sentence in the Bts that will have to be fixed by someone familiar with the source, which I am not.

"He then sends Quanto off to follow the Sunriders while he parlays with Bogga."

"Parlay" needs to either have an object added or be changed to a different verb, as it is incorrect as written. Otherwise the article should be ready to go. Let me know if you have any questions. Master JonathanJedi Council Chambers 00:41, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

Re:XoXaan

OK, XoXaan should be ready to go. I actually added The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia as a source and put an objection on the GA nom based on a tidbit from the CWSE entry that isn't in the article earlier this evening, so it caught me a little by surprise when it showed up on my talk page as a copyedit request. ;) Take care of the objection (it should be pretty simple - the one sentence quoted in the objection is literally all it says about that) and I'll give you a user vote. :) Master JonathanJedi Council Chambers 03:42, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

Nihl

Hey Tommy, I wondered if I could run this by you, and perhaps you could give it a review and a copyedit before I nom it for GA if you have the time. Cheers, DC 07:37, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

  • Thank you :) DC 17:13, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

Re: Strangler

Heya Tommy. I am inclined to agree with you, but I am hesitant to support at 100% until there is more confirmation. I'm sure that the next issue, or JJM's notes will have something to say about it. Unfortunately, there is an argument for it to be speculation. Cylka-talk- 03:42, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

  • Well Tommy, looking at the talk pages for the articles, it seems that I have been overruled. I'll go with whatever you want. Cylka-talk- 12:28, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

--Revan, Prodigal Knight 05:49, 1 March 2009 (UTC)Hi Tommy. About the Strangler's article, could you take a look in the discussion page?

Re:Copyedit requests

OK, Toki Tollivar should be ready to go. There were only a few spelling and grammar errors; the main problems had to do with links—there were several instances of links to redirects as well as a few instances of double linking in the body of the article. I think I corrected most of those. Along those lines, the links to Corellian Strangler were removed, as Corellian Strangler redirects back to Toki Tollivar. Also, be aware (if you're not already) that Kelven Garnatrope, which is linked in the intro, main body, and "See also" section, has been suggested for merging and redirecting into Toki Tollivar, so if that occurs those links will need to be removed.

I have some errands to run, as well as a bowling league tonight, so I probably will not get to Celeste Morne until late tonight or tomorrow. It's a larger article, so I'll probably do it on a section-by-section basis. I'll let you know when it's done. May the Force be with you! Master JonathanJedi Council Chambers 20:16, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

OK, I knocked out Celeste Morne in one session. A couple notes: Rakghoul Plague, when used as that two-word term, is a proper noun and should be capitalized, at least according to the article on it, so I did that. Also, Dreypa's Oubliette, also according to that article, should be capitalized even when simply referred to as the Oubliette; I fixed that also. Just wanted to make sure you know why I did those two things. :) If you need any more articles copyedited, just give me a shout. Master JonathanJedi Council Chambers 05:33, 26 February 2009 (UTC)

  • Thanks, Jonathan just finished doing a copy-edit, actually. I'll wait for the list of problems, so that I can send them the way of the dodo, then I'll re-nominate it.--Jedi Kasra (talk) 15:36, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

Re:Nihl

You didn't claim ownership of the article, but your edit summary implies that people are not allowed to edit the article without your permission, which is not the case. This is a wiki, anyone can edit; if you have a reason to not include something, then by all means revert or remove it, but the fact of who added the info shouldn't really come into play. Articles might be written mainly by one person, but that doesn't mean others can't add in other bits of info, once there's nothing wrong with what's been added (and there doesn't seem to be in this case). Your comments on my talk page further imply that this is your article (or, DC's via you). I'm not "offering assistance" to anyone, I merely undid an edit I disagreed with, and I will continue to do so, on any article, unless someone explains proper reasons for why the edit was made. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 20:01, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

  • While I appreciate your request for me not to reply, I don't think it's a fair one, since you've accused me of things in your post. So, I apologize, but I'm going to reply. I'm not fond of engaging you or anyone in conflict; remember, you're the one who posted on my talk page, and I was merely replying to that. That you deemed the addition unnecessary is fine and acceptable; however, your edit summary didn't make any mention of this, much less why. I'm not "involving myself in your affairs" -- I undid an edit I thought to be incorrect, and I responded to something on my talk page. I often undo edits, but that doesn't mean I "involve" myself in the editor's affairs, and I think I'm expected to respond to talk page messages. If you grow weary of this, then why do you start it? You're the one turning it into a "conflict."
  • Look, Tommy, I haven't singled you out here or anything of the sort. I haven't sat down and said, "let's start an argument with Tommy." I saw an edit summary in my watchlist that concerned me a tad, and then an edit that removed what seemed like perfectly valid information without a reason given, so I undid it and asked why it shouldn't be there in my edit summary. It's as simple as that.
  • If you don't want me to respond, don't post borderline inflammatory and accusatory comments on my talk page. Alternatively, don't post at all. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 20:29, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
