AWB

Go here, download the top file ("AutoWikiBrowser5###_rev####.zip", numbers vary based on major version and minor revision but the point is that you need a 5.x version not the 4.6.x version. As of now it's AutoWikiBrowser5001_rev6217.zip, but it shouldn't hurt if the build is incremented by the time you get around to it.) and unzip it wherever you have AWB running from. Things got broken when Wikia migrated "www.wikia.com" to "community.wikia.com" a short while ago so it didn't know where to find the checkpage anymore. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 04:14, February 16, 2010 (UTC)

Hey

Heya Tommy! It's really good to hear from you. I know that it's been a really long time since I was around. I had an urgent personal situation last Fall that left me no time for the Wook. Everything has mostly settled down so I'll be around at least a couple of times a week. I see that you have been keeping yourself busy, as always. How are things with you? Cylka-talk- 00:39, February 17, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Hey

Sorry man, I am REALLY busy at the moment and things are only starting to calm before it gets a whole lot busier when University starts on monday. I have been doing the Ravilan article whenever I have spare time, and I am having to read through the LTotS series again to make sure I get my facts right. I hope to have it completed this weekend. I assumed that was what you wanted to talk to me about.... Yes? I'm really sorry man, a lot of important things came up and Ravilan was just not as important as most of them. Ummm, if you still want to talk, give me a message.... I should be able to make contact with you tomorrow at some time.

P.S. I think something is wrong with your talk page.... or is it a new format? Obi-wan Jacobi 17px 11:07, February 19, 2010 (UTC)

  • I'll be around tonight (NZ time) on IRC, in fact, I'm on the IRC right now. Wow, the CSWE, you have some reading to then ehh. :)

Does it say anything about 130,000 BBY Sith civilization? If you have gotten to that bit yet. Theres a whole lot of questions I want to ask about what is in that book(s), like what does it say about Ludo Kressh, Adas, the Sith species in general... but I'll wait till I need to ask them, or until you rerad them. :)Obi-wan Jacobi 17px 23:32, February 20, 2010 (UTC)

  • I'm not on IRC anymore now, I might talk to you tonight (NZ time). Also, does the CSWE say anything about Shar Dakhan, Dathka Graush, Marka Ragnos, Kissai, Massassi, Sorcerers of Tund.... anything like that?Obi-wan Jacobi 17px 23:43, February 20, 2010 (UTC)

Hey Tommy. I'm on right now and I should be around for a little while still. If we don't catch up today, then I should be around off and on tomorrow. Cylka-talk- 02:28, February 24, 2010 (UTC)

Re:

Thanks for your compliment, Tommy. I'm currently a bit busy in RL, so the answer took a bit time. I noted recently that you used AWB for editing. Once read about it and it sounded quite useful. Also, I don't know if I ever did it, but thanks for your help and general contributions here on the site. Quite good contribs that you're doing here. Re: Assistance

Hey Tommy. Sure, I'll take a look at it and see what's missing. Nadd himself wasn't featured as much as his tomb was, but there were a few points. Cylka-talk- 00:33, February 27, 2010 (UTC)

Sith Empire

Hello Tommy, I have been working on the Sith Empire article and wondered if it fell under the jurisdiction of the TOTJ group on the Wookiee. Still cleaning it up but adding what details I can find to the article and putting in references to the various parts. Anyway, I just thought I should ask in case there were any plans to bring the Sith Empire article to a featured article status or something. Darth Batrus 18:50, March 7, 2010 (UTC)

JC Forums Linking

Hey Tommy! This is something I've been wondering for a while, and hopefully you can help me out. I noticed that you edited the link to the Jan Duursema discussion thread in the Bts of Antares Draco, but when I click on it, it takes me to the final page of the thread, with posts from the last few months, rather than to the page in question. Is this because I view 30 posts per page? Is there a number of posts per page that we're supposed to assume someone views when it comes to linking to the JC forums? Thanks in advance. Menkooroo 00:36, March 9, 2010 (UTC)

  • Yeah, sounds good. I know that with TOS forums, you can change the link so the post you're sourcing is at the top of the page, but no such luck with the Jedi Council forums. Whatever the consensus, do you think it would be OK if I made a note in the reference that was like... "Assumes 15 posts viewed per page. Here is the date of the post." ? Or would that just look sloppy? Menkooroo 03:50, March 9, 2010 (UTC)

CSWE

Hey Tommy. I would like you to take a look at the entry for Magda in the CSWE. I have no idea what to do with it and I'm hoping that you will. Thanks. Cylka-talk- 12:30, March 9, 2010 (UTC)

  • Thanks. I just didn't want to start messing with it since I was unfamiliar with it all. Cylka-talk- 14:12, March 9, 2010 (UTC)

RE: Question

I have actually, but I prefer to focus my time on WP:KOTOR. The image categorizing and sourcing that I've been doing is actually as part of WP:Images. I do try and review TOTJ FAN/GANs when I get the chance but I don't think I'll be writing for it in the foreseeable future just yet. I appreciate the offer though ^_^ NayayenTALK 14:51, March 9, 2010 (UTC)

Lol! You are welcome and thank you not only for the award but for your good work on Karkko and other articles. By the way, before you nominate Karkko, make sure to include info about Bly being familiar with Karkko's exploits and/or mentioning him in the report about Order 66 — Otherwise I'll object that the article is incomplete ·;) --Skippy Farlstendoiro 08:23, March 12, 2010 (UTC)

Bogga GAN

Tommy, look, I'm not trying to start an argument. If I'm being inconsistent, it's because I feel that Floyd would benefit from addressing the objection, and I only envisioned it taking him about ten seconds to fix, which I feel is worth it. I do not feel that advocating for consistency over something this small and turning the Bogga GAN into an argument is worth doing. Please be understandable. CC7567 (talk) 22:11, March 13, 2010 (UTC)

So how would you rather the Vestara Khai article be worded? I find it lacking considering the amount of information on her and was about to go through a series of minor edits to flesh out the page a little. --Seleucus Enlil Trebor 20:52, March 18, 2010 (UTC)

Zannah and inuse

Why do you keep reverting all of my edits on the Darth Zannah article? It might heave the inuse tag, but that doesn't mean that I can't add any images or expand the text.--Jen'ari Xer'lyx 22:40, March 19, 2010 (UTC)

Tribeless Sha

Hey Tommy, I saw you moved Sha'natrac Tsu to Tribeless Sha, and I have to say I disagree with the decision. Perhaps she was better known as "Tribeless Sha," but that was still merely a nickname assigned to her. Besides, her name was known before Ben inquired; please see her initial introduction on page 26. Re:Request

Sure thing, Tommy. I'll take a look at the article soon. :) JangFett (Talk) 20:33, March 23, 2010 (UTC)

All right, here are some things that I spotted during my copyedit:

  • "He and the young Jedi's pursuit led them throughout Coruscant, and they eventually cornered the criminal Cassie Cryar on a maglev train with the weapon." This seems rough, as you did not mention Cryar and her friend, Ione Marcy, before. Sinube also interrogated Marcy in that apartment, but it's not mentioned.
    • Addressed.
      • "Once Sinube determined that Cryar and Marcy had killed Movers and taken possession of the lightsaber, the two criminals fled, forcing he and Tano to give chase." It sounds like both Tano and Sinube chased the two girls throughout Coruscant, although only Crysar fled and Tano pursued her. Sinbue stayed behind and interrogated Marcy, but she soon fled after Sinbue contacted the authorities and learned that she was in league with Cryar.
  • "Following the successful emancipation of Eeth Koth," Is there any way you can change this transition? Currently, we don't know the chronological order of the episodes, so we can't assume that Lightsaber Lost took place after Grievous Intrigue/The Deserter.
    • Addressed.
  • The article is too subsectioned. Perhaps you can make a section of the mission, and then put all the information within.
    • How's that? If it still isn't good, feel free to change it up a bit.
      • Much better. I added a quote within the "Mission success" section. Feel free to change it, if you like. :)
  • "Sinube was contacted by Tano" Contacted from what? Comlink should be added in somewhere.
    • Addressed.
  • After double checking the episode guide, I could not find anything that says Tano and Sinube went to a "maglev train station." Other than it saying "train station," I think it would be best if you reflect on that and source it to the episode guide. The episode doesn't say train station or anything similitude.
    • Addressed.
  • You should include airdates of the episode in the bts.
    • This remains, but I'll strike this for now.
  • One more: "By the time of the Clone Wars, he had not been on a mission in years, and was delighted with the prospect of joining Ahsoka Tano in her quest for her stolen lightsaber." Shouldn't this be in the P&T?

I'm going to run through the article once more. Overall, it's very well-written, and a good read. :) JangFett (Talk) 18:22, March 24, 2010 (UTC)

  • No problem, Tommy. :) I'll look through the article once more. Also, for any TCW article, the proper "Around 22 BBY" should be used, because of the unestablished timeline. For sourcing, the TCW novel is acceptable to use. I saw a few cases of "In 22 BBY; By 22 BBY." JangFett (Talk) 02:24, March 25, 2010 (UTC)
    • That's it from me. I see CC will be taking a look at the article, which is good. :) If I find anything else, I'll talk to you here or I'll catch you on IRC sometime. JangFett (Talk) 18:45, March 30, 2010 (UTC)

  • I can link you both pages in case you need them for Lumiya's article. Here and here. Xicer920px(Combadge) 18:24, March 24, 2010 (UTC)
    • Just a reminder Tommy, the "BRI2" part means the second page of Shira's entry. If you want to cite only the first page, then you need to use "BRI1", or if you need to cite both pages, use "BRI1-2". I'm just saying because I noticed you cited the second page to several articles which were only referenced in the first. Thanks. Xicer920px(Combadge) 19:14, March 24, 2010 (UTC)
      • Hey, sorry for taking so long to respond again. I was out. That actually says 27 ABY, so it couldn't be her birth date. I think those dates are just supposed to represent the point in the timeline the latest of the events described in the entry take place. So for Lumiya, 27 ABY would represent the last sentence of her entry: "She continues to ride the spaceways to this day, and her exact whereabouts are unknown." Xicer920px(Combadge) 21:14, March 24, 2010 (UTC)
      • Hey, I noticed you were adding the Naddist Revolt pages to article sources. Another thing you should probably know is that articles are often spread out over different issues. The Naddist Revolt issues I believe were published between issues 113 and 115 (REV1-2 in 113, REV3-4 in 115). I'm not entirely sure though, but our article on issue 113 has the Freedon Nadd Uprising listed. It might be a good idea to ask Jaymach. Also, when someone appears on all pages of an entry I believe you still need to list those pages. I noticed on Ulic's article you listed just "REV." Xicer920px(Combadge) 22:57, March 24, 2010 (UTC)
      • Borsk's Fact File page may also be of some use to you. His listings are based off of the German Fact File, though the issues are more or less the same. He lists the differences between the English and German FFs on the same page. The page names are also slightly different, but it should still help you organize what page appear in what issue. Xicer920px(Combadge) 23:10, March 24, 2010 (UTC)
  • Looks like Freedon Nadd is mentioned on all four pages of Kun's entry in issue 14 (KUN1-4, Exar Kun). Unfortunately I only have scans from the Spanish language Fact File, so I'm not exactly sure what it says. =P Xicer920px(Combadge) 04:13, March 25, 2010 (UTC)

Hey Tommy. When you get a chance, can you do a pre-nom review of my sithspawn? Leave me any issues of my talk page and feel free to make any minor corrections that you see. I'm still not sure about the intro - it may be too vague, but since there is a continuity issue, I thought that making the intro too detailed would cause problems. Anyway, let me know what you think. Tera Sinube

First, let me apologize for not getting to that request for audio for Sinube. I see you've now removed/renamed the section you were referring to and the only quote you have that doesn't have an audio file, sadly, I won't be able to get for you. Even though the lines are timed to be spoken as one dialogue, the lines in the quote are so broken up between scenes meaning trying to piece them together sounds horrible because of differing background noise/music, etc. Again, sorry about that. - JMAS 20px Hey, it's me! 18:41, March 30, 2010 (UTC)

Sinube review

Okay, here's what I got:

  • Where does it say that he's "venerable"? Unless it's referred to somewhere, it's rather POV to say so.
    • The episode guide calls him "aged," for which "venerable" is a synonym.
      • Not quite; according to dictionary.com, venerable means "commanding respect because of great age or impressive dignity; worthy of veneration or reverence, as because of high office or noble character," which really isn't the same thing as "aged." CC7567 (talk) 23:08, March 30, 2010 (UTC)
        • Addressed.
  • Where is there any indication given that it was Sinube who put the criminal databank together? The episode—which you reference it to—gives no indication of the sort. Please fix this throughout the article or clarify it with the source that's backing this claim up.
    • Addressed.
  • "Sinube had developed a detailed database which included the biographical information of nearly every criminal on the planet." Same as above.
  • "Although Sinube abstained from taking a martial position in the Clone Wars, he allowed": "allowed" isn't really being used correctly, seeing as it's a transitive verb. Did he allow himself to participate? Did someone else allow him to participate?
    • Addressed.
  • "Sinube, however, was not selected to join Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker and Masters Obi-Wan Kenobi and Adi Gallia in the subsequent rescue attempt." Can this be rephrased at all to be more accurate? Skywalker, Kenobi, and Gallia volunteered; no one was really selected.
    • How's that?
  • Didn't Sinube wish Nu a good morning? Even if you don't include this, there needs to be a better transition between his waking up and his agreement to help Tano—the latter simply is nonexistent.
    • Smoothed it out a bit, check it out.
  • Can that "around 22 BBY" date be implemented earlier, as it applies to Grievous's capture of Koth as well?
    • Addressed.
  • "embarking on what would be his first assignment in years": can this be mentioned any earlier in the bio?
    • Added a bit to the "Jedi Master" section of the bio, check that out.
  • Next time, please be consistent in using surnames throughout the article; "Tano" always takes precedence in formality over "Ahsoka." I've fixed all mentions for you.
    • Thank you.
  • "at which time Ione Marcy fled through the window and fled in a remote-operated airspeeder": please limit the excessive "fled."
    • Addressed.
  • Can Sinube's interception of Cryar at the next train stop be expanded? Right now, it sounds like he caught up to the train as it was still moving, which is not the best interpretation to imply.
    • How's that?
  • "as the foremost authority on the inner workings of Coruscant's criminal underworld": in the episode, Nu only names him as an expert, not the foremost expert.
    • Addressed.
  • I'm not quite sure why the production order of the episodes is relevant to him. Please clarify or reword it so that it's more significant to him.
    • I added that because the episode guide talks about it. I'm not sure how you would like me to reword it.
      • Nevermind; I suppose that it's fine. CC7567 (talk) 04:57, March 31, 2010 (UTC)
  • Please clarify the spelling error for his fist name between the two episode guides.
    • How's that?
  • Overall, I'd recommend re-watching the episode to make sure that everything is accurate; remember that connections made without any sort of factual basis are fanon. CC7567 (talk) 21:13, March 30, 2010 (UTC)
    • Duly noted. Thank you very much for the review.Tommy 9281 04:10, March 31, 2010 (UTC)
  • As another note, episode titles are always marked with quotation marks in prose, never with italics. Please keep this in mind; that's why I changed them in my first copy-edit. CC7567 (talk) 04:57, March 31, 2010 (UTC)

Referred by Obiwan-Jacobi

Hello there Tommy! Jacobi told me to talk to you about an article I was thinking of making, in the case that it might get deleted or somesuch.

Anyhow, the article I was thinking of making was one on Ludo Kressh's group of defectors during the Great Hyperspace War. Obviously it would have a conjectural title, like 'Sith Hyperspace War Dissidents' or 'Ludo Kressh's Defectors' or just Ludo Kressh's Faction (suggested by Jacobi). What are your thoughts? Jacobi was all for the idea, but wanted me to throw it by you or another of the higher-ups here in Wookieepedia.

On another note, a while ago Jacobi also suggested I join the wookiee project for Tales of the Jedi, and that you would be the one to talk to about that.

Either way, thanks for your time!

  • I just have one minor concern with the article: Sinube was contacted via comlink by Tano, who set off to pursue Cryar as the thief immediately fled the apartment by leaping through the bedroom window. - This kind of makes it sound as if Sinube went after Cryar, not Tano. Otherwise, great job, Tommy! Cylka-talk- 15:01, April 20, 2010 (UTC)

I just removed the Inuse tag because I think I'm finished everything on the article, unless there is something else you want me to do on it.
