Hey, Tommy. Congrats on the new addition to the family. Just so you know, I had a quick objection for Tranner on his article that I posted very shortly after you started the bombardment from the Anvil-class destroyer. After striking the objection, I voted for the article, but it put it over five votes. I'm telling you because I don't want you to feel rushed with approving the article. Take your time with the objections. Once again, congrats. Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 17:40, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

Hey

What's up Tommy? Just wanted to check in and see how you're doing. How's the new baby? Anyway, I made a little additions to the Cade article. You're doing a good job with the intro, take your time, my man.--Jedi Kasra (talk) 18:55, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

Hi Tommy. I just reviewed your Duel FAN and had just the one small objection. See ing as I am the final INQ vote it needs, I thought I'd alert you to it incase you'd miss it otherwise. --Eyrezer 09:49, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

Re:

When it comes to comic scans, Redemption is definitely the top person here. I do have Extinction, so if Redemption isn't able to get that scan for you, just let me know. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 15:51, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

  • I only checked because I noticed the edit summary and I've uploaded several other images from extinction. You made the request of him first, so let's give him a day or two to respond. If he doesn't have it, then I'll gladly provide it for ya. If he is able, then by all means let him have first crack at it. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 20:02, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
    • Considering the alternate dialogue between the two parts in Star Wars Tales 1 and 2 and the combined version in Star Wars Tales Volume 1, perhaps a BTS note should be added to the Duel on Cophrigin V article. Normally I'd think a Bts note should only go in the Extinction article (which I'm about to add) but since you are using a quote from the SWT2 version which differs from the combined version, I think an explanation would benefit the article. I'm at work, but I'd be happy to provide you the full "force ghost dialogue" from the combined version once I get home if you'd like. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 13:12, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
      • I caught myself just before I saved an edit while your inuse tag was still up. I was going to remove the "Star Wars Tales 1" and "Star Wars Tales 2" from Appearances. Having them is redundant since the story Extinction appears in those two comics. Let me know when you're done expanding it and I'll give it a copyedit if you'd like. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 15:13, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
        • There was no reply from Redemption when I checked earlier, and I've got that frame scanned. Would you like me to go ahead and upload it? - JMAS Hey, it's me! 18:13, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

Showdown

I was and am very interested in taking the article to FA, though as I was forced to take out a section during the GAN (because it was written poorly) that was unneccisary then and would be a great boon to its featured status, I was putting it off. I'd like very much to work on it together with you, so long as you don't call me "kiddo" while we work on it :3. NaruHina Talk 14px 01:44, September 15, 2009 (UTC)

Sgauru and Tu-scart

Hi Tommy;

I'm watching you're Invasion edits with great interest and look forward to the day when I can work off the comics myself (they're few a far between out here). I was wondering if Sgauru and Tu-scart are actually specifically confirmed to be the two siege creatures, or if that was an earlier assumption made by another editor?

Kind regards,

-- Harrar (Cut the comm chatter) 12:50, September 16, 2009 (UTC)

  • Well, the effort that's gone to drawing two distinct "siege creatures" in line with the descriptions provided in Balance Point, The Unifying Force and the online supplement does suggest that they are actually intended to be Tu-Scart and Sgauru, so personally I would think that changing it would really be stubborn anti-canon. It's just the user who added the info has a history of doing that so I was uncertain. It ultimately is up to you as you're writing the article (passing the buck :P).

Did you have anything in mind for a co-venture? Surprise me ;)

-- Harrar (Cut the comm chatter) 14:20, September 16, 2009 (UTC)

A surprise indeed! I obviously have LOTF; I can access I, Yuuzhan Vong, in which she features, Evil Never Dies, and own some other material such CSWE, TEA and other reference guides, bar JvS:TEGTTF. Carida: Heavy Duty would be easily accessible for either of us. Where I'm lacking is the Marvel Comics, which I've never even seen, and several of the sources. Plus the Legacy comic, though I imagine you have that. How about yourself? Consider me surprised, btw! - Harrar (Cut the comm chatter) 15:16, September 16, 2009 (UTC)

Well that sounds like we've covered most of the bases. I cleared out my second workbench so we can use that if we like. My concern is that I return to education pretty soon - late September, early October, and my two months away from all material except online stuff might take the winds out of our sails a little. Therefore it might be good to start soonish and get more done. Que piensas? -- Harrar (Cut the comm chatter) 14:09, September 17, 2009 (UTC)

Its a go! -- Harrar (Cut the comm chatter) 14:26, September 17, 2009 (UTC)

Assistance Request

Thank you for the offer of assistance. I'm going to take you up on it. I need help with the Personality and Traits section of the article, because I don't really get the inner workings of Baas' head and I'm not so great at writing whats essentially a phychological profile. Just drop your ideas and suggestions on the articles talk page (it doesn't exist yet, but I guess it will in a couple minutes). Thanks. Jensaarai 17:26, October 8, 2009 (UTC)

  • No, I don't have the Tales of the Jedi audio drama, just the comic. I would prefer you keep edits to the text confined to the articles talk page, though feel free to swap out the images. Jensaarai 17:55, October 8, 2009 (UTC)
  • I feel inclined to believe that my Vodo-Siosk Baas project is more or less complete. Despite its flaws, its still a monumental improvement over the current, and the flaws can be ironed out later. Jensaarai 07:50, October 9, 2009 (UTC)

Sorry to echo Grunny; I missed you message. I'll be on for a while this evening. You've been doing fantastic work on Lumiya, I'm sorry I can't really help you at the moment, Everything's very busy and I'll probably go for a wookieevacation soon seeing as I want to keep away from 501st, Deathtroopers and other spoilers. But I'll be on this eve a bit. -- Harrar (Cut the comm chatter) 17:01, October 25, 2009 (UTC)

  • Hey Tommy I'm sorry we didn't manage to chat in IRC. I'm not sure how I've managed to get so busy here but rather than keep up the pretence that I can be actively involved with Lumiya & Inqing, I'm taking a Wookieevacation until mid December. You've done such a fantastic job on Lumiya; I'm looking forward to writing some of the LOTF areas so if you want to put her on the backburner post Marvel/END then that's fine. If you want to crack on and think you'll get her done before December, then that's okay and I'm sorry I haven't been able to pull my full weight. I'll be able to resume full time work on her in about a month and a half I hope. Safe harbours :) -- Harrar (Cut the comm chatter) 19:13, November 1, 2009 (UTC)

Undo of Adas thing

Greetings, May I ask, why did you just recently undo the edit that I did on the Adas article in reference to him being a perfect being? it states that he was in the KOTOR campaign guide.

"The Sith were a people who called the world Korriban home. but aroundthe year 28,000 BBY, the archetypal model of ambition rises to power among them. This inflexible Sith ruler unites his world into a single Kingdom, and claims the title of both Monarch and God of his people. History calls him King Adas, but according to legend, the force bestows on him a different name: Sith'ari -- the perfect being."

--Page 145

--Obi-wan Jacobi 23:33, November 9, 2009 (UTC)

  • Re: Re: revert

"Hey Obi-Wan,

I reverted your edit because while the KOTOR campaign guide does explicitly state he was "a perfect being," it becomes redundant at that point where the article states he was a "god." Perhaps if it were added to the P&T section it would appear less repetitive. I'm sorry I didn't leave an explanation in the edit summary, and I appreciate you taking the time to confer with me about the matter."

Thank you for your kind and reasonable response! I did not expect a response like that if any response at all, so thank you. I will take your advice into consideration and integrate the "perfect being" part into the Personality and traits section.

"I also noticed that you seem to be fond of things regarding Tales of the Jedi. Have you ever considered participating in Tales of the Jedi project? Let me know your thoughts on this and the Adas thing, and thanks again ;)"

Yes, I am very interseted that has anything to do with the Sith species, so I tend to focus on the articles a lot to continually improve them if I can. In regard to the Tales of the Jedi project; I would be happy to participate in it, thank you! I'm just looking at the project article now, I shall sign my name under the section "Writers and editors" if I may.

Again, thank you for the response and offer. --Obi-wan Jacobi 00:34, November 10, 2009 (UTC)

  • That is a good attitude to have in my opinion. Thank you for the offer, I will be sure to contact you if I need help writing/editing an article. I probably wont be editing Wookieepedia again for about two weeks, but I will try to check my talk page and email frequently. It is a pleasure to be working with you. See you around! --Obi-wan Jacobi 01:18, November 10, 2009 (UTC)
    • Just gonna stick my nose in for a sec. to point out one small detail. "but according to legend,...". He was only a "perfect being" according to legend, legend is not fact. :) Something to think on. - JMAS 20px Hey, it's me! 01:25, November 10, 2009 (UTC)

Naru's objection to Nord

Hey, Tommy, can you strike this objection to Nord by Naruhina?

  • "Aboard his flagship Leviathan, Darth Malak came to the conclusion that the search for Shan was taking too long and ordered the Sith Admiral Saul Karath to have the Sith fleet destroy Taris in order to kill the Jedi. After Revan and his companions disabled the hangar bay's security systems in Kang's estate, they attempted to make it to the Ebon Hawk." It sortof jumps here from the order to their escape. Why are they trying to leave the planet? NaruHina Talk 22:27, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

FA needing Inq review

Hey Tommy. I just noticed that a current FA, specifically Nagai-Tof War, has no BTS whatsoever. Normally I'd post this kind of thing directly on the page for the next Inqmoot, but the newest meeting page that I see on WP:INQ is #29 from October, so I'm bringing it directly to an Inq. Anyway, just make sure it gets reviewed at the next meeting. Thanks! —Master Jonathan(Jedi Council Chambers) 03:59, November 27, 2009 (UTC)

Worror

RoT however did mention that Worror does not have that ability, or at least implied it. "Johun had heard tales of Ithorian Jedi channeling the Force to transform their multiple voices into a devastating sonic weapon. Master Worror, however, was a healer by training, and his power lay in that direction." - DarthHyperion 08:29, December 1, 2009 (UTC)

Shira Brie

Hey Tommy. I originally sent this to Harrar, but he redirected me to you.

  • Hey Harrar,

I was browsing through your workbench, and there's something about Lumiya I want to run by you. I don't know if you have a copy of Marvel #55 at hand, but it's the issue where the rebels first land on Arbra and encounter the Hoojibs. A female rebel pokes her head out of a tent at one point in this issue and says a line --- the scene takes place at night, and the coloring is shaded and doesn't give an indication as to the rebel's hair color, but she looks a lot like Shira Brie, who makes her first appearance in the next issue. I'd provide a scan, but I'm a long way from home and don't have access to any comics. If you have the issue or Screams From the Void, check it out --- I've always felt like that issue should warrant either a "possible appearance" on the Wook, or at least a mention in Behind the scenes. Kressh picture, again.

Hey Tommy,

IFYLOFD isn't replying to my messages about the Ludo Kressh picture on the discussion page of the article. Does that mean he isn't bothered, or well, what does that mean? Does it mean we wont have a chance of changing the picture?

Just as an FYI, while perusing Sinube's article, I noticed a factual error. You state in "The Plot Thickens" section that Ione Marcy claimed to be Movers's girlfriend. That is inaccurate. She never says that. All she says is "I came home" but never claims to be his girlfriend. It's minor, I know, but as I figure you'll be taking this to FAN or at least GAN, might as well get it out of the way now. ;) - JMAS 20px Hey, it's me! 06:00, February 7, 2010 (UTC)

Lightsaber TC

Just letting you know, based on discussion, that I've added a third voting option of "Delete All" which may have been originally what you intended to be voting for all along. Just letting you know in case you wanted to rethink your vote. - JMAS 20px Hey, it's me! 21:18, January 28, 2010 (UTC)

  • I agree, some things have switched, but mainly it's just been the addition of one more voting option, of delete all. But, I feel it only fair to warn you Lumiya's lightwhip will be included in the purge if Delete All passes. You may want to reconsider the not voting to "keep all" for the sake of your FAN. - JMAS 20px Hey, it's me! 22:25, January 28, 2010 (UTC)
    • I am happy that all your hard work on Lumiya's lightwhip isn't going to be for naught, based on the voting so far. I really didn't realize when I started this TC how hot a topic it would turn out to be. But I'm pretty sure this will lead into a notability policy CT at which point her lightwhip article will almost certainly meet any notability requirements. - JMAS 20px Hey, it's me! 18:23, January 30, 2010 (UTC)

Linking colors

Hey, Tommy. I was curious about something that I've seen you do, and I was hoping you could clarify the practice. Often I notice you linking terms for colors, like blue, red, white, yellow, etc. Most of these go to disambiguation pages, which I've been told before should not be linked to. Is it the policy that colors are treated differently? I'm still used to a very minimalist linking style I learned on Wikipedia, so I'd appreciate your input on this.
