"Trading Scars" is a short story written by Samantha Wallschlaeger[1] and published in the developer blog for Star Wars: The Old Republic on August 17, 2017. It serves as a prelude to the Flashpoint: Crisis on Umbara.
Plot summary
Nira and Veesh, two Umbaran commandos, escort a shipment of Adegan crystals onboard a hover train traveling across the dangerous countryside between Umbaran cities. To pass the time during the trip, they tell stories of past trips and battles they have experienced during previous escort missions; to the horror of the rookie commando onboard, who is performing escort duty for the first time. Without warning, the train is attacked by Republic raiders intent on claiming the Adegan crystals for themselves.
