The Galactic Corporate Policy League was a lobbyist group whose efforts, backed by some key senators of the Galactic Republic, led to the creation of the Corporate Sector[1] at some point before 132 BBY.[2] Notable charter members and key signatories included the Trade Federation, Tagge Company, the Consolidated Holdings of Preox-Morlana Corporation, Kuat Drive Yards, Chiewab Amalgamated Pharmaceuticals, and Cybot Galactica.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, the Galactic Corporate Policy League was mentioned in the 2025 reference book Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1] The legaue originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in Han Solo and the Corporate Sector Sourcebook, a 1993 supplement for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game written by Michael Allen Horne and published by West End Games.[3]
