The ocean moon of Amloch was located in the Amloch system of[2] the Outer Rim Territories[1] and the Western Reaches,[3] situated in grid square J-19 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] During the High Republic Era, the moon fell within[2] the Galactic Frontier, a section of the Outer Rim containing locations considered removed far enough from the galaxy's center for the Galactic Republic to send explorers there.[4] In 382 BBY,[5] Jedi Knight Zallah Macri and her Padawan, Kevmo Zink, rescued a team of prospectors from a superstorm on the moon's oceans. After doing so, the pair stayed an additional day, which allowed them to be ready to help Jedi Knight Azlin Rell with a mission on the planet Tiikae.[2]

The ocean moon of Amloch was mentioned in Path of Deceit, a young-adult novel written by Tessa Gratton and Justina Ireland and published in 2022[2] as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase II.[6]
