Tiikae was a small desert planet located between the Starlight Beacon and Coruscant. Controlled by the San Tekka clan under the permission of the Galactic Republic, it housed a settlement inhabited by San Tekka vassals and a Jedi temple during the High Republic Era. When the Nihil attacked Tiikae, the Jedi Vernestra Rwoh, Imri Cantaros, Reath Silas, and Cohmac Vitus responded to assist.[2]
Behind the scenes
Tiikae first appeared in the 2021 young-adult novel The High Republic: Out of the Shadows written by Justina Ireland.[2] Ireland later stated on Twitter that the name Tiikae came about because she was tired of thinking up planet names and then wrote TK, which is a publishing note for "to come."[6]
