Exu Prime was an Outer Rim astronomical object located in the Tolonda sector's Exu Prime system. In 230 BBY, it became stranded behind the Stormwall hyperspace barrier that defined the Nihil marauder-controlled region of space known as the Occlusion Zone.
Between 230 BBY and 229 BBY, Ikkrukkian Jedi Master Porter Engle stole the shuttle of a Nihil patrol on Exu Prime. In 228 BBY, the Occlusion Zone was dissolved following the Stormwall's fall.
Description
Exu Prime was a terrestrial astronomical object[3] located in the Exu Prime system within the Tolonda sector of the Outer Rim[3] and Trailing Sectors.[4] It was situated in grid square R-18 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]
History
Porter Engle ambushed a Nihil patrol on Exu Prime.
During the High Republic Era, Exu Prime was located[3] within a section of the Outer Rim designated as the Galactic Frontier, which contained locations considered removed far enough from the galaxy's center for the Galactic Republic to send explorers there.[2] After the formation of the Nihil marauders' Occlusion Zone region of space[3] in 230 BBY,[5] Exu Prime became trapped behind the Stormwall hyperspace barrier that prevented travel into Nihil territory.[3]
Between 230 BBY and 229 BBY,[5] while the Ikkrukkian Jedi Master Porter Engle was stranded in the Occlusion Zone, he ambushed a Nihil patrol on Exu Prime and stole their shuttle. Many months later,[3] around 229 BBY,[6] Engle—still trapped in the Occlusion Zone—mentally recalled his ambush of the Nihil on Exu Prime while on the planet Daedus.[3] In 228 BBY,[7] the Nihil surrendered to the Republic following the Stormwall's fall, which dissolved the Occlusion Zone. The worlds of that region were welcomed back into the Republic if they wished to rejoin. However, some of those worlds instead opted to retain their independence, while others remained under the control of individual Nihil warlords.[8]
