Yesula

Yesula was a child who lived on the Outer Rim astronomical object Veek with her father and their droid, Zeekay, during the High Republic Era. At some point no earlier than 227 BBY, their home caught fire and Yesula and her father were rescued by Jedi Master Kelnacca and his Padawan, Yarzion Vell. After escaping, Yesula said that Zeekay was still in their home and that he had holos of her dead mother in his databank. Vell rescued Zeekay and reunited Yesula and the droid.

Biography

Yesula was a child who lived on the Outer Rim astronomical object Veek with her father and their droid, Zeekay, during the High Republic Era. She also had a mother, who at some point passed away.^[1] At some point no earlier than 227 BBY,^[2] Yesula's home, as well as multiple buildings around it, caught on fire. When Jedi Master Kelnacca and his Padawan, Yarzion Vell, arrived to rescue them, Yesula's father told her that they had to leave, but Yesula protested. Vell then told them to leave and that the Force would protect them from the flames, and Yesula's father carried her out of the building.^[1]

After they escaped, the two Jedi also safely exited. Yesula then cried out, prompting her father to hush her, but she fretted that Zeekay was still in the building. Her father explained to Vell that he was their droid but that it did not matter as he was old and barely functioning. However, Yesula insisted that it did matter, as Zeekay had holos of her mother in his databank and that losing him would be like losing her again. Upon hearing this, Vell reentered the burning home and rescued Zeekay. The Jedi gave the droid back to Yesula and her father thanked him for doing so.^[1]

Afterward, Vell apologized to Kelnacca for rescuing Zeekay, stating he knew that it was only a droid but that he had done so because of what Yesula had said about the holos of her mother. However, Kelnacca immediately knighted him. Later, Yesula watched as Vell tattooed his own name on Kelnacca's head, as the Jedi Master wished to follow a tradition of Vell's homeworld.^[1] Around 149 BBY,^[3] as Vell was dying, he mentioned Yesula to his own Padawan, Ordea, while telling them about his training under Kelnacca.^[1]

Personality and traits

Yesula was a member of a non-human species. Her body was covered in tan hair, which was lighter in an area around her mouth, and she also had longer black hair on her head. She had black eyes and a black nose.^[1]

Equipment

Yesula wore brown clothing.^[1]

Yesula appeared in a flashback in the one-shot comic The Acolyte - Kelnacca 1, written by Cavan Scott, illustrated by Marika Cresta, and published by Marvel Comics^[1] on September 4, 2024.^[4]
