- "Zeekay has holos of mother in his databank. If he's gone, she's gone. We will lose her all over again."
- ―Yesula
A female individual was the mother of the child Yesula, a member of a non-human species.[2] By around 149 BBY,[1] the mother died. After her death,[2] between 227 BBY and 149 BBY,[1] the home of Yesula and her father caught on fire. After being rescued by Jedi Master Kelnacca and his Padawan, Yarzion Vell, Yesula said that their droid Zeekay was still inside. Her father said it did not matter, as he was barely functioning, but when Yesula told the Jedi he had holos of her mother in his databank and that losing him would be like losing her again, Vell re-entered the burning building and rescued Zeekay. After Yesula's father thanked him, Vell apologized to Kelnacca for rescuing the droid, explaining that he had done so because the holos of Yesula's mother were stored in him. Kelnacca nevertheless knighted him.[2] Around 149 BBY,[1] as Vell was dying, he mentioned Yesula's mother while telling his own Padawan, Ordea, about his training under Kelnacca.[2]

Notes and references
- ↑ 1.0 1.1 1.2 1.3 The section of The Acolyte - Kelnacca 1 in which Yesula's mother's death is mentioned takes place at least three years after the fall of Starlight Beacon, which equates to 227 BBY per Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia. It also takes place before the present day events of the comic. As Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide establishes Kelnacca was 230 years old during the comic's present day events, and it establishes he was 149 years old when Starlight Beacon fell, the comic's present day events must occur around 149 BBY and Yesula's mother must have died by around that year.
